"James?! James?" I panicked now to see him grimacing in pain.
"Nothing." He can still calm me. A back? Back where? I can't see it and I don't know what to do.
"Follow him! Push him into OR straight away!" Deborah took over the situation. My hands were trembling, now almost crying, following beside her.
"You can't die." The only thing I'm afraid of, is that he disappeared like Fred left me or like my brother left me. I saw the seepage on his rear side, while helping to lift him to the push bed, hopefully just slammed his shoulder.
"Well, Tootsie, I'm not gonna die. It's just grazing the top like it..." And he can still smile and joke with me. I had tears in my eyes because I was worried.
"What is this?!" Joshua came quickly to OR.
"Joshua, the back seems to be turning to the left arm. The pain is there." He still has time to diagnose himself. Joshua was editing his clothes that were soaked with blood. His blood was still flowing and made my legs go limp.
"X-Ray." They're working straight away to ascertain where the bullets are lodged. "Clear." Everyone stayed away from radiation exposure when exposure to the machine provided detailed imaging.
"Jen get out." James still got me out.
"I'm just here." Everyone saw me crying, I was too emotional to help here.
"Jen, he's safe with me. You gotta get out. Initiate anesthesia. Jordan took Jen out." Joshua told me to get out now. While all the busyness is happening around me.
"Jen, let's let them work." A nurse took me out.
"Did you see Jordan's x-ray?" I didn't see the x-ray.
"It looks like it's turning right into the left arm. It should be okay, I help inside okay. Calm yourself here." Jordan went inside and I sat down to calm myself down.
"Jen, how's James doing?!" Tom now comes into the room I'm waiting for.
"They said the shot shouldn't have threatened his life." My voice vibrates.
"You okay?" Tom realized I was very worried.
"Yes, I'm just worried. He's on his birthday today. Our head chef agreed to make a small celebration. Why is there such an incident."
"It was an accident, nobody expected it. But James should recover if they say they're not life threatening."
"Well, it should be." I remember how that guy was."How's that guy?"
"We've put him in the city jail. The mayor will determine how to take care of it later."
Not long ago many came. The mayor, the company commander, the doctors, Michelle, and Dixon were all worried, too. I told you all I know about his condition, it shouldn't be a life-threatening condition.
"Thank God, then let us know if he's done with the surgery, I have something to take care of first."
"Thank you, Mayor." They left later.
The operation lasted about an hour. Joshua came out and approached me later
"He's okay, not a dangerous thing. The bullet turned to his shoulder. Maybe he can't do the surgery for a while. But he'll recover soon enough." Relieved, that's what's on my mind right now.
