THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 58's. New Town - Hot Spring
The party is over. We're back to our work. Well, even though D'Angelo and Susan were given a day off. They remained at the base, because of course there were no tourist attractions that they could visit eventually they also joined us again.
"Commander requests a briefing immediately. The medical team included Jen, Susan, Sarah, Doctor James, Doctor Noah, military support team Andrew. In 15 minutes." A messenger gets to the health triage.
Is there a problem, or will we be asked to cover the refugee camp? I wondered in my heart.
"What do we have this time?"
"Eitherway. There may be problems in the refugee camp. We'll know later." We immediately joined the others in the main command building.
There the military support team is already there. The commander immediately began a briefing.
"Our team of infantry is sweeping through the Hot Springs area. This city could be said to be a dead black city, all its inhabitants in the city were infected or fled. But it turns out there is a population of about 800 people who survive on the Northwood Trail. It's a higher plateau, often used for hiking trails. There was a lake, a water source, probably because there was a natural fortress so they couldn't reach this place."
The map shows the place we were going.

Besides Hot Spring, there are several other cities that have not been cleaned because it is more dense it seems that the expansion of the city nodes will safely run faster. Life is now back as if living in a city fortress. There must be a company military command that secures the city while its inhabitants return to the base of agriculture, the fulfillment of basic necessities. It may take decades for life to recover.
"Understand Sir."
"And Doctor James, you will be the pioneering medical group for this city. There are two hospitals in Hot Spring, the inventory data find your own additional medical personnel among survivors. If you're in big trouble then we'll help. The demand for medical devices remains in supply from this base but you know our limitations . Base can't promise immediate deliveries so you'll have to comb through abandoned hospital stockpiles, clinics and more. Operate as much as you can the hospital, ask local personnel to work. The hospital building would be the perfect shelter for them temporarily. Coordination with the military to keep her down."
"Understand sir, me and the appointed team will do their best."
We were kicked into our own independent city as it turned out, after months of working at this base we would be in our own city.
