I'm glad Mom's not against us anymore. Now it feels calmer to do all the work. Albert is the only one to be convinced.
"I think I should go to Montreal to meet your mom and brother. Talk about us, otherwise you'll face pressure again." The next week I met Gilbert in Washington DC.
I can't wait to tell her that Mom isn't against our relationship anymore. It's a surprise for him.
"No, I've agreed, she's not against us anymore, the important thing is to win Albert's approval."
"Have your mother really agreed?"
"Our quarrel probably made him realize he couldn't force his understanding on me. Maybe he finally realized that if there wasn't you we wouldn't be together like this anymore."
"You guys made up? You've talked to him."
"Yes, we've made up."
"That's great, but it's okay if I see her, she's your mother, I want to tell her I'll take good care of you. About Albert, he's somehow one of the company's biggest shareholders. I need to talk to him about investing, it doesn't feel right that I don't talk a word about our relationship."
"I know you mean, but for Albert, give me two three months' time okay, we stick to our previous plan, I'll try to help Albert with my assignment there, in the meantime, we are patient. To break Albert we need patience. I know Albert, I think this is the best way. It's fine that we can only meet like this for a while, you can focus on your work. But we can talk to Mom first. If possible I'd like Monica to be able to replace my duties in Canada." I told you Monica liked Andrew a little, if they could have a relationship maybe Monica could just settle down and work in Montreal.

"Yes. We just have to do the best we can from our side and wait for the result now. Especially you should work on your report impressing my brother in this first year. Maybe somehow Monica can take my duties quickly and I just have to give a little direction later. Maybe we're lucky with all our efforts."
"I'm really trying hard to add zero to my financial statements, to have a face to talk to your brother." I chuckled and hugged my General who I knew was always trying to make the best of this.
"I know you can. So get excited."
"Why is Monica now replacing you with party events? Usually he doesn't want to." Albert is now asking me.
"He's getting Andrew's attention, our dear Monic likes Andrew, so I'm giving him a job that lets him meet Andrew."
"Ohhh, I really don't think Monic has feelings for Andrew. Is he focused on his button now? She's not taking any more modeling jobs?"
"Yes, she doesn't take the runway anymore just a still magazine model and an advertisement that doesn't take her time. He'll be more in Montreal."
"You and Gilbert are still walking."
"Yes still, we're fine." Albert was silent and thought. A few days ago, the first half report on the local market came out I don't know how Andrew responded but Gilbert said it was good.
"Is he nice to you? You don't fear she flirted with the other girls there." Only now did he ask such a question.
"He's a serious guy, I have no doubts about Gilbert, he's working on everything well. You know he didn't help us just yet. It's not just Andrew who helps us when it's hard."
"Yes I know. But what I don't think is that. I just want you to be happy." I smiled at Albert.
"I don't think I've ever felt him hurt my heart. Although we have a long distance relationship we are happy and supportive of each other. He said he'd prove himself to me when he managed to develop the capital you put into the new Local Market he talked to you about us. And I also want Monica to be your daughter-in-law at least." Albert is smiling. "Are you going to approve us Albert?"
Now I'm waiting for the answer.
