THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 88's. Moscow 3

"You look nervous?" Today we're going to Aunt's. My Svetluny looks a little nervous.

I thought of her as the mother I never had and she thought of me as her son, and all her children were close to me.

"I'm afraid of mispronouncing. Meeting an older person will still be interesting at first. I don't know what your culture is, maybe there are wrong words. This is pretty thrilling anyway."

"Auntie is a friendly person, she is as warm as the sun and as soft as snow. You don't have to worry too much." He laughed, his little worries seemed to disappear.

"All right, let's go. We can't let them wait."

We arrived at Aunt's house in the Myshetskoye area. My aunt welcomed us to her door.

"Guests from far away. Welcome, Monica, you're as beautiful as your picture." Auntie greeted Monica first kindly.

"Auntie's happy to see you." Svetluny welcomed Aunt's warm embrace, with her smile.

"Alex, this is your first love, isn't it, Auntie doesn't blame you for having such high standards." I laughed, obviously I didn't trade my Svetluny for anything else. But it's not her beauty, I'm mostly trapped for what she's done for me.

"Auntie is very complimentary, Aunt also looks very pretty." Svetluny returned the compliment.

"I'm old baby, but this old Aunt is always happy Alex can come back every Maslenitsa. Come on in, Auntie's prepared a lot of food I hope you like."

I introduced him to my Uncle and my cousins. They were friendly to him and with understanding turned many of the talks into English to make Svetluny comfortable.

"Why do you eat so much, a week of celebration isn't that wonderful."

"It was easy because the next forty days we entered the fasting period, we did not eat butter, cheese or any other dairy products. So this Sunday is the last day we eat good before the 40-day Easter fast."

"Ohh so."

"The first day of fasting is called literally White Monday. People fast and for the next 40 days all dairy products are prohibited, fish, olive oil, wine, butter, even you are forbidden to bathe, wash dishes, of course there are no more pancakes."

"Ahhh so this is having fun before fasting."

"True, like the last celebration before you have to fast, not all of the fast is of course the rules of the Russian orthodox church."

"I understand."

"This is the first time you've come to Moscow. Do you like it. " Aunty asked Svetluny.

"Yes right, I like it of course. Maslenitsa here is so festive."

"Auntie's glad you like it. If Alex and you move here in a few years, you'll slowly like Moscow and get used to it. But you're an international model, moving countries should be normal for you.." while Svetluny was stunned by Aunt's words. I spoke to him in Russian.

"Aunt us don't talk about my move yet."

"Oh, why?" Aunt in surprise returned me.

"We haven't agreed." I replied to him briefly.

Aunty looked at me but she finally understood.

"Ohh well. Sorry Monic, Aunt didn't know about it. It depends on the agreement between the two of you. Let's just say Aunt never asked." Bibi quickly switched the conversation to something else. I hope he won't discuss this at the hotel.

While Svetluny was talking to my cousin, Aunt pulled me in the other direction.

"He didn't want to move, he insisted. I need time to slowly persuade her, I won't be able to hurry, maybe I should force her with a certain situation. It's kind of hard for me Auntie, but I'm not gonna take it off either. Luckily my move was still a long way off, Dad could still control everything, I still had time to persuade him."

"Good God, Auntie didn't know it was gonna be that bad. You can't even persuade her yet?"

"Yes for a while we haven't come to an agreement."

"Hmm, okay. Hope you can persuade him. You're not moving any time soon anyway. Maybe he's uncomfortable because of a language barrier he doesn't know. But Canada and Moscow are very different, Bibi doesn't blame her for not wanting you to move here."

"Yes, maybe one of them, I'll try to persuade him. But of course it takes time, I don't blame him for taking the time to agree."

"Auntie hopes everything goes well. Let's just go back to them."

The dinner was full of laughter. I think we're all trying to make Svetluny comfortable. But all the way home he was a little quiet. I think it's because Bibi said we're moving to Moscow.

"Auntie doesn't know yet about our talks about Moscow. You don't have to think about it too much." I tried to talk to him.

"It's okay." He smiled at me. "Your mother is a friendly person. He is as warm as the sun.

"Tomorrow we'll go to your house?"

"Yes, tomorrow there's Uncle's family coming over for dinner at Dad's. Because Dad is the oldest. Aunty is also coming, there are two half-sisters of mine as well. The second day is a big family day to gather."

"Will your stepmother put a sour face on you?"

"No, if there's a Dad she'll be everyone's dream mom. He will be sweet too. Don'worry. The one with the sour face is probably Sergie."

"Ohh why?"

"Crop the money locked by Dad. Obviously he put on a sour face. The financial statements are minus like I was last year, minus this can't be recovered so Dad withdrew his authority in the investment company. Besides, I intend to pull him into the ring to teach him a lesson."

"It's the week of celebration, do you still intend to fight with him?! You're too much, can't you just apologize to each other."

"If I'm done giving him a raw bogem, we can forget it and forgive, after all if I don't fight with him, he'll make it difficult for me in the future. So he had to be taught a lesson anyway so that he would obey."

"That's your logic, when all can be spoken of without violence." Svetluny sighed at my excuse. It seems that he never agreed with my violent path.

"You're gonna beat him up in your house? Isn't that overkill? Your dinner agenda is to beat each other up, you're pretty magical."

"No I'm gonna drag him into the boxing ring. The head of the guard Dad has a boxing gym. I'll drag him there." Of course I wouldn't go crazy eating bruised and bloody.

"Does he want you to drag him there? What if he runs away and doesn't serve you."

"Oh he boasted he would hit me first, he was more eager to beat me. Just I don't know if that spoiled kid can fight or not." Svetluny sighed hearing my words.

"Sup to you. I don't understand seeing your desire to fight each other. I'll just sit on the sidelines and watch. I won't even support you. Whatever you think whatever I say won't stop you. So just do what you want."

He's correct. Nothing can stop me from fighting with the old snake's beloved son. Ever since I found out he was planning to kill me and send people to hurt Svetluny. In my mind there is only one word.

I'll beat him myself with my hand. After all, she had always been in the wind since she was a child because her mother defended her.

This time he had to pay because his courage was over the limit.
