THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 162's. The Love Gambling 6

"What can't I hear?!" I immediately protested with annoyance, in vain I cried heartbreak, healing my heart with great difficulty. Even he knew my plan and said nothing. It's so annoying, I feel played with.

James didn't answer me. Gilbert grinned to see me squabbling with James. This is so stupid? He purposely put me in this condition, what he really wanted.

"Here you go, let's just eat. Don't fight at the dinner table... Just go to my office, Doc. We can talk there." Gilbert decided on the high note I made

"You're such a bitch."

"Yes I'm a bitch, you're satisfied."

Gilbert was still smiling and now laughing. James ignored my protest altogether. I look stupid! I've been crying in vain all this time, she's been so cruel to me.

"The fact that our area of operations has experienced a lot of significant expansion, the number of injuries has decreased dramatically, did you find a new method." James asked Gilbert. These guys don't care about my feelings. They changed the conversation in front of me as if what I felt all along was meaningless.

"Actually we are already 70% by the end of this month, yes we found an effective method, greatly saving resources and guaranteeing the safety of our people. We're putting a blood bait of wild animals in an area. Then putting the sounds, they gather like ants coming if we shoot them no matter what they focus on is food. We just found out they can be fed to animals, we catch stray dogs in cities or anything with hot blood. This method has been applied throughout Florida and throughout the US. Even the two smaller battalion teams moving in from the south made significant progress quickly. We are confident we can finish the whole of Florida, even the entire US much faster. No need until the end of the year in two months or less it is possible that we have a full green zone declaration and can fix the economy."

I just found out, this is really good news. I do hear they are making rapid progress, even though we now rarely accept casualties like the beginning of the operation.

"It turns out, it seems that the end of this war is in sight."

"Yes, maybe everyone can take a break for a few more months. Before a new assignment. Cities are clean, safe cities are growing. The economy will come back slowly. Important factories will start running again with government help. People will start working. We're going back home. That's what we all want."

A picture that Gilbert gave was very good, as if from just a dim light, we could see the sun had risen in the eastern horizon.

"That's very good news... The cure's been found, the green zone is total, everything's normal." And I might be able to go home soon.

"It shouldn't be until the end of the year."

"I don't think somehow maybe we can celebrate the end of the year with our families, these two years all the parts of the military that are still active, running non-stop errands with no possibility of getting back to their families in a safe city. I heard the Generals will grant repatriation permission for those who wish to return before being reassigned again. A quarter of the military force now allocates to building agriculture and activating industry."

"Very good."

The two of them were engaged in an exciting conversation together, leaving me a spectator. I decided to just leave there's no point here.
