THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 68's. Theranos 1

Returning to Montreal, after dragging myself through a heavy and boring Sunday it felt like a pleasant liberation.

Margarita and Sergie didn't want to retreat and be peaceful, but didn't even dare to compete with me. Asking me to surrender on their terms? That's not gonna happen.

Anna who saw my face again after a whole week of disappearing said welcome and came up with a schedule and a barrage of documents that I had to approve.

"Welcome Boss, good to see you're alive." He grimaced widely with his greeting.I glanced at him fiercely.

"If I don't live who's gonna pay your salary." And now he laughs before I start with the work I have to do.

"Our sales value has recovered 70% from last year, we have many new customers in recent months, our marketing team has worked well." Pretty good report at the beginning of the month. "And here's the data you want about Jackson Addams and Victor Conrad."

I read those data.

"They play more in the US than Canada."

"Yes, Addams and Conrad have been partners for a long time."

"They've got a new project that needs big money?"

"There's a report there, actually it's been running from four years ago, they launched a portable advanced lab that only needs two drops of blood to detect all diseases, and the investor capital they raise is increasing rapidly. Their last report almost raised 4.5 billion dollars (90 trillion Rupiah)."

"4.5 billion dollars? In seriously? That's amazing, this company is only 2 years old?"

"their CEO is Elizabeth Holmes, but you can see their list of directors whose pharmaceutical players include Addams and Conrad, and there's an all-star director whose contents are military and political."

I saw the report Anna showed me the director on the "all-star board", which consisted of

Henry Kissinger (formerly U. S. Secretary of State),

Sam Nunn (formerly U. S. Senator), Bill Frist (formerly U. S. Senators, senate leaders and cardiac surgeons),

Richard Kovacevich (formerly Wells Fargo Chairman and CEO) and Riley P. Bechtel (chairman of the board and previously CEO at Bechtel Group.

"Geez, how much money do you have to pay for this kind of director?"

"They have a lot of money to spend, you don't see a company whose initial value is only two million dollars grow to 4.5 billion dollars in just 4 years, their ads are now very massive on national television, board advertising and the internet. Even Elizabeth Holmes is often invited to talk shows, the company is now booming in Silicon Valley."

I was amazed by this amazing company, Anna showed me their ad, it was amazing, Theranos Technology, Elizabeth Holmes, 28 years old started her business despite dropping out of Stanford University, said, develop research with nanotechnology for this amazing tool. Two drops of blood to analyze all diseases. It's too sophisticated, almost unbelievable it could exist.

"Two drops of blood can detect all diseases? Can it be so? What does it mean to have a lab CPU unit in this device?"

"Hmm.they said they had some kind of nano technology, the analysis was sent to their computers, and then forwarded to the portable lab machines. The result they gave was only two hours." Anna explained in detail.

"Two hours?! All tests? Nanotechnology..."

"It's like it's what I see."

"Marthy..." One word I can say about all this.

"Yes it looks magical, but that's what happens. Hmmmm... But the truth is, I'm talking to the head of our research unit, Mr. Alan, he said the same thing about this, a breakthrough that has never existed, and more miraculously this was discovered by people who dropped out of college at the age of 19 years, early years. He said he couldn't believe this, there were a lot of certain tests that couldn't be found with just two drops of blood whatever nanotechnology he didn't believe in this breakthrough, he said this was impossible, variable tests to analyze many diseases are too many and complex. He said the test must be inaccurate. Even he'll bet with me."

"I'm more confident in what Alan said. But obviously the money this company is collecting is amazing." My head of Research is of course an expert, over fifty, he and his team found the infected medicine. If he says it's impossible, then I believe it's impossible.
