THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 75's. Jacob Russell

The investigation did lead to Jacob's confidant, Mark Humphrey, whom Kylie mentioned. From him all this money came.

All regulations are locked in and the security team is set up, spending will swell for this. I work around this by asking the regional police for help until the situation can be controlled.

The power of thousands? Do they dare to mess around if we set the rules.

"Sir, the tenant scalpers protest us withholding their money." Managers report the same thing at the same time.

"Did they dare make a scene?"

"Now not yet, but all of them protest while bringing in people who he said were their bodyguards and provoking our employees. What should we answer sir?"

"Just let them wait, tell them the center will make a refund arrangement but it hasn't been decided yet. When and how. Just tell them to wait without certainty. If they fight arrest and put them in jail for disturbing the public interest."

"We understand sir."

If those people dared to make a fuss they would put themselves in trouble.

And then I'll go up and negotiate the problem myself. Mark Humphrey's.

But that's later, I'll hang on to this matter for at least the next week. If he dares to make a fuss it will be easier for me to be able to strangle his neck.

"General Gillian." I had a freshly finished meal with my colleague at a hotel restaurant in DC when someone called me.

"What if I buy you a drink at the bar, do you have to go home soon." An offer I couldn't refuse because he had helped me get a lead on Mark Humphrey, I wanted to go home and call Eliza right away, some days he had to take care of Andrew in the hospital, their closeness makes me feel rivaled here. But if I refuse this, Kylie will be disappointed, anyway just accept the treat.

"Because we've met here. Why not." He smiled broadly now.

"You're so nice. I bought you okay."

"It's up to you."

"We go to the bar on the rooftop just okay. The view is good." Without further ado, he grabbed my arm. I let it go, just holding my arm, not a big thing.

"It's nice to meet you accidentally like this, I saw you in a restaurant with a colleague. My colleague came home earlier I purposely stayed longer for a chance to invite you to chat." This girl liked me, and without hesitation revealed it, she didn't seem to care if I said I already had a lover. Or maybe she knew from Rachelle how our relationship was not fully approved by Eliza's family.

"What's your problem with Russell? You've been investigating it." But he wasn't melancholy expecting blindly, he seemed to know I would be distracted if he stuck to me and was expecting too much.

"I've investigated the name you gave me, Mark Humphrey and he was involved, I've had a plan to deal with it. It's thanks to the information from you as well so I know who I'm dealing with, thanks for that."

"It seems like it's going to be a very difficult problem."

"I'll try to simplify it later."

Before long we arrived at a bar with a dazzling view of DC.

"I wasn't here long." His sight drifted sweeping across the glistening scenery of the lights in front of us.
