"Let's have dinner, they'll be waiting." Today I had dinner with my comrades in arms since this pandemic, James, Susan and D'Angelo, Noah, and of course - the others. We sat down at a long table with a simple meal, but felt grateful and could laugh about the simple things around us.
"We have a new partner today." James made an announcement. "Sadly there's no bar, we can't make them pay anything now." Andrew and I laughed.
"May we one day see wine again before our eyes. Maybe champagne will show up again before our lives end, ... At that time we might be able to celebrate today, the first person who was completely immune to the parasite was found. Maybe next year we can treat anyone who has this parasite. And the world is back to normal, hopefully this city can help a lot of people." Everyone at this table hopes so.
