Part 88's. Enemies
"Sir, it seems you're being watched." The bodyguard Anthony sent on the third day of work found something.
"really."
"We've seen one car that's been following you all day. Just by himself, obviously he was just asked to follow you."
"Ohh good, make sure you follow them back. If I could I'd like proof they report to whom. Don't let them realize you're following them back."
"Understand Sir."
There was no immediate threat to me. Other than that daring crash, there was no threat to me. I think in the near future someone will be sent to see me. Because I'm still holding their money.
"Sir, Mr. Tim Wallach wants to see you, he said about the Oklahoma lease issue." And it turned out to be true, someone came because it was hot.
"Schedule for the day after. Tell me in the meeting today." Obviously they have to be made difficult first.
"Understand Sir. And there's Miss Kylie here."
"Kylie?" This week I only called him once after he was out of the hospital. Ever since the incident she asked me if I was lying I didn't pick her up again. Now he's here, at work, really annoying, but I can't turn him down.
"All right, tell him to come in."
He soon arrived in front of me. It seemed to have recovered, the stitches were nowhere to be seen again. Or she wears a wig because her hair looks different. It's been three weeks since that incident.
"You're all right? Your wounds are no longer visible. You're not dizzy anymore?"
"Ohh it's a wig, the doctor said there shouldn't be anything to worry about anymore."
"Ohh that's good. Have you had lunch, want to have lunch together?" Since he's here and it's lunchtime, I'll take him to lunch.
"What's wrong, come on. There's a nice restaurant downstairs."
After we sat down, he started talking first.
"How's the case progressing." I told him what happened later. There have been developments although we have not been able to get significant evidence.
"Ohh you're still holding their money. You're not afraid they're trying to do something to you again."
"That's exactly what I'm waiting for."
"It seems you've prepared everything if you get hit again." Kylie grimaces. He doesn't seem to care much about catching the people who hit him.
"Of course I care, I know you'll take care of it, I trust you. Besides I can't accuse anyone so recklessly, do you want me to go and point my finger at Russel? Didn't that ruin your plan?"
"No, I didn't tell you to go point at him of course. What date has the CEO determination been set? It should be next month, right?
"Yes next month, I haven't asked Big Brother, I think it should be the end of the month."
"Did Adrian not ask who is the new shareholder who entered with a large enough amount?"
"I don't think he expected it because you went in with some investment company name..." We discussed some things that still had to be done before a voice made us look.
"You and this guy seem very familiar. What a good thing he is. Kylie, honey, did I hear you had an accident? You been good?" Adrian Russell and next to him is Mark Humphrey.
Meaning most likely Adrian knew about the accident that was said by Mark Humphrey, but did not expect Kylie to be a victim.
