THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 74's. The New Wave of Refugees

I opened the door. I found Andrew standing there.

"What happened to you? You hit?" He immediately held my reddened face. Even though the events of that night kept us close, I still wasn't used to it. I shuffled away from him.

"It's not a serious wound, it's just a bruise. Don't worry." I let him in. I don't want others to wonder what's going on with us.

"Just bruising?"

"It's just Andrew's bruise, nothing serious. James has confirmed it. The important thing is you're gonna drive that guy out of town, it can be done like it's not Mr. Mayor."

He saw me probably aware of why I was doing this.

"You're deliberately taking risks. You fished him?"

"No, he was the psycho who hit me first. You think I deliberately attacked him first. He slapped me and threatened Donna."

"Why didn't you just tell me before."

"Without proof there's no way I'm making calculations to other people, all need a reason for action. I'm fine, it's just a bruise, but hitting medics especially in the military authority system is clearly a grave offense to be followed. Without your intervention, Donna survived. I've calculated the risks. And you don't need intervention. Just run it according to protocol. I'm not asking you to treat me special." Now he sighed hearing all my words.

"Why do you have to take such a risky path." He may never feel on the side that has no strength to defend himself like a woman. "Don't do anything like that again. I'll make sure he gets out of here. If there's anything you can talk about for me, it's stupid."

I don't agree it was stupid. I just shut up.

"Jen..." I looked at him. "You heard me."

"I'm not stupid. Go, I'll take a break."

"I'm not saying you're stupid. Only you could be hurt worse than this. You don't have to do this. There are many wiser ways to solve it. No need until you're hurt."

"You knew that Donna when she came. His entire face and body were covered with bruises. He was threatened and threatened to threaten her again. You think Donna can hold on, her mentality has been falling for months under pressure. If not this way it won't be able to get rid of him quickly."

"I know you mean well, but we can find a more precise way without you having to be hit like this. Not that I mean saying all your actions are completely wrong. Don't get me wrong. If anything happens to you I feel the most guilty."

She held my hand without hesitation, turning my gaze to him.

"It has. Just painkillers." I also fell on him. Maybe he's just worried. "You're gonna throw him out, aren't you."

"I'll beat him up myself right now if you ask." I smiled a little.

"No, he was beaten up earlier. I just want him thrown out of town now. Don't bother yourself. Thank you." Thank you."

"Next time tell me... You can use me a little. Your girlfriend's the mayor of trouble so you gotta get hit, then what's the use of me." I grimaced.

"I've never told you you're my lover." Replace him who smiles.

"I consider myself your lover. So what am I supposed to do now?" Keep holding my hand while smiling. I saw his eyes. It's not that I doubt it, just I think ... "Maybe I don't know your story yet, but you don't have to go through this on your own, maybe you're used to it yourself, but now I'm there for you."

And those words remind me of Fred. My eyes are heating up. Is this a sign from him. I don't want to believe this right now. Notnot now.

Why now Fred, you're sending me to him. My tears just fell in front of Andrew.

"Why are you crying." I shook my head, couldn't say why. There's no way I'm saying he reminded Fred's pad.

"I'm not asking you to accept me now, I'm just asking you to trust me." Andrew's words made me wipe away my tears.

"Yes I know. Sorry, I guess I just had too much hormones today." I tried to smile. "I'm sorry. I worried you."

"Nothing, just next time don't do it okay."

"Yes, okay. Sorry again."

"You don't have to apologize. I'll take care of that bastard." I nodded and smiled at him.

"Thanks Andrew..."

"Leave you okay, you need to rest, tomorrow you want to work. Quickly heal. If you want to talk, you know where you can find me.

She left me without a hug or a kiss, I waved at her as I closed the door.
