"Florida's done, they'll soon declare the entire eastern part is already green zone." Two weeks later I got some good news. After television and radio the government said the central and western parts were already fully green zones two days ago.
"I think you'll be given the option of returning to base early or opting for a new assignment soon. Susan and D'Angelo were back two weeks ago. He said D'Angelo was partly released and still waiting for a new assignment."
"In fact, it seems that they are starting to reorganize the military deployment because now there are many safe areas. We still don't know when to return because just two days ago they actually finished the last zone. This place is pretty good. You know their finished beach area even choose a vacation there." I laugh.
"I also thought we were going to spend the last day visiting the beach in Florida. It looks like a lot of fun."
"I'll wait a little while after I finish the declaration, I'll ask Professor Hans if I can go back to El Paso."
"Well, I'm in a stable condition right now, my screen is still unfinished, I have to complete several batches of training that train medical personnel that will be spread throughout Texas later. Doctor Mom said she can still wait."
"Well then. I'll just wait a minute."
"Somebody teased you there." I changed the conversation.
"There's always been a lot of teasing about me, whether it's colleagues or patients. You know that." He laughed at the end of it, he wanted to make me jealous.
"Then get here fast." He laughed even more.
"When I'm tempted if I don't want to. You can't even tease me, Toothsie." He still calls me with that call I hate. The call cannot be changed.
"Behold you, remember I still have a lot of spies there."
I know he's not gonna fuck around, I just miss being able to scold him.
After Susan, many of my fellow military nurses I knew went back to El Paso. The atmosphere became crowded again with old friends. I think if I have to be a donor later they can help me a lot too.
The city was very crowded with the return of many soldiers in the following weeks and the day I was waiting for finally arrived.
"I can go home to El Paso." I finally heard those words.
"How are you going to go home."
"I most likely followed the restored train lines across America. The road still has many obstacles but the train has run entirely for military purposes and mobilization again. It may take at least 4 days to follow the whole path but I'll be there."
He's the only one in Florida who comes from an El Paso Texas regiment like me, so his return is hard, it's impossible to expect any help from Gilbert, it's just really for emergencies.
"Well, plan your trip carefully. I'm waiting for you here." Three days later he left Florida. There were some people who left with him but not as far as the path he had to go.
I'm waiting for her to worry about coming back. He sent a message on the sidelines of his trip where he, fortunately, said most of the route is still used by the military so that no one interferes with his trip. The journey was relatively safe, although he was kebat-kebit because sometimes had to stay at the station but on day 5 he finally managed to lead to the ultimate goal of El Paso.
I can't wait to get her smile in front of me. He returned to his house, even though it was occupied by refugees, there was a house keeper who also yellowed there The house seemed safe and clean. When he got to let him rest first, I waited for him at the hospital the next day.
"You're coming at last." She looks fine. I have rin*du memelu*knya.
"How are you."
"I miss you." Now he's smiling. I miss her, I want to hug her. We do not dare to be too expressive in a public room of course, the condition of many people sometimes they are still grieving, after all this is the workplace.
"I have to report for duty again, later we can talk a lot. I also need to check on your mother's progress."
"Yes go." While I have my own job. We split up to meet again later.
