THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 60's. The Hot Spring 4

The morning sun was on the horizon. We were woken up by the light.

The breakfast was ready, but simple as usual. The bustle began, with the three highest leaders in the city eating together, one battalion chief, the city chief, and the chief medical officer. The city will soon stand.

Indeed, when viewed from this height a beautiful city. In addition to the hot springs that make this city as a resort city, also the mountains which are national parks, hiking areas frequented by nature lovers. The air is also comfortable.

"You're going upstairs?"

"Not yet, Doctor James will speak. Once there's an order I'll walk. I think I'll help you guys here first. Your husband didn't eat breakfast?"

"Ohh he's been handling the troops early in the morning. They're already first I guess."

We were busy then. Clean up supplies, medicate ward treatments, while the doctors check themselves and clear the operating room, the equipment they need during surgery. There aren't many people here, everyone's emergency situation is working independently and trying to get things done to help people.

After lunchtime we started receiving patients, while the medical soldiers were now nurses in the care ward. They're intern nurses now. We're happy to have a lot of interns we can command even if the new intern also means chaos. Today was exhausting.

"How was your day." Andrew joined us at dinner.

"Ohh, the first day is pretty much a mess that's cleared up, but for the sake of this beautiful city, we'll do it."

"This is a beautiful city. May we keep it beautiful. Tomorrow are we going to start building a barrier in the east? The farmland will be expanded, we will begin to announce us in the list of safe cities. Above we have a farm."

"How many cities are safe in the United States?"

"Congratulations on your appointment as military mayor." She smiles.

"Still long, I haven't proven myself. There are still many tasks ahead. Glad you're here too." I looked at him, meaning he's happy I'm here? He wants me to be with him?

"You mean...?" She smiled a little.

"I'm glad you could help me. Maybe you feel like a lucky thing." I'm laughing a little.

"I'm lucky?"

"You fit in with this beautiful city. Just as beautiful." I grimaced, why did I feel she was seducing me.

"You've been reading poetry lately. Why do you like to say beautiful words. Is it possible that you contracted D'Angelo. She laughs.

"Maybe I learned a lot from him, I guess. Look at the two of them, the world is theirs now." I looked at Andrew pointing. They were eating and looking at each other. The world is like theirs.

"You're right, the world belongs to them. There's also such a thing now." Whereas I like most others was trying to accept the fact that we had lost someone precious.

"There is a rainbow after the rain, although there may be another storm. But not forever."

"You read mostly poetry." I laugh now and he smiles to himself.

The day in this city is still long, but some consider me to be lucky. I think that's a pretty good sign.
