THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 34's. A Gang Member

In the next three days the women and children were transferred with escorts to a refugee camp in a nearby town. The 17-year-old men lived in the camp and assisted the military personnel.

We are glad that we do not bear the burden of their safety anymore. The men are directly trained to use weapons, how to defend themselves and defend themselves from the infected. The death of Daisy and her daughter at least provided a change for the others.

We started to receive some wounded soldiers in these few days. Although most are limited to external injuries due to sprains or lack of caution most severe foot injuries that must be cast.

Andrew and his team are in charge of providing training to these men and sharing the duties with those who live here.

"Jen, there's a convoy of survivors coming. Some of them seem to be hurt..." James who led the team now directly charged into the triage. We only have eight nurses and four doctors here and are assisted by the medic soldiers.

We prepared ourselves, before long a group of men came. From the looks of it you can expect them to come from some kind of gang originally. Not only from the stocky look, it seems that the personal protective equipment they wear is also mastered.

The chairman entered by revealing who he was to the triage. He didn't seem to be injured, if only his hands were clad, he could still shake his waist, but there were two much thinner men who seemed to be exhausted behind him.

I went straight behind him with Noah. Just stand up seems to be a problem. His legs looked bandaged but were obviously dirty.

"Doctor, I came first. Can't I be treated by you." He's talking to me.

"Sit there, sir, we'll handle you later..." I grabbed the man and sat him on the emergency bed, seemingly grateful.

"Hey, he's my subordinate. I'm the boss." This guy never went to the hospital. I want to kick his pant*t out of this room. But me, Susan and Noah, Adam don't care. We went to each of our patients.

"Your feet?" His high body temperature was instantly palpable by me. "Since when? Noah, fever!" I worry about it directly. The shoes he used seemed to stick with his bandages. It's filthy! And a distinctive smell.

"I don't know any more time, I forgot maybe a week earlier it was injured and part of the vein was injured ..." I quickly cut his leg pants. His reddened blood vessels instantly made me set my guess. Gangrene wet!

"Hey Doc, when am I handled." The head of that gang now makes me lose my temper.

"Shut up and wait outside! You're not a child!" I snapped.

"This lady jal*ng doesn't know who's in charge?!" He called me a jal*ng\ girl, that big mouth needs to be slapped\, but I'll take care of it later.

But apparently there was Andrew and De Angelo there.

"You heard him say, wait outside."

"And who are you?"

"I'm your boss because this is a military camp. Out now..." Andrew was still wearing a low tone of voice because he realized this was the patient's room.

"We can solve outside of this subordinate's problems..." He dragged the man off the triage and eventually things calmed down and we were able to work to the fullest.

"Doctor James, we need surgery right away, ..." Noah told Doctor James, we saw that his lower leg had blackened, and the smell of his gangrene infection was unbearable.

"Adam, you're incharge." Two nurses pushed her into the operating room. While Noah and I move on to the next patient.

The man who heads the gang seems to be causing trouble here if Andrew can't discipline him.

I didn't like it right away.

My patients are done, two people have gangrene but one is not too severe, the other is just a physical external wound. The first one I handle seems to be going to need guillotine amputation¹ in the operating room.

The man went back in with a bruise on his face this time. Ahhh outside it seems something has happened.

"I'm sorry to the woman you said bi*ch was\, or I'm gonna throw her into infected outside the fence." DeAngelo, who seems to have had some fun, said the gang leader's man.

I folded my hands in front of my chest. Waiting for him to speak and having the pleasure of seeing him dare not look me in the eye at all.

"I'm sorry Mam." He calls me Mam! The good teaching of these elite soldiers seemed to instantly yield obedience.

But I didn't give him the pleasure to treat it. Noah intervened to wait for me to check it out.

"Woah, this big man will be painful for a few days. Your nose is broken?" Noah smiled slightly and sat down in front of him. "Jen, give me the nasal speculum." I took the equipment and gave it to her, not intending to be involved in helping her. I look down on leaders who do not value the lives of their members.

Nasal speculum

"Remember this, you said ***** to him or anyone else in this camp. I might be able to accidentally put gangrene bacteria in your broken nose... You'll see your face blacken and you die slowly. How it sounds, it's fun, isn't it..." Noah's getting nasty now. I grinned at his words.

"Just relax I'll be happy to help you accidentally Doc. Basta*d is indeed not to be pitied if he is still arrogant." DeAngelo stood behind him. He did not dare to speak anymore.

Noah straightened his broken nose back then. And it takes at least three weeks to fully recover for such a nose wound.

Several civilian patients entered later with mild complaints, while several shots were heard this afternoon. There were infected again it seemed that were trying to enter and break through the camp. This area is not safe. But patrols are now more frequent due to the additional manpower of the refugees.

I think this camp will be safer.
