Part 46's. The New Infected Refugee 1
“The news from a soldier says our food trailler was trapped and ambushed in Springdale, they lost one civilian, but they escaped.” James had some pretty scary news that I heard that afternoon. While this shelter looks more empty it is because many refugees are moving to agricultural areas.
“Trailer food? You mean the one Andrew brought?”
“Yes, he said they were stuck in the streets of Springdale city, they were to the Tyson Food Factory in Arkansas, probably about 3 hours drive from this camp. Springdale is a black zone, the city was a total evacuation.” I don't know where they're going, but it seems pretty worrying. May they safely get out of town.
“When did it happen?”
“Stop it, I just heard it.” Three hours drive, why they haven't arrived yet, is there another obstacle. I hope they're all okay. Especially Andrew, De Angelo they're both the ones I know well and Susan would be sad if anything happened to De Angelo.
“Hopefully they can pass..” James looked at me and smiled.
“They are special forces, there will be no problem with them. Yesterday they found the infected smart, who can still think, that's the best news I've heard lately . I think this is our path to healing, somehow the infected person managed to develop immunity to the parasite protein. Although it has not been fully successful because the habit is still changing but we know we can learn to trigger immunity soon now against this mutation parasite.”
“Someone who is immune..”.
“Yes they caught him, already sent directly to CDC Center.”
“Observations, triage, prepare to receive victims!” Our communications radio to the main operations command rang, while I heard at the end of the mission helicopter in the air.
“About six soldiers broke bones as they jumped into the rugged terrain avoiding the infected.” raid
“Good.” I shut down the radio communications, along with James preparing for the drugs and supplies.
“Dr. Mike, guys there's a broken bone, on the way.” I shouted to the orthopedist who was on our team.
“I'm ready.” He and the others prepared to be triageed, preparing everything but before that!
“Doctors there are new refugees, they seem to be less good.” Each of the doctors and nurses observed eight patients who came to us. They were all adult katagori, probably two families with the youngest aged 16 and the oldest aged 60.
“You're all hot and headache..” Thermometers show their temperature to 39. Their eyes are reddened. While they look very pale..”.You bitten...? Have pain before.”
“No. We heard on this radio the area is safe there is a shelter here, we are from near the Springdale area. The refugee zone near Springdale is very full, so some of us are thinking of looking for a more spacious shelter. I think it's just the effects of stress. Now we found a new shelter in a few days we should improve. ” OneThey are from Springdale.
“We need to do a test,..” James decides. He must have suspected that somehow they had been contaminated with the parasite from food or drink containing the parasite, and even drinking it recklessly could now be life-threatening. Because it's possible that the surface water out there has been contaminated with parasites. Although there was indeed no bite, the soldiers must have done a thorough physical examination out there.
“Hot, headache, reddened eyes? That's what you all found?” Noah joined us in the corner of our discussion.
