THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 77's. Little Rock 4's

"Keep breaking! The back get rid of it!" The radio of the mission leader to annihilate the infected who were chasing us behind were now pursuing eagerly as a source of food. I don't know how many hundred meters we have to break through this.

"In front we're too thick, move lanes." Our leading driver was not sure if he could cross the road. "Sir? There is a way to the top, maybe we can pass the alternative that used to be back on track?" Demand for lane moving by the driver who now controls our truck.

"Confirm, move to an alternative, stop all gun contact." The team leader seemed to notice the sound of our gunfire getting to many places.

Our truck was blocked by a slippery climb that could not be passed.

"Down fast, push!" All men down now, we're racing with infected who's chasing our direction."

"1..2..3!Push it!" After 2 x try they could free the truck wheels, infected it already live 30 meters away from us. Everyone climbed up quickly, while we avoided the sound of guns.

"Hurry up!" The last person must run, jump and ride depending on the truck that has started to walk and is helped by others to ride. No one wants to be the target of infected food here.

"We managed to make the distance seem." I'm a little relieved now.

"I hope there's nothing ahead." Aaron made his own prayer.

We managed to get away about 2.5km I guess before there was another one in front of us that had to be hit, but this time everyone was not shooting, not even the machine gun on top of the Humvee was shooting. The road turned to a settlement, many abandoned houses.

This area is a black zone, just like the road we were unlucky for passing through infected concentration. But now it seems that in these fifteen minutes there was nothing we hit even though it was seen some infected who were on the road that we passed.

No one's talking. We were all tense with the trip through this black zone. It seems we are heading again towards the main line.

"There's a snag ahead. We're breached! Truck ahead!"

"Damn! More in front! We can't get through!" God, all roads can't be crossed. "Find another path." Hearing them talk on the radio made us feel like we had no choice.

"We have to take another path." I don't know how many are ahead. Until we can't break through.

"Why didn't they pick us up with a heli?"

"Fuel is the main problem now. According to the plan, you'll be flown on a small single-engine plane to Atlanta. They're really frugally now."

"It turns out so."

We turned and took another road again and now came to a smaller street. The cobblestone streets look creepy, the trees look tighter. It felt like we were entering a more bleak world.

"We'll take the road in and out to Lonsdale to get back to the main line." The news on our radio says where we're headed.

I don't know where it is, obviously the road we're taking is smaller now, sometimes there's no asphalt at all, rather like the road to the hunting cabin. The road is only hardened with pebbles, but in this forest road there must be some private property, I saw a pointer to the shooting range. And some of the turns seem to be to some kind of resting villa or resident house but the distance is clearly far from each other, maybe also this building is empty and not occupied.

"It seems that on the main road a lot infected because a lot of people are stuck there." A soldier spoke out to ease tensions while our vehicle kept running.

"You're right. But we have not yet approached the city, if the city of Little Rock is still partly still a black zone, operating and sheltered only a small part of the city. We're still a long way from reaching the safe area, the return may also be difficult." He's right there's still a way home. But with this experience we will not penetrate the road earlier, we should not be trapped thrilling things like earlier.

"But I heard there's a pick-up squad. Maybe it's not that hard to get through when we get to the edge of town."
