"Kylie's right you were run over by Mark's man?" Jacob asked Kylie himself.
"That's what the police said, the person who was told to, the car that hit us was at the police station. All the evidence says so. But I don't know if it has anything to do with Adrian or not, but logically we don't think Mark can go that far on his own even if he has a business problem with Gillian, obviously we're accusing him of Adrian hating Gillian because she's my girlfriend."
"so." He looked at Adrian, sighed, seemingly thinking hard what he should do. "I have to investigate this, Mark is my guy, but he I believe manages his business and all this time he's been successful, we'll talk again later, Mr. Gillian, after I hear from both sides. Now I can't decide what to say." His brother is a man who can think carefully. And it seems Adrian himself is in his family is the scapegoat who is always to blame.
"looks fair. Ask your own sister. I hope we have a solution. If it wasn't like Mark's fugitive now, and I pocketed roughly 10 million, obviously I wouldn't have returned the money for a failed assassination attempt."
"Thank you for your understanding. What are you doing here, you got a stake in this company? Adrian said he was going to replace the CEO of the company with our guy, I thought Kylie and Adrian were a couple, My mom said you two should get married soon?"
"Oh, there won't be any change today and there won't be any change of Jacob. There's my brother still leading the company." Kylie answered. "And I had no intention of marrying Adrian, we were no match at all, I told you from the beginning."
"So I came here in vain. You're saying you've secured 60% support for the CEO change?" Jacob stared intently at Adrian.
"This was, unexpectedly, the last time they changed their minds." Adrian could not answer that he was defeated. He could only stutter answering his brother.
And his sister could only snort in annoyance.
"Then there's no point in me being here. I'll just go now." Jacob is now gone, perhaps upset because he has been humiliated by his brother, ranging from Mark's problem to the CEO who failed to be replaced.
"You are a fucking asshole." That's all he can say now.
"You're right I'm a fucking asshole." He also left now in a fit of annoyance. It's run out of ways to deal with us I guess.
The meeting went according to our expectations. The change of CEO plan was cancelled due to lack of support from shareholders and Adrian had to accept that fact.
"You think his brother will take over the collision." Kylie asked me.
"I think he should take over. Mark has some business he's in. I'm not going to give them back their money in exchange for the annual pay that the guy's in jail for."
"You're right, he tried to kill you. 10 million should be less to pay for everything he did to you."
"We'll see later. At least now the person who could be in charge of solving the problem had already appeared."
Going here was not in vain for me. One problem is clear. Jacob did not know the matter and seemed to dislike what Adrian was making. I'll get a good deal after this.
