The weekend that I'm really looking forward to, I'm going to see her again, spend some time alone with the person I like.
I was afraid my expectations were too high. While this might be for him just a distraction. Although it's not his fault either, he can't leave his career, neither can I. Whether he thinks I'm just a distraction here, that thought alone makes me feel hurt.
I feel guilty about myself. Sending myself to this uncertainty and rollercoaster. I knew I would cry at the end of the story. But missing him is too tempting. I want to meet him.
"You're having lunch with Albert tomorrow? You want me to come with you? What are you guys gonna talk about?" I strapped him in with questions when I called him that night.
"I missed you... It's a long time tomorrow." He did not answer my question, instead let out sweet words that made me smile. "May I go to your apartment."
"There's Monica here today, that would be embarrassing." I'm looking for an excuse.
"Come here."
"Tomorrow, I'm tired. Okay." Okay." This feeling, I want to go there but have to say otherwise. I don't know I think I should hold back from not getting too drunk with this feeling.
"All right, it's up to you."
"What do you want to talk to Albert about."
"Hmm.. business, retail investment is kind of a 7eleven store business, but we use the concept more to the community can participate, rent a kiosk or small lot to drive the economy. I brought the actual bid proposal, but haven't brought his team. This is just an early conversation.
"Ohh, a retail outlet is like a grocery store but there's a rental lot of sales."
"The government will subsidize small businesses like this. We need to move all the wheels of the economy. It will be a place where local people sell their products as well. We'll put personal capital in there too."
"Hmm. I'm sure you're serious if you government is directly involved."
"Talk to Albert later, he's better at judging. He's got his team, too." This kind of strategic decision is going to be taken, brother, I'm not interfering. I'll only interfere if there's a problem.
"If you have a lot of business in the U. S., maybe you could consider opening an office in Washington."
"Hmm.. maybe." If we can open an office there, maybe our relationship is smoother. Maybe it could happen, was he expecting it. But on the other hand, who helped Albert here in the relationship with our colleagues here. "It still has to go through a long conversation."
He still knows the truth of my words. I couldn't have decided that in a short time.
"Mashkov's bothering you again."
"No, I don't think maybe he knows he's not gonna make it. Monica won't respond to it."
"Mashkov might give up but not necessarily with the others. Many are after your survivors. Maybe not the Mashkov group but another group."
"Maybe there's something desperate for money. We obviously have our own program. We've created a surveillance program for them. After all they're putting their lives in danger once again with a lab outside the government."
"Yes that's right." He's quiet for a second. "You really don't want to come here?" I'm laughing a little.
"No, we'll meet tomorrow okay. I'm gonna go to bed fast, it's tiring today."
"alright. I'll see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow."
