THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 43's. Springdale to Henryetta 1

They ran 500 yards to the back of a large number, infected-infected this fast, whether they were smart like the one they caught or they were well-nourished. Andrew and his team went into hiding and observed them for a while, looking at their empty gaze and banging on the door haphazardly, they turned out to be just a type of well-nourished.

“They just type enough to eat it turns out.” De Angelo completed his observation.

“You're right.” Andrew agreed quickly. “OK don't waste your ammo. Shoot their heads one by one.” Andrew opened fire into the air from the M4 assault rifle that provoked their attention. And those infected were moving towards the sound. The voice of the senapa sahut said and infected-infected who were not humans were scattered.

“Alan still no one coming?” Andrew asked his eyes up there.

“No,..”

“Let's re-clean our load then.”

They began work preparing the loading of five traillers along the forty feet. Shortly afterwards helicopters from the central CDC headquarters came. Almost the afternoon all the cargo they could finish. Several tens of infected appear in a small entourage and thanks to Alan's observations can all be cleared up with his Winchester Magnum sniper riffles without endangering the team.

“We rest here tonight, tomorrow we start walking.Too dangerous to walk in the dark. Lock again warehouse .”

Today passed safely, no one injured everything. Tonight they will make sure all of them are sheltered in a safe building, ready to head back to Henryetta the next morning.

Early in the morning Andrew and his team woke up. The sun was setting, everyone was preparing themselves. Vehicles are rechecked, spare tanks of gasoline are brought. The team will be split into 5 trailer cars that will run about 4 hours drive back to the base shelter if nothing gets in their way. What was feared was that the streets were blocked in front and there were too many infected attacks so they were surrounded.

Once again this city is a dangerous city, there are more than 10,000 people missing. They arrived by heli, nothing could be seen too but this dead city street might have hidden dangers in every corner.

The drivers are all civilian, while Andrew's trailer leads the way.  Andrew and De Angelo were in front while the rest of the team was connected to the radio.

“If there are hundreds of threats we will hit them. Unless we're surrounded. The speed will be at 50-60 miles per hour. The road in downtown Springdale is most alarming we can't know if there's an obstacle or not. And that's why we will go directly to highway.”

“Siap.”

They started convoys out of the factory complex, the streets of St. Thomson Street is completely invisible to life, some infected seem to walk slowly and try to chase something that moves, but they don't even seem to have the energy to catch up. Alan took his shotgun aiming at them to end the suffering of that soulless body, at least that's what everyone thinks about infected, once you're infected, your brain is damaged by the parasite and you're as good as dead. Some cars with open doors were left alone but fortunately on the side of the road so as not to get in the way, they decided to take Highway 412 to avoid the city center.

The Highway will pass through Chereooke County, through Siloam Spring and they will enter Highway 69 at Choateau and exit at Checoatah not far from the US 40 Henryetta Main Line. They did not take the southern path that passes through more densely populated urban areas
