Jayden, Emil, Tiger, and doctor Vanessa are getting ready for their departure. The aircraft used this time was a little different. They don't need a big cabin. They need a small plane that can go faster. With this aircraft, the crash site can be reached within two hours.
The plane did not have a large cabin like the plane Alex used. There are no couches, pantries, let alone a bedroom. There was only an upright seat plated with imitation leather. Also can not load a car in it, only one motor only. The trunk is enough to hold medicines and all the equipment they need.
From the outside, the plane is the same. The body is predominantly white with a slight green accent on the bottom. His head was tapered, his wings rather thick, there was a pair of propellers on each top of his wings, and four booster rockets on the back.
The plane was in snow without any problems. As usual, Tiger was in the cockpit. He made sure that their flight would be adorned with some shocks, so he urged everyone to stay in their seats while wearing seat belts.
This aircraft cabin is far from luxurious although it can still be in the comfortable category. The seats are arranged face-to-face on both walls of the plane. Each chair has armrests and a small table that can be removed from it.
Along the way, Vanessa's doctor reads the article in the form of a hologram sheet. Next to him, Emil listened to the song while fiddling with the series of small machines in front of him. Meanwhile, Jayden across from them read the mission caption on the tablet. Occasionally, he frowned, threw a glance, checked the flipad before returning again to the tablet.
Doctor Vanessa broke the silence. “You're restless. There's a problem, Jayden.”
Jayden avoided the doctor's gaze. “Not a big thing. Only, Alex.”
“You said you didn't want to interrupt the show with friends. You didn't call her. Instead, you've sent a message related to our mission. What's wrong with that?.”
“Actually, he has not read my message,” replied Jayden.
“You're worried that he might come to base and get nobody there? Or, is there something else? Christmas present you prepared for her, maybe?”
“Not that. He'll love the prize. Really like. I've also wrapped it in a red box as you suggested, doc.” Jayden smiled amusedly. “It's not about the gift. I just feel a little silly. Special Force Zetta Sonic goes on a mission without Zetta Sonic.”
Doctor Vanessa nodded. “If you say so, it does feel a little silly.” As if he could read Jayden's mind, he continued, “You're afraid that Alex will feel abandoned?”
Jayden sighed, flexing his shoulders, pulling himself to lean. “He's been with us lately. He spends more time with us than he does at home. It is not impossible if the total time is more than the time he spent with his parents. I feel cheating. Go without her.”
“If I hear from Tiger, you fight to give it a vacation.”
“Yes, she deserves it.”
“Then don't regret what you did. You believe that's best for him, ‘kan?” Doctor Vanessa makes a smile. His face calmed Jayden down. “You're like real sisters. I'm glad to see it.”
Somehow, but Jayden's unrest vanished because of it.
After a two-hour, five-minute journey, the plane finally reached the crash site. The snow storm is gone. Tiger landed the plane on a fairly sloping field. As far as their eyes could see, there were only snow-covered pine trees, snow-covered rocks, and snow-covered streets. Everything is covered in snow.
They must wear a plated coat with a hat because the weather is not friendly. Especially wind. The snow itself was already piled up quite thickly, almost as thick as an adult's knee.
“Where is the plane?” Emil yelled a bit so Jayden could hear.
“There.” Jayden pointed in one direction that also designated the flipad. “There are in the valley.” Jayden has been getting the exact location for as long as they're on the plane.
The group crossed the ramps straight towards the valley. They can see the plane from there. It no longer resembles a plane. The once-steaming fire had vanished by the snow, leaving behind scorched stains and a pungent smell. Actually, their journey is not so far away. However, due to the heavy snow and up and down terrain, the journey was difficult. The pine trees around are more distracting than helpful.
Jayden was the first to reach the wreckage. His breath emitted white smoke as he spoke. “I've guessed. The plane was not well taken care of. Nadira has to make his technique responsible.”
Emil went to his side. The young man was still panting. More behind the scenes makes you more vulnerable on the pitch.
“Exhausted?” Jayden grunting tickled.
Emil nodded. “One minute. After that.. I'll find the payload.”.
“You mean, the pilot?” sahut Jayden's.
This time, Emil nodded. “No. I don't want to. Searching bodies. Here.”
Jayden was about to interrupt but the sight in front of him made him unable to blink. A brownish-yellow girl was staring at him sharply from the top of the wreckage of the plane that was still intact. His big green eyes were all wolves. Her full lips were brownish red as the blood was drying. Her dark brown curly hair was being tainted by snowflakes.
Finding Jayden flabbergasted, Emil turned his head in the same direction.
“Yo!” When the girl waved her hand, the two young men simultaneously shouted. Their reaction made this girl instantly scream. “What took you so long, huh!? How long do you think I've been waiting for reinforcements here? Basic slow! What is it, ICPA central works!?”
That answer made Emil and Jayden exchange glances.
Emil was the first to dare to voice his thoughts. “Wait! Are you Smith? Pilot of this plane? You're not dead?”
The girl squinted her eyes. He jumped off the plane, landed hard in front of Jayden, then crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Do I look dead to you? I'm lucky thanks to ICPA technology. So, don't make me die from the inaction of ICPA rescue teams like you.”
“Wow, quiet miss!” Jayden mediates both. “We set off as soon as we got a direct order from Nadira. There is absolutely no intention of leaving you alone in the middle of nowhere like this.”
“Nadira? You get direct orders from Nadira, the supreme leader of this continent? Don't tell me you're Special Force Zetta Sonic!”
Jayden couldn't help but smile. He was happy to see the reaction of the girl in front of him. At least the girl knew that only this Special Force was used to getting orders directly from Nadira. “Sorry that we are a little different from your shadow, agent..”.
“Kara,”. “Kara Smith's. I'm a big fan of Zetta Sonic.” His eyes widened, his smile spread wide, his face closing in on Jayden. “So, Nadira sent Zetta Sonic to save me? Where is he? Are you Zetta Sonic?”
Jayden mumbled softly. “She's not here.”
Kara pulled herself up, narrowed her eyes again. “You want to say you guys are Special Force Zetta Sonic without Zetta Sonic?”
“Kore or less.”
“Oh, looks like I'm stuck with the braggart.” Kara sighed while rolling her eyeballs. “Now help me move these things before they lure the bears to come.”
The rebuttal Jayden prepared vanished when he heard the name of the animal called. Once again, Jayden and Emil exchanged glances. “Best? What exactly did he bring on this plane?”
