The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Inside

Their plane finally found the freighter. The waves are not so high. Several crew members were seen pacing back and forth on the deck. Each of them carried a rifle or at least a large dagger. Some are chatting with each other, some are smoking, some are enjoying endless stretches of ocean. At the very least, the sight was more interesting than the passageway of the ship.

Tiger brought his plane closer without any difficulty. Basically, this aircraft is equipped with technology so that it cannot be caught on radar. Coupled with stealth mode, their planes were like ghosts. Just like the Zetta Sonic, the naked eye cannot detect its presence.

“Solve this within one hour. We're waiting for you here” Jayden passed the laser gun. One on Alex, one on Gavin.

Their planes were low to parallels with the freighter. Now they are at the meeting point. The meeting point they were referring to was on the left side of the ship. There's empty space there. Tiger has brought their plane parallel to the ship. To minimize contact with the opponent, Gavin and Alex will infiltrate through there. There are rows of containers that are slightly indented out so the perfect protector.

Actually, Alex doesn't need it. He could activate stealth mode instantly. However, given its short active duration, Alex chose to save it.

After lowering the two, the plane went back up high. Just like Alex's combat uniform, even stealth mode can't last long.

The two agents are now tracing the row of containers. Sometimes you have to hide so you don't get seen. They were assisted by Jayden who was watching from the plane. This time, the drone will not be with them. The wind is too strong. The drone sank instead of helping.

Gavin leads the way. He's more experienced at that sort of thing. His hand signals when to stop, when to move. Alex watched him closely. It's a new lesson as well as a direct practice. Gavin braced himself into the container while watching the stairs leading to the lower deck. As soon as there's no one left, he's hanging out with Alex.

A grey hallway greeted them there. They walked straight, passing through the engine room, hiding among the large pipes. There, the air feels stuffy. The temperature is quite high, so is the humidity. Sometimes there is smoke. They form a thin fog. The smell of iron feels sharp.

Alex doesn't like being there. Not just in the engine room. He doesn't like being on that boat. He had been on a boat and enjoyed it. But, it's a yacht while it's just a freighter. Alex doesn't like the interior, the shocks, and especially the smell. His nose repeatedly protested. Alex was silent. One of the advantages of wearing a helmet is that no one can read how you react at that time.

They moved straight until they found another passageway. This hallway is white with a gray floor. Paint part of the walls peeling. Some of his protective bolts came off as well rusting. The smell is no better there. Still stuffy even though it's cooler.

This hallway has rows of doors on the right and left sides. All are closed except one. At that door, they could see two crew members playing cards.

“Let me,” Gavin said.

Alex doesn't understand what that means. He waited outside while Gavin casually breezed in. The two people inside looked at him confusedly. The next second, they took the weapons. But Gavin is faster. He twirled the first person's hand, dropping it on the table. By the time the second man was about to pull a rifle, Gavin had already placed a knife around his neck. Alex nodded in disbelief. As Tiger and Jayden said, he's a good agent.

“Sorry gentlemen, my time is not much. Please tell me where the girls are.” Gavin lowered his voice, a threat.

It didn't take long, people pointed ahead. “Straightly.”

“How many people?”

“I don't know.” The person hurriedly added as Gavin pressed his knife. “I really don't know. I know there are many. Maybe ten or more. They take turns every two hours. That's all I know.”

“Thank you.”

Gavin turned his knife, moving his sharp side away from the crew member's neck. As a reward, Gavin gives a hard fist to the jaw. His opponent fainted on the floor. While the other person was knocked unconscious with a hard blow to the neck.

Alex slit. He wasn't sure he could act just as clean. Even so, there was not the slightest intention for him to praise Gavin. “We already know that there are eight guards rotating every two hours,” Alex said following Gavin who is still in the room.

“What do you want to make sure?” Alex says. “No surveillance cameras here.”

“I know. Nor is there a crew hanging around outside.”

“Too quiet?” guess Alex.

“Of course. Many things in the field are different from theory. There are many things that can happen outside of plan. Like what happened at the town hall. No offense, but you still need to learn a lot to become a real agent.”

“Wear instinct, you mean?” Alex swallows all his refutation, replacing it with another guess. He still wants to know what Gavin's mind is.

“Not just instinct. A bunch. Those people are still carrying out their plans with this ship. They also did not change the guard even though their data was clearly leaked.” Gavin shrugged his shoulders. “They seem very confident to be able to cope with this.”

“I told you that the robot is here.”

“You understand, right? We're like walking straight in a trap.”

“Indeed we have a choice? You also want to save-”

“Of course!” sahut Gavin's. “But, there is a difference between reckless and brave. The room they were in had only one entrance and only one exit. That is, inevitably, we will definitely meet the guards. The room itself was like a prison. Fighting there will not be profitable for us.”

“Kita?” Alex grunts amusedly. “You won't fight Gavin.”

“Hey, even if not Zetta Sonic, I can fight better than you.”

Alex chuckles at hearing it. “Listen, Gavin. You yourself said there was a difference between reckless and brave. In front of us is a big trap. They are anticipating the arrival of the Zetta Sonic. They wouldn't have thought that I wasn't alone.”

“Wait, what do you mean?”

“Simple, lured them all out. I'll give as many people as I can. Your job is to save those girls.”

“It's reckless. If the blue robot is out-”

“Just there is our advantage.”

Gavin crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Robot is hard to deal with. How can you say it's our advantage?”

“Dare to bet, when the robot comes out, the guards will run away. The robot can only recognize its target. He can't tell which friends, which opponents. Precisely if the robot comes out, the situation is easier.”

For a moment, Gavin was silent. Alex may be just a rookie agent, but he has potential. Unknowingly, he smiled. “Alright, you're the boss. My advice is only one. Do not fight in the room. There are innocent people there.”
