His hands clenched involuntarily. Sometimes he gets upset because he can't do something when he can. Alex realized how his hands were starting to tremble. He gasped when he realized. At that moment, his hands stopped trembling. Shaking his head, he threw away all the uncomfortable feelings within him.
Alex hurriedly puts on a tie and blazer then hurls out with Willy. They went back to class together.
“What's next lesson, huh? Biology, right?” Willy opened the conversation.
“Yes. Wh why? No tasks or quizzes, ‘kan?”
“Not there, really. Even if there is an impromptu quiz, you can also always get a high value, right.” Willy glanced at Alex who was still upset at himself. “Hei, Al. Just my feeling or your face is a little pale, huh?”
“Masa? Just your feelings, huh. I feel fine, kok.”
“Do not faint because of the fist earlier, yes!”
“Internally!” Alex can still laugh behind his lies. He started to feel bad. His heart was pounding, his body was feeling weak, his hands were starting to tremble again. If this was because of Dragon Blood, then he was in trouble.
In the next lesson, Alex could not concentrate at all. Her body feels so unhinged. He tried to contact Jayden, but there was no reply. Finally, he decided to go home first. As soon as lesson time is over, Alex tells Willy that he has additional courses. Without waiting for further questions, Alex squandered out.
Wood Peak School did not have strict guard like other schools. Given that they accept children of famous people who have a tight schedule, they free their students in and out. Alex could reach the gate easily. The pick-up is waiting.
Preston's inside. She got a message from her employer that she was not feeling well. After meeting with Mrs. Bellsey, Preston decided to come and pick up her employer. Alex's face made his eyebrows instantly intertwined.
“I think we better go to the hospital.” Preston didn't talk to him. He patted the driver on the shoulder and the car went straight on.
Alex has no power to deny or lie. His eyelids are heavy. He doesn't know what happens next. Will he get to the hospital, will he get home, will he wake up on a mattress in a capsule with a binder, or will he wake up.
The darkness slowly disappeared. Alex did not recognize the room was all white and filled with antiseptic aroma. Definitely not the generator room or any other part of the ICPA headquarters. The room was like a hospital room with a slight awkwardness.
He saw the doctor Vanessa smiling gently at him. The doctor wasn't wearing the doctor's white coat, just a brown cardigan. He was carrying a tablet PC and was taking notes there. “Hai, Alex. Long time no see.”
“Doctor Vanessa? What happened?”
“You passed out in your own car.”
Alex held his head. He said he was just sleeping, not fainting. It seemed like Preston acted quickly and directly took him there. “At least, I didn't faint at school,” he whispered softly.
“There's something going on at school today? Something that's making you depressed?”
Alex shakes. “No. Just regular sports lessons.” Alex had no intention of telling me what happened at the time of the lesson. The boxing ring and all those tournaments better not get to doctor Vanessa's ear.
“How do you feel?”
“Any.” He couldn't find a more appropriate word to explain his feelings.
“Pusing?”
“Yes. My head feels heavy. A little dizzy too. My body's limp.”
“Anemia?” Alex repeated the foreign word. It's not foreign because he doesn't know what it means but because he doesn't even know he has anemia. It seems Alex is more accepting of the reason that he fainted because of Dragon Blood. “What really happened to me, doctor?”
“I wish I could answer it. So far, I can only say that it's one of the side effects of Dragon Blood in you. You still have many phases to go through until your body can truly accept the existence of that foreign body.”
“How long?”
“I hope I can answer that too, Alex. It depends on your physical and mental state. The more stable your emotions are, the faster you can master them.”
“Intinya, I will faint more often? It was very ... very cool!” Alex sighs. This knowledge is not something that makes him relieved just restless. The energy indicator in Zet-Arm doesn't help either. The energy capacity in his body and the capacity of his body to get used to were two different things.
“We will help you through these times.” Doctor Vanessa approached, grabbed Alex's right hand and rubbed it gently. “You will be fine.”
Alex could feel his forehead creasing. It is easy for others to talk. They had no Dragon Blood in them. Alex hasn't recognized himself since the liquid accidentally entered his body. If it wants to be prosecuted, it is also his fault until Dragon Blood spills over him.
Alex looked at Vanessa's doctor. “Am I going to die, doc?”
[No! So stop thinking too melancholy!]
Alex gasps. The voice came from Zet-Arm. Spooky voice of their female leader, Nadira.
[You made us anxious by suddenly passing out like that. Keep condition! In your body flows precious, painstakingly made fluids. Don't waste tax money, son!]
Among everyone, listening to Nadira's nagging at a time like this was clearly the worst. Alex doesn't want to hear too much. Alex sighed in annoyance, throwing away his gaze when he could not see Nadira there, and vice versa.
Doctor Vanessa looked back at him as she spoke without a sound. Alex could at least catch a sentence from the motion of his lips. “Do not enter into the heart.”
Nadira and doctor Vanessa are like two very different camps. Alex is not on one of them. He pulled his hand from the doctor and decided to respond to Nadira's words. “If you can choose, I also do not want to faint. I want a normal life.” Alex hastily added. “Life of secret agents. But, that's normal.”
Doctor Vanessa grunts amusedly. It made Alex feel her face flushed with embarrassment. There is nothing normal in the life of a secret agent.
[Good. I have a mission for you. This mission is called training.]
“You want me to practice with the theory Jayden sent me? It was ineffective” Alex accidentally showed that he was just reading while then everything without ever practicing his real practice. “Honestly, I thought you guys forgot about me. I was unemployed for a week. More.”
[Exactly. Therefore, starting tomorrow night, you will hunt. On the outskirts of town, there is an abandoned building. ICPA staff have already installed camouflage around the building, so no one will know that Zetta Sonic is training there.”
“What kind of training?”
[Before, tell me. You're just afraid of bees, ‘kan?]
“Neg. I just avoided them.”
[Good. At least you won't die in that training.]
Alex glanced at the same doctor Vanessa gawking like her. “Is this something I need to worry about, doc?”
