It's obviously not going to end easily, but the matter of ending well is another. Unbeknownst to Alex, Jayden is not alone in his room.
“You obviously know how to enter elegant, Gavin,” Jayden told another man in the room.
“I didn't meet you.”
“Just go to the main topic. Whatdoyouwant? Nope. Bila kuralat. What did Mark Hill want to send you here? You weren't sent to stop Kloster. If you want, ICPA Regis can do it easily in their region.” Jayden put the tablet PC into his lap and folded his hands together in front of his chest. “Or I overestimated you guys too high?”
Gavin grunts. It is right on one side and wrong on the other. He was away from the bed, leaning against a wall without any intention of getting close. Her clothes had already been replaced with a loose-gray jumper and cloth pants. His appearance is more like a typical hacker who is staying up late than an experienced agent.
Jayden continued. “You guys let that happen continuously. There are many rumors in the ICPA. Kloster is never finished not because you are incapable but because you do not want to. The most popular theory says Kloster is a.” issue switcher
“As far as I know, the ICPA is not affiliated with the killer. They're criminals, we're law enforcement.”
“So, what's your purpose here? I think Mark Hill was too kind-hearted to send just one of his members to subdue that group of assassins. Help Alex?” Jayden raised his eyebrows. “I wouldn't be surprised if you met Mark Hill in person after the incident here some time ago.”
“He did call me personally. He knows I'm carrying a gun without permission. I got my punishment. That's all, nothing more. We're not talking about Alex at all. And, I thought..” Gavin stopped. Instead, he circulated his gaze around the darkened room. The wide window on the right side of the room was deliberately closed to block anything from outside looking inside even if they were on the top floor.
“Speaking!” pinta Jayden, look forward.
Gavin once again circulated his gaze. This time to the entrance of the room. The room was large enough to accommodate a sofa and a bed, also had enough gaps for a wiretap to fit in.
As if he could understand Gavin's thoughts, Jayden said. “Speak,” he said softer. “This place is my private cave. Surveillance cameras, eavesdroppers, all under my control.”
“It would make more sense if Mark knew Alex.”'s identity
“Why?”
“Why?” Gavin repeats Jayden's question. “You faked all of his activities over the past few months. What kind of parents are not aware of the strangeness of their children except that he—”
“Too busy taking care of other continents,” Jayden said. “All the disguises Nadira gives are very good. Does everything make sense? Hugely. Invite suspicion? Maybe little. Alex seems to be busy? Not too. He has a myriad of activities ranging from tutoring to parties to represent his parents. If anyone smells Alex weird, I'm sure it's his housemaid not his parents.”
“Alright, maybe he's not that familiar with his parents.” Gavin was silent again.
Although unable to see the face of his interlocutor clearly, Jayden caught his doubts. “Do you think it's better if Mark finds out about Alex?”
Gavin nodded without speaking.
“But, you didn't tell him,” Jayden continued. “What's your talking point?”
“I think Mark wants Kloster to get Zetta Sonic.”
Gavin's reply made Jayden spontaneously take a deep breath. According to his analysis, he knew it could happen. Without knowing the true identity of the Zetta Sonic, it is only natural that Mark let Kloster roam there. Jayden lets himself lean while thinking.
“Jayden, to be honest I don't like it when you say Kloster is under our control. But, I agree that you judge that we let them roam, do their best in other countries, other continents. It did happen.”
“You were sent here not to catch them,” said Jayden, “but just to keep an eye on them.”
“Until they attack your hideout.”
Gavin did not answer.
“You tried to save Alex?” ask Jayden. “Still feel indebted because we saved—”
“I did the right thing,” says Gavin. Then, he releases the ******breath, preparing to release the other facts. “I don't like to get involved in cold war between leaders. Nor do I intend to interfere in dissolution or revenge. Especially if it involves parents and children. It's depressing. So, you should know that this happened because of you guys.”
Jayden immediately frowned. “I blame Nadira. I told you that letting Alex be Zetta Sonic was not a brilliant idea.”
“Not. I'm not going to blame Nadira. It was the best decision among the worst. If anyone's to blame, I think it's—”
“Otto!” sahut Jayden's. “Wait!”
Anxiety swept over Jayden quickly. He swiped the tablet PC in front of him, checking the files he had taken without Nadira's knowledge. He looked at every date, then the location, then the codes. Something has escaped his observation. And, as the saying goes. No matter how much rot is kept, the smell cannot be hidden. Not forever.
Jayden finally got up. His eyes got the proof he wanted. The travel records of professor Otto. Several times to the same place at a time quite close to the original date of the files. The name of the place was empty, marked only by coordinate points. Somehow Jayden was not surprised again when he found the coordinates were in the Regis region.
From the light of the tablet PC, Gavin could see how Jayden's face changed. His body movement stopped. The young man must have realized something. “Nadira let Otto do his best in your region,” Gavin said. “Now it's Mark's turn to let Kloster roam here.”
Beyond Gavin's expectations, Jayden shook his head. “Maybe... more than that.”.
“What do you mean?”
“I don't think it's just about Mark letting Kloster be here. I thought it was about personal revenge. Do you know where Professor Otto went while he was in Regis?”
Gavin shrugged his shoulders. “I'm not a hacker. I just heard that Mark Hill sent a special agent to accompany Otto while visiting there for some kind of comparative study or whatever.”
“Kloster.”
“What?”
“Dia to Kloster island several times in close proximity. If you ask me, I'm sure this is very closely related to today's problem.”
“You think professor Otto stole something from Kloster?”
“Maybe. Whynot? He's a crazy professor who only cares about his experiments.”
Gavin. One hand rubbed his face. He does not like to discuss the various theories behind an incident. He prefers to fight with criminals. “It's a shame we can't ask the dead.”
“We can ask other professors.”
“What are you talking about?” Gavin asked slowly, pretty sure he wouldn't like Jayden's answer.
“During on the island of Kloster, professor Otto accompanied other researchers. Want to know his name? Dominic Jeremy English's. I should have known! The professor suddenly tried to get close to Dr. Vanessa. Now I agree with Alex, this will not end well.”
