The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
The Last Gift

Alex is on the wide track. The place felt too broad and quiet. There's no Emil, no Jayden. He was accompanied only by Fergus and Tiger. They've helped Alex prepare ahead of time. From weapons to other equipment.

Alex's car has been set up. A jet-black SUV with green line accents. There are other cars parked neatly on the right and left side of the track. There is also complete equipment like the one in the workshop, but this is more complete. But there was no one but them. Fergus seems to want Zetta Sonic to get some privacy. In another sense, secret.

“You don't have to really beat him alone,” Fergus said. “There are agents preparing with fighter planes there will also be snipers.”

Alex recalled clearly at his fight with Rando just a moment ago. Other ICPA agents are unlikely to be a help but a burden to him. Outsiders will only be easy prey for Damon. If Alex has to help people again before dealing with Damon, that's obviously going to be a problem for him. He also shakes.

“I think it would be better if I was alone. Damon will not hesitate to attack others who interfere,” he said.

Tiger agreed. “Causible. He even already has many hostages at this time.”

“Crue. But, I will still send agents to guard the surrounding area. We still need them in case something unwanted happens. And, yes, those hostages should be released soon.” Fergus glanced at the drone that was already in the car. The drone was sleeping comfortably in the front passenger seat. “Again, I don't think you're really alone.

“Jason part of team.” Alex smiled behind the helmet of the combat uniform he had been wearing back. Fergus doesn't have to see it.

“Maybe only Jason will be with you on the field today but he's not the only one.” Tiger threw his eyes at Fergus.

Alex caught the meaning of the remark quickly. “I know,” said, “ada people standing guard behind the scenes. You and Fergus will be the operators for me. It was an honor.”

Fergus. “I obviously can't let your face be seen by other agents. Too risky. Didn't they? I can't let you fight on your own either. Always good preparing eyes above the sky.”

Alex shrugged his shoulders. Complicated situation. Always has. He turned to face the car.

“Hei, boy. You think we'll just let you go?”

Alex turns to Tiger and Fergus again. “What do you mean?”

Tiger chuckles. He threw something Alex caught easily. Alex frowned when the object appeared under the bright light. It was just a tiny square-shaped metal. Its size is almost exactly the same as one finger. It is bright green with intricate lines that remind Alex of circuitry.

“What surprise is this again?” Alex asked as his hand flipped back at the thin object. “What is this supposed to be affixed to Zet-Arm?”

As soon as Alex brought the object closer to the bracelet in his hand, it stuck as if there was a strong magnet there. More precisely, it was attached to the inside of the wrist. The size is very fitting with the size of the Zet-Arm. Alex realized that there was no difference in thickness there at all. It was as if it had seeped inside the Zet-Arm bracelet itself.

“That's from Jayden,” Fergus said.

Alex nodded in disbelief. Tiger chuckled again.

Fergus smiles. He could see Alez's flurry behind the combat uniform. “Jayden made you a shield. Unfortunately, it had not really finished when he disappeared. Emil tried to finish it. And.. Yes, you know.”

“True. He's an expert at managing data, making sure which data is genuine and not.” Fergus went back to Alex. “So, where was it? Oh, ja. Emil showed me the chip. I sent it to the technician. They help perfect it. Honestly, I don't know what kind of shield Jayden meant but it should be enough.”

Tiger puffed out his chest as if he made it. “He can even withstand the explosion of bombs and bazookas. Just have to give orders from your brain only.”

Alex observes the green chip that has been installed. As if understanding what he wanted, data appeared on the helmet screen before him. He looked at the numbers, some indicators, and also a clear green shield of pentagonal shape that seemed to be able to set his small size.

Fergus folded his arms in front of his chest. “Actually,” he said a little hesitantly, “I don't really want you to use it. Begin—”

“Not passed the trial?” sahut Alex's. “Don't worry, I'm used to stuff fresh out of the oven.”

Fergus spontaneously gawks with Alex's guess.

Tiger laughed out loud because of it. “I told you, ‘kan? This boy has a keen instinct.”

Fergus just nodded with a knotty smile.

“Solve Damon quickly, boy. There are still other missions waiting for you,” Tiger said before Alex turned around. He doesn't have to explain. Alex understood it. He still had to go to the location that the robot bee showed.

Alex nodded once then stepped into the car. His heart felt a little lighter. Maybe he can entrust Jayden's search to Caitlin first. That girl should have prevented Jayden from moving again.

Nah! Alex shook his head. He couldn't trust Caitlin. He agreed with Tiger. He has to finish his fight with Damon. The faster, the better. He had to reclaim what Roban had taken from him. He knows he will not be satisfied until he shows that he is also competent. Proof on Caitlin, Roban, also himself.

Alex started the engine. The car drove high above the track, passing through an automatic gate disguised in an abandoned building, heading into the middle of a still bustling city.

Far behind, at the ICPA headquarters, Tiger glanced at Fergus. “So? You know a lot about Alex. From Nadira?”

Fergus seemed reluctant to answer. He even puts his shoulders. “There is always a path to get information when you are in the lead position.”

“Doctor Vanessa? Emil?” Tiger kept guessing. “It would be very funny if you turned out to be doctor husband Vanessa or father Emil.”

“Paman.”

“Wait! What?” Tiger couldn't believe what he just heard.

“It looks like you also have a pretty strong instinct. I'm uncle Emil.” Fergus throws a knotty smile. “Seeing you gawking so, I'm pretty sure we don't look alike.” Fergus finally laughed. “So? What about Alex? Similar to his father?”

Tiger also chuckled. “You're kidding? He's better than his father.”
