Gavin was facing the same direction as Alex. One hand held a dagger, another held a gun, still with the same horses. Alex is prepared for any surprises to come. As the steps in front of him approached, his figure grew more and more visible. There are three robots similar to the first robot that Alex faced before.
Three. Not one.
All three have egg heads, eyes that glow red, and hands and feet like humans. Only one is the difference between the three. If the robot that Alex fought first gray, these robots have been coated in thick plastic and painted a special color as if showing different potential. One red robot, one yellow robot, one blue robot.
“Seriously? Anything else?” Alex blinked, thinking it was just a hallucination.
Gavin doesn't say much, he goes first. The robots shoot with one hand. There were at least fifteen bullets hovering at him. Gavin dropped himself on the floor. He gave a laser shot while taking cover near the body of a factory employee.
Alex wants to protest. His actions could make the robots shoot down. The unconscious factory employees could have been killed by the action. Unfortunately, Alex doesn't have much time. He himself had to dodge the bullet attack.
Gavin's attack almost hit the blue robot. Almost. Somehow the attack slipped. Gavin himself was surprised. He sure believes the shot is right. Even if there was a mistake there, it was only because the muzzle of the gun shifted slightly when pressing the trigger. Alex knew it was not a mistake.
The screen on Alex's helmet detects changes in air pressure. The change is like a hand that makes Gavin fail to shoot properly. Alex suspects the robot did it alone. Alex also chose to go forward to make sure of himself.
The red robot raised its hand forward. Alex was ready with a sword in his hand. He thought that the robot would pull out a sword anyway, apparently not. Alex gasped to see tiny teeth thrown out of the robot's wrist. This forced Alex to fend off with a sword.
Again, Alex is still an amateur. Instead of successfully fending off, he instead made a fractured and stiff movement. All the jagged about him. Hands, shoulders, feet, all. The attack made new scratches on his uniform.
Not stopping there, he saw the yellow robot extending its hand forward. His palm had a protruding circle with a yellow splash. Alex can guess what it is. As soon as all the serrated attacks disappeared, Alex charged forward. He crashed his body into the robot, thwarting the electrical attacks from both palms.
Realizing that his body was hugged by a foreigner, defensive maneuvers were carried out. A sound accompanied by a strong pressure gushed out from his back. The robot is pushed along with Alex to the submarine dock. The robot is equipped with a rocket on its back. Something Alex envies half to death. But, it was definitely not the time to compare himself to a robot.
The submarine dock is now turning into a helicopter runway. There's no water there. The hole that was supposed to connect them directly to the sea was instead covered by a row of sturdy stainless steel doors.
On top of it, the robot's body began to emit yellow splashes. Alex got his warning. There was a big electrical jump. He had to get away if he didn't want to get stung. In a split second, Alex broke away. So that he does not fall again, Alex immediately threw the hook. He swung fast, landing on the edge of the dock.
Before the yellow robot strikes again, Alex takes aim only to find that his opponent is no longer alone. The robots are there. Red, yellow, blue. The three floated using rockets on their backs. As Alex prepares for the worst of a join attack, the three robots extend their hands down.
“What do they do? They want to escape!?” exclaim Alex.
[Stop them!] Jayden's voice rang out as Jason approached.
Alex fired a shot that always failed to hit the target. So did Jason's attack. The blue robot looked at him as if it was him. There was also an electric shock on Jason, making the drone crash-land with a loud clanging sound.
[Damn!] As if he could feel the strangeness that occurred, Jayden gave a warning like a Zetta Sonic combat uniform. [I found a strange anomaly in all three.]
[Maybe worse. Get ready!]
The three simultaneously gave an attack on the row of sturdy doors below. Their fingers opened fire, plus electric shocks, serrations, and I don't know what else. Next, the explosion was accompanied by high black smoke. Then, the three of them dropped themselves together into the sea, diving away.
Alex took a while to digest what happened. He still coughed and his eyes blinked expelling the spicy taste. In front of him, the pier was open. He could see that the road to the sea was now wide open. Along with that, the smoke slowly dissipates.
[Alex, are you okay?]
“You should have said from the beginning!”
[I warned you.]
“You didn't say that there were three more robots like the first robot or that they could make such an explosion.” Alex felt his voice hoarse and slightly tremble. Either because it's upset because the robot is running away or because the adrenaline is still triggered.
[Hey, I don't know anything about that. I also have the right to be upset. Jason was shot down.] Jayden outlined the point. [And, Gavin is missing.]
“What? Why did you let him escape?”
[I let him escape? Hey, listen carefully. One, he's not a prisoner even though I wonder why he's here. Two, you go here first. Three, you're under attack by three robots.]
“I'm not going of my will. And, I can handle them!”
[Oh, huh? All I see is, you're an easy target for the red robot.]
Alex is eager to continue their debate. However, there are new entrants. Alex sees small submarines popping up at the docks. They are painted black with a slightly white striped green painted part, courtesy of the ICPA. Help has come. The officers evacuated the factory employees to a safe place.
One of the officers approached Alex, extending a hand. “Good work, Zetta Sonic! We'll take over from here.”
“Thank you.” Alex shook the big man's hand. “We will continue destroying this place?”
“I heard Nadira was negotiating if she could get this place. But, since it meant that he had to get the factory over him as well, I thought that in the end he would choose to destroy this place. The higher-ups do not want any party to control the killer robot.”
“Country officials or ICPA executives?”
His interlocutor smiled and whispered near his helmet. “We know that everyone wants control of the killer robot. We also know who will always get it at the end of the battle. Us, ICPA.”
