The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Bedroom Defaults

Emil saw professor Otto. The professor seemed to have been waiting for him in the command room. Tiger passed by the professor, directly occupying a seat near a large table facing a giant screen. In an instant, the screen displayed what was happening in the training room. The picture in which Alex is alone is pitched with many rifles embedded in the wall. Emil ignored the spectacle and moved towards the professor. The professor sits in his position on the right side.

“Follow me!” the professor stood up.

“It wasn't a request.” Emil knows.

Professor smiles. “Maybe we will match.”

Professor Otto moved out, Emil followed behind him without saying much. He had thought that the professor would take him to the generator room, even hoping to be invited to the area in the middle of the bed. In fact, the professor just kept walking across the gray hallway, down to the lower floor, into his own room. Their journey was shaded by silence, only the sound of the professor's staff making a sound.

The professor's room was the same size as the other rooms. Once inside, white light flooded the entire room. There is a bed on one side of the room. A large but empty table on the other side as well as a row of vaults locked by fingerprints. If you notice, the closet does not have a handle, there is only a gap between one door and another door. Four doors in total.

The room had no items showing the professor's personal belongings. It looks like an uninhabited room. The aroma is not like the occupants but a mixture of the smell of wall paint and the smell of foreign chemicals.

Professor Otto, like doctor Vanessa, rarely stays at the Special Force headquarters. Even if devoted to the Special Force, they still got some other duties on that command of Nadira.

“Sit!” pinta professor. His hands waved at the chair near the table. He himself sat on another chair beside the bed. “Before I start, I need to remind you, you are my men.”

Emil nodded. Organically, he was indeed Otto's assistant professor. He replaced Caitlin.

“I want you to always speak honestly to me!” pinta professor again.

Emil gave a second nod.

“Now tell me. This place is not under Jayden's supervision, ‘kan?”

Emil did not nod even though what the professor said was correct. None of the rooms in the Special Force have surveillance cameras. The surveillance cameras in the rooms clearly violate a person's privacy. “No, prof.”

“Good. Now I want you to listen to me carefully. What I'm about to tell you is a secret. No one should know. Not Jayden, not Tiger, not Alex. Only Nadira and us know this.”

Emil is used to not engaging his emotions in work. Hearing the professor say so only makes him pull the body forward in order to listen better. No significant changes to the face. His eyes also stared at me.

The professor took a deep breath then said, “I managed to create the Dragon Blood formula again. The same composition. Three agents selected as trial volunteers. They're all dead.”

This time, Emil reacted. His eyes widened without being told. His shoulders sagged as if he was under a heavy load. Although his mouth was tightly gripped, his shock could not be hidden.

“How—”

“How can it happen?” The professor continued the question that Emil was about to throw. “I also want to know the answer! I made the formula exactly the same! How can that formula fail now?” The tone of the professor's voice rose. He pushed his wand to the floor.

Emil stared fixedly. He managed to keep a variety of questions crammed into his heart. He knew clearly that the professor would not like questions. Not at the moment. He better wait for the professor to continue his story.

The professor let out a long sigh after stopping for quite a long time. His tone returned as normal. “For a researcher like me, this is a shame. Maybe even very embarrassing. Alex, the boy, can instead survive through an accidental transfusion. In the meantime.I repeated the making without the slightest change. The volunteers are better than Alex. They are trained and competent people. All have gone through health tests. His research failed.”

Emil bergeming's. He doesn't know what to say at the moment. He had heard that four volunteers were scheduled to receive Dragon Blood donors. One of them, Caitlin. After this assistant professor came out, the remaining three people. All three are trained agents of the ICPA. They have a good track record and are in top condition. Reportedly, before the experiment was scheduled, the four had practiced daily to prepare themselves. Emil understood why the professor was so upset.

“I've seen CCTV footage when the accident happened. I'm watching everything closely. I guess anything that might make a difference. But, there's no. Everything I counted missed. This is totally unacceptable!” The professor stomped the stick to the floor again.

Next, the professor walked towards a wall covered in cabinets. When his hand touched the surface of the gray closet, there was a soft click and a fast green dark sound. The closet door that the professor touched was slightly sticking out. Professor opens.

Emil peeking. He could see that it was not the clothes in his room. The inside is filled with black or gray boxes of various sizes. The professor moved, looking for something. His hand reached out to the edge, pulling the small box. He took the box to Emil's front.

“Check this!” her door. “Do not until anyone knows.”

“What is this?” Finally Emil spoke.

“You will know after seeing it later. This is your first assignment as my assistant. Don't disappoint me and Nadira. We need the Zetta Sonic. Ah, no. We need another agent stronger than Alex. He's just a kid. While the world needs a real agent.”

Emil lowered his gaze to the box that had moved into his hand. It was slightly larger than his palm. Very thin and very cold. The metal coating reflects apparently itself. He's seen that box before. The box is an ICPA-made storage drive for storing confidential data.

It didn't take long for him to find the lines on the upper right edge. At first, he thought it was a scratch. Upon further consideration, he found that the line formed a triangle with stars inside.

“What's his name?” Emil asked again.

The professor smiled this time. “I like you asking that. If the project is successful, Nadira and I agree to call it Zetta Nitro.”

Nitro. Emil doesn't like that name. The name is always associated with explosions and — is usually — deaths. “You think Alex can't fight those criminals alone?” ask Emil again.

The professor makes a grin that Emil dislikes more. His eyes grew bigger and his mouth widened with hoarseness. “Why do you ask that, Emil? How long do you think Alex will last? If it wasn't the criminals who killed Alex, Dragon Blood would have killed him.”
