The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Roomie

Ever since Jayden moved to the main headquarters, he had a private room on the fourth floor. The empty room is now filled by his sophisticated computer as well as some other equipment from the headquarters in the reservoir.

Jayden sat in his place as usual, while Emil sat on the other side facing a different screen but with a connected system. Emil's desk doesn't belong to Jayden. At least there is a keyboard, mouse, bottle of drinking water, also a glass filled with hot coffee. Their headquarters provided hot coffee and tea on each floor through the machine. Every agent needs it to stay up. Especially for those who work behind the scenes like Jayden and Emil.

After an hour struggling with virtual objects, the door of the room opened without a knock. Tiger's in. His hands carried a large paper bag. His eyes shifted from Jayden to Emil, then to the screen they were watching. Emil turned back to her and returned to his own screen.

“I'm actually lazy to ask, but have you officially recruited him?” Tiger's question was directed at Jayden.

“I take that as a rhetorical question.” Jayden throws a knotty smile.

“I don't even know what rhetorical.” is

“Unnecessary questions answered.”

“So, it's interview stage or what?” Tiger squinted his eyes, researching what the two young men were actually working on there. They at least have something in common when it comes to being in front of the screen in terms of focus. Like a wild animal chasing prey. Jayden is noisier, Emil is quieter.

“Do I need to answer that?”

“Not done. I'm hungry.” Tiger pulled one seat near Jayden. He put his paper bag on the table. “Snack.” Tiger took out a burger wrapped in red paper in it and a box of fries.

“Since when do you like to bring me snacks like this at night?”

“Since the boy drained my energy. Physically and mentally.”

“Alex or Zetta Sonic?”

Tiger squinted his eyes again. He believes they still agreed not to mention Alex's name in front of strangers. More precisely, in front of a person who does not belong to the Zetta Sonic Special Force. “Both,” replied Tiger while taking a piece of potato.

“You challenged him one-on-one. Not a smart move.”

“Not exactly like that. Don't ask.”

Jayden nodded. If Tiger had cut off his torch there, he wouldn't have dared to go any further. Jayden took the potato cut.

“There's still plenty for all of us,” Tiger said again. He glanced at Emil who was still glued to the screen. “Hei. Do you want a chicken burger or egg?”

Emil turned to her. “I like fish.”

“Then, catch!” Tiger grabbed one blue paper-coated burger. He threw it at Emil and the young man caught it easily. “It's also good that I bought every kind of burger at Trooper.”

Emil smile. “Burger they are good. But, their chicken sticks are weird. It feels like rubber. With flour. And seasoning topping.”

Tiger raised his burger on Emil as if it was a beer glass. “At least we agree on one thing. Their more suitable chicken stick is called calamari stick.”

“I don't even know they sell chicken sticks,” says Jayden. His hand reached into the paper bag, choosing between a chicken burger or egg burger or something else. “What do they sell calamari ring?”

Emil raised his voice. “No. Not.” He put his burger on the table without intending to eat it.

“Maybe not something worth trying.” Tiger flicked his shoulders, making a big bite on his burger. “You got anything? Blueprint of the killer robot?”

“I'm still sorting through the data. Text data, financial data, research data, and more. There's a lot of interesting stuff. At least we know there's more than one factory like this. Not just in this city alone, there were on other continents as well. Same characteristics. Underground factory under other normal factory.”

“Entahlah. But, if I become Filip, I will immediately change the factory to another place.” Jayden finally took the egg burger. He took two boxes of potatoes, one for him, one for Emil. He used the opportunity to stretch before walking to Emil's place. “A short break will not hurt.”

“They made four new robots. Four different abilities. Four different weapons. Fire, laser, electricity, wind. Swords, serrated discs, spears, throwing knives.” Emil showed four kinds of images on the screen. Each image contains a similar image of a robot in a different color.

“I'm sure Alex has destroyed that fire.”

“There are three more. Are you still doing a lot?”

“We? I'm sure you'll give me a lot of help here.

Tiger stood up. He walked to Emil's side. It leads to the burger. Do you want to eat that or not? Smells tease me.” Tiger's speech made Emil move his hand to open the burger pack. Tiger turned to Jayden. “I don't like this. Did he say laser earlier?”

“I'm sure it wasn't a robot with the first laser weapon. Rather than that, I'm more interested in robots that have the ability to modify the wind. He can change the direction of the wind. That kind of thing, ‘kan? That's something new. Especially with throwing-” knife

“and strings,” Further Emil.

“Senar?” Jayden repeated Emil's words as if he had misheard them.

“Senar.” Emil zooms in on the blue robot. There are several examples of knife blades with long lines behind them complete with captions. There is string writing there. “This robot will be troublesome.”

“We are open to new ideas,” Jayden said. “Are you making something no one wants to make something?”

“Why don't you guys make Zetta Sonic fly?”

“Still in the development stage.”

“If he could fly, he should be able to get out of that string circuit more easily. He won't get caught up in it. If the robot is smart enough to make a trap.”

“Attractive thoughts. You can help me develop the rocket and its wings. I'll share the big plan later.”

Emil nodded. “Sure.” While enjoying his fish burger, his fingers moved to continue sorting the data. “Send me. As you search where the empty robots are. Or, maybe the girls.”

Jayden exchanged glances with Tiger. “What empty robot?”

“This empty robot.” Emil showed me a row of dismantled robot shells. There is also a list of names of girls with the amount of money. The nominal is not a little. In addition, there is also a delivery receipt.”

Jayden was silent for a moment. After which, he could feel the horror crawling down his back. “Gosh. This is why Gavin is there!”

“What do you mean?” Tiger frowned.

Jayden explained. “The names of these women are on the missing persons search list. One of the names below, Silvy Eleanor, is Gavin's girlfriend. She and Silvy should be on vacation right now. Philip must be the mastermind behind the disappearance of these women. Likely, he kidnapped them and sent them to various places. There are many shipping receipt abroad, ‘kan? Human trafficking”

“For what?”

“Many. Most likely, made into a slave or get organ.”

“How can they escape surveillance in port and others?”

This time, Emil helped answer. “They use a robot shell. Real girls. Robot appearance.”
