[Alex.] Fergus' voice echoed in Zet-Arm's bracelet. The sound was also heard from the loudspeakers inside the fighter plane. [Damon escaped from the plane that was supposed to take him back to prison. He damaged his plane and killed an ICPA agent who served there.]

“So, it's the same Damon? He actually turned into a monster,” Alex replied.

[This is not the first time the ICPA has faced such a case.]

Alex knows. He had seen similar cases in a collection of mission reports and videos. “Is this the first time an ICPA professor has been behind it?”

Alex waited for a while, but because Caitlin never spoke, Alex changed asking, “I what?”

Caitlin had actually opened her mouth herself, but whatever was in her mouth at that moment vanished. He clenched his lips and immediately opened them to speak. “You... don't die!”

Caitlin's words made Alex smile knot. As far as her memory goes, Caitlin hates her. However, Alex has taken Caitlin's chance to become Zetta Sonic. He irritated the girl until she resigned. No one would blame Kara for yelling hysterically. Damon looks more like a monster. His clothes were torn because of his bulging muscles. His severed hand had turned into a large wing, similar to a bat wing. The faceless veins increased a lot around his face. His body color darkened to a dark gray like a winged undead. Its shape even stunned Alex for a moment.

Tiger shook his surprise. [Alex, the Dragon Blood energy within you is undetectable. We don't know how much power you can use. Doc, is this a bad sign?]

Doctor Vanessa finally spoke. [I'm not sure. But, as long as Alex is conscious, it shouldn't be that bad.]

At that time, Alex only realized that Zet-Arm was no longer showing how much energy. There is a writing ‘ERROR’ overlays where the indicator should be. “Maybe the bracelet is broken. I'm fine,” Alex said, half calming himself.

[Revelation!] Fergus called out at the right time.

Damon flew quickly at him. Alex uses his shield this time. Damon's hands took turns trying to tear the shield apart. Now there are sharp nails on each finger. Fergus immediately chimed in. [That's not advice. That's what you have to do, Alex.]

Alex looked back. Cutting off the arm of someone he knew had the potential to become a monster, in contrast to taking one's life even if it had become a monster. For a moment, he knew he had hesitated. The doubt puts him in danger.

Damon. He tried to catch the opponent. His sharp claw ripped Alex's right thigh, making the boy squash. The attack penetrated the Zetta Sonic uniform. Three short scratches in hurting Alex's skin. Instead of getting sick, Alex was scared. If he had any doubts, he knew he could be killed.

“That power has eaten him,” Alex said softly, recalling his own words.

[Focus, kid!] Tiger reminded.

Alex maneuvered in mid-air, dodging the oncoming attacks. Damon flies so fast. It looks like a predatory bird chasing prey. Never once did sound or words just growl. His eyes were full of cruelty. Alex swoops in sharply, hoping to get a chance to strike back.

The opponent followed for a moment. However, as Alex flew lower and lower, Damon stopped in midair while flapping his wide pair of wings. He shook his head, expelling the discomfort that came in his head. Damon gave a glance. His eyes got the fighter plane that was close. Instead of chasing Alex, Damon changes course to her.

“Sial!” Alex realized his mistake. Damon's more interested in Kara's plane now, not in her.

This time Alex is chasing Damon. The speed of his opponent could not be underestimated. The rocket had almost trouble chasing him. Damon approached the plane with ease. Alex has to stop it. He could not shoot because he was at risk of getting hit by the ICPA plane. He should do it the same way.

Alex unsheathed the sword as soon as he was near Damon. Instead of dodging or counter-attacking, Damon let a part of his body be cut off. Alex's sword cuts off his right leg. Alex can only flinch in disbelief.

The truncated leg turned into a gray lump that fell splattered. It doesn't take long, new blobs appear. They are entrenched on the edge of the cut foot. In an instant, they clustered together, forming new legs. Alex knew it didn't happen to the professor's pre-history monster. Damon is another species.

“Wait! He can regenerate!?” Alex screams in disbelief.

[Don't let him run! Keep attacking him!] sahut Tiger's.

Damon's out of Alex's attack range again. The monster starts to approach Kara's plane. Help came from the opposite direction. A pair of tiny planes darted through the air. Both of them passed Kara's plane. The drone has arrived. There was a tiny snout coming out from the bottom. Their edges flushed red and in an instant flashed a laser-green beam at Damon.

Damon turned around immediately. He avoided every ray that came at him. Alex didn't waste his chance. With his sword swung, Alex grabbed one of his opponent's wings. Damon also fell. Not until it touched the snowy ground, its wings began to grow. Despite the shock, Damon approaches a drone, smashing it into pieces.

Alex could feel his breathing being held back. How could he destroy something that could continuously heal him?
