The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Bit

Not until half an hour after the conversation ended, Tiger came to Alex's room with a large iron cage containing a black rottweiler. The dog recognized his master and barked in excitement while wagging his tail. When he turned to Jayden or Tiger, the dog growled.

Alex sat on his bed. He could not help but smile at the figure he recognized to be there. “You won't let go?”

Tiger folded his hands to the front of his chest. “You know, son? This is the most embarrassing job of my life. Kidnapping a dog.”

“You used an anesthetic bullet or electric shock?”

“You better not know.” Tiger bowed to the cage door. “Listen to naughty dogs, if you bite me, I'll shoot.”

Alex smiles. Slowly, he got down despite having to hold onto the bed. As soon as Rover gets freedom, Rover approaches Alex. But his steps stopped. His nose sniffed repeatedly as if he wanted to ascertain whether Alex was really his master or not.

“He smelled something unnatural.” Tiger squinted his eyes. His hand was ready to grab the gun he had used to knock out the Rover.

Jayden pursed his lips. “Actually, that's natural. Blame Dragon Blood.”

Alex slowly sat on the floor. He waited for his beloved dog to approach again. When it was close enough, the Rover barked again while wagging its tail, then began licking the master. Alex actually doesn't like that, especially this time, he let it go.

“Good. Now, sit!” Alex pinta. The rover barked once and sat down as ordered. Alex rubbed the dog's head. Rover put his head on his master's thigh. “Basic spoiled dog!”

Tiger growled softly. “Male and his dog.”

Jayden gently nudged Tiger's shoulder, “See on the bright side, no one was bitten.”

Alex was only given a ten-minute chance to play with the Rover. Next, Vanessa's doctor arrives. He gives a brief introduction before taking Alex in a capsule to the generator room. Rover went into the iron cage. Jayden won't let their room break down for the third time.

This time, Nadira was not there. He was in a meeting with other leaders. Doctor Vanessa, Tiger, and Rover looked over from the supervisory room on the top floor. In the control room, there was only Professor Otto, Caitlin, and Jayden. The charging this time should go smoothly. It did happen. The process goes on for thirty minutes. There are no problems of overcapacity, sparks, or explosions. Everything went well.

Maybe, too well.

Alex doesn't remember anything else after she's put in the capsule. He only knew after returning to his room. He was awakened by the same mood. The room is all white, green line lights, and a smile Jayden concluded. This time, there was an additional sound of dogs. The rover there, realizing that his master had woken up.

“He's waiting for you,” Jayden said.

“I know.” Alex got up slowly. His body feels fresh at the moment. “Did I destroy something earlier?”

“Neg. All safe.”

“How about Rover?”

“Faith. Actually, he had tried to bite Tiger again earlier. But, Tiger snarled back at him and it all ended well.”

“Honey once.” Alex also smiles.”

“What do you mean? I thought you didn't like to destroy things.”

“Not me this time. Dia.” Alex glanced at Rover. The dog sat quietly with his tail swaying. He was not in the cage, but right next to the bed. Only, because the position of the bed is high enough, Rover can not reach it. Alex remembered something else. “By the way, why is that guy called Tiger?”

“I think he's a former member of the military or what.”

“After Nadira recruited him, Tiger did get military training. Not from the military, of course. We also have our own training. Just as hard, just as heavy. You're lucky you don't have to go through it to become an ICPA.” agent

“I may not want to be the new organizational agent I heard.”

Jayden nodded. “Absolutely. But, do not think that you will not get any training. Your training will begin. Let me tell you from the beginning. Your training will be different from other agents. You need to learn everything from the basics. Self defense, shooting, all. In addition, you must also learn to control the Dragon Blood within you. In my opinion, it won't be easy.”

Alex realized that in his left hand there was now a white bracelet. The size is quite thin like a fitness tracker. Plain, without buttons. When Alex brings his finger closer, the clock, date, and battery indicator appear like a watch in general. Alex is sure the surprise is not over.

As Alex shifted his fingers without even touching the clock, now came a large indicator with a shield symbol and a green star at the top. This indicator shows full power. Alex pulled his fingers down. Now, a green hologram screen appears floating above it. There is a silhouette of his own body complete with information and some other menus.

“Wow! It's just interesting.”

Jayden smiled wryly. “Solar powered hand clock. Explosion and fire resistant, also of course, waterproof. You can hack a simple system with it or access any CCTV in the city. We'll learn it later. But, I'm sure you'll like.”

“Can I call through here?”

“You can contact me. More precisely, you can contact this headquarters. I'll always be in the computer room. Never try to call your house person, friend, or girlfriend with it. Won't work.”

“I don't have a girlfriend.”

“Good. Don't contact your gebetan with it.”

“What? How--”

“Data, Alex. I know there's a girl at your school who's pretty interesting. Name, Leta. You once hacked a ticket sales site to buy him his favorite band VIP tickets before the sale even started. He must have been very impressed with your actions back then.”

“Didn't your data show that we finally all went to watch the ball because there are friends who compete?”

“Eh?” Jayden also gawked. He hurriedly fixed his face. “See? Many things are not listed in data.”

Alex smiled amusedly. He got off easily. There was no breathing apparatus, infusion hose, or anything stuck to him this time. As soon as it came down, the Rover barked in excitement. Alex reached out to play with his beloved dog. That's when mistakes happen. When his hand touched the Rover's head, a small green spark struck. Rover barked in pain. The dog fell, twitched, budged on the floor.

“Rover? Rover!” Alex screams in panic. “Jayden, what happened!?”

Jayden crouched on the floor. “Return a minute.” Alex backs off while Jayden checks on the rottweiler. After that, he took a short breath. “Good news, he's alive, only hit by a slight electric strike from Sonic. The bad news is, you better learn to control your powers before falling victim to another.”

Alex pulled both of his hands in front of his face. “I... hurt him with my own strength? The power of Zetta Sonic?”

“Sort of that.” Jayden put the Rover back in the cage. “I'll take him to doctor Vanessa. He could have done something. During that time, maybe you want to try playing around with your bracelet. Many features there.”

Alex fell silent. The hand he used to see now felt different.

“Dan,” added Jayden, “try not to blow up anything here. I'm serious.”
