The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Long Ago's

Jayden ran between the gunshots. His sight was filled with brown and gray. The dust flies mercilessly over the desert. The wind is hotter than an oven. A sweat pours through his forehead. He remembered the sunburn that always made his skin redden. He remembered the battle as well the pain of its aftermath. He also clearly remembered that it had already passed in the past.

What will happen like a movie. Jayden stopped suddenly when he saw the vehicle coming from the side. Not a tank, but a 4WD jeep. The car did not come alone. There are other cars. There were at least five people on top of the car. Everyone put a gun on him. They shot everyone but him.

Jayden raised his hand, trembling. His knees were caved in by fatigue. He knelt on the sand. Each inch of his skin was sticky and sandy. He lowered his head, ready to feel the sensation he was afraid of, a shot in the head. In fact, it never happened.

His gaze suddenly darkened as the men stuffed his head in the sack. Smells nauseating. Fear makes his stomach feel stirred. His hands were pulled back roughly while being wrapped around the rope. The blisters don't disappear for weeks.

It was his first kidnapping.

Jayden gnashing. His chest went up and down quickly. Breathing snorted. He made it out of his dream of his first abduction. A real sweat drenched his forehead. For a long time he had not seen those memories so clearly. Jayden blames his latest abduction for the nightmare.

Slowly, he got up. The room was almost dark and quiet. The lighting light comes only from a tiny lamp near a computer monitor. The atmosphere he enjoyed to rest. Except, it's not his room.

She's alone. His guards stood guard outside as he rested. However, that does not mean that he can use the computer at will. The power is off from the outside. He can't control anything in that room. The lights cannot either. Everything is arranged by someone else. Most likely, the person behind the surveillance camera. All movements are monitored.

Jayden sighed softly. His heart was calm again. His head thought of his next move. However, instead of thinking about how to escape from there, Jayden was more interested in finding out who kidnapped him. He has a guess. Many, even. One by one, they are eliminated by over-prepared planning.

Funny thing is, when you think about it, the lights in the room are all on. Two guards came in. They, as usual, wore full weapons as well as tight black clothes. The two did not speak but stood at the door. Jayden knows the continuation. The computer is on. He saw an old man in a gray hat in a grey suit. His skin was pale and wrinkled although his face was not clearly visible, only his thick mustache was visible. The lighting across there is made dim to obscure the figure.

Jayden doesn't have to bother thinking about who that person is. He's a fake, Jayden knows. Too soon if this crime boss brings up his face right now. That would be quite contrary to his neat planning.

“Hai, Jayden.” The old man said hello.

“Hei, Roban.” Jayden remembered how the old man had introduced himself. Of course, it's a fake name anyway.

“You only slept for a few hours. Nightmare?”

“At least I can sleep.” His interlocutor always contacted him when he woke up. The man was waiting for him to give him a new task. What a shitty thing.

“I have another task.”

Jayden snorted amusedly as the remark came out. Everything was exactly what he had in mind. “This time, I don't think it's about banks anymore. You know who I am and what I can do. Why not just go straight?”

“You don't look scared at all, Jayden.”

“I told you, call me Roban—”

“Come on, it's just a pseudonym. Tell me what you want. ICPA member list? My brain doesn't memorize. Icpa technology? I'm not the ultimate holder of all research and technology data. You need me to do something. Whatisit? Hack ICPA systems? Just so you know, there are other people there who can prevent hackers from entering.”

Jayden tried hard enough not to boast. He could hack the ICPA system with a little trick, if he wanted to. He obviously didn't want Roban or anyone behind him to know about this.

“You are smart. I think it'd be better if he talked to you. Have fun with him.”

Jayden did not respond. The screen in front of him darkened. Along with that, the door opened. This time two guards opened the door for a girl. Her body is a model. He was wearing jeans and a pink shirt that opened quite low. Her brown curly hair was pigtailed to form a perfect ponytail. In Jayden's dictionary, this girl is really charming.

The girl gave a soft and sweet smile. Mole near her left lip reinforces the effect, “It's nice to meet you, Jayden. My name is Camellia, Roban's personal assistant. My boss says you're one of the best agents in the ICPA. I hope he doesn't lie.”

Jayden had already turned around, facing the girl with little intention to stand up and approach. However, he held back. He was watching his interlocutor closely. The first thing that comes up is the scorn. The girl is not fit to be the old man's personal assistant. He's more suited to being the secretary of a young and wealthy CEO.

Camellia stepped forward then stopped right in front of him. He looked towards the computer. His fingers swept over the nearby computer. “I'm here to help.”

“Start with his identity,” said Jayden. He tried to take his gaze away from Camellia. The girl's charm was too strong to resist. His perfect body, his luxurious lips, also smelled of faint roses.

Camellia pulled out her fingers and patted Jayden on the cheek. “Let's start with you.”

“I don't think knowing about myself will help Roban.”

“Of course not.” Camelia had already pulled her hand which was now playing with hair. “Let's talk about your past. About Jason.”

“What?” Jayden gnashing.

Camellia looked back. The two guards left the room. The girl went to bed, waiting for Jayden to refocus on her, and then made a small laugh. “I told you, ‘kan? I'm here to help. Let's start with your past, Jayden. We know what happened back then. Everything was. Let's talk about Jason.”

The name never failed to make him stunned. Jayden needs a little time until he can wake himself up. “What do you know about him?”

“Many, but not as many as you. Don'worry. No one knows your sister more than you, Jayden. He may not be here, but that doesn't mean he can't drag you into trouble. I'm pretty sure you understand what I mean. So, let's start talking.”
