Far above their heads, Alex could see a drone from the TV station moving closer. Alex got the answer. The only reason why Damon wanted to fight in the open area was indeed news. He wants to show that he can beat Zetta Sonic. He wants to spread terror. He wants to prove that he is better than Alex.
Now, the horror began to permeate him. His hands tightly grasped the protective uniform that was still a long cylinder like a bullet. It was the best uniform he had right now. Ability the same as usual even if only one use. It was his last protective uniform.
“Emil. Please tell me that you have my usual protective uniform,” Alex said, knowing that Emil at headquarters could hear their conversation in the car.
Emil didn't answer as Alex wanted. [Negative.]
“When is the protective uniform done?”
[Not today. Tomorrow maybe. Or the day after. I need a hand. Nadira forbids.]
“There is a backup uniform again for Zetta Sonic?”
[I'm not sure. It seems like the last one.]
“Then, you have another help tool?” Alex knew this time he wouldn't get any help from Jason. The drone was not with him. Though sometimes the drone can help provide a small laser shot. It may be less powerful but still better than nothing.
[Sorry, Alex. There's no time. Too many things to do. Currently.] Emil stopped to yawn. [At least, Tiger's there. Finish it fast, yeah. I'm sleepy.]
Alex was about to protest, but Tiger was faster.
“Oh, another nerd boy.” Tiger clucked in annoyance. “I miss Jayden. He can handle many things at once. Emil needs to learn a lot from her. In fact, Jason is more expert at making things than he is.”
Alex was about to ask what Jason was really up to, but he knew this wasn't a good opportunity to have a chat. He has to beat Damon now or there won't be another chance.
Before activating his protective uniform, Alex throws a glance at Tiger and then at Damon, who is cracking his hand. Right now, they're pretty far from Damon. Damon himself seemed to have no intention of approaching even though he had already looked towards them. He was waiting for Alex to come to him.
“Don't tell me you're scared.” Tiger grunting.
Alex shakes. His heart is round. When nothing else is reliable, Alex knows he has to be the answer for them. “She's just another monster.”
Tiger smiled knot. The boy next to him had activated one of the best technologies of ICPA. The bullets decayed into hexagon-shaped pieces. They span every surface, forming pants, jackets, shoes, even helmets. Light and strong protective uniform. Suitable to move freely for the sake of subduing criminals or monsters like Damon.
[Fergus has sent an agent to stand guard.]
“I'll be on guard here.” Tiger spoke without being asked. “With popcorn.” Tiger took the popcorn off the back bench.
Behind the helmet, Alex smiled.
“Halo, son!” Damon approaching. “I wonder if you can develop as fast as me overnight.”
As if welcoming Damon, Alex walked over. “Trust me, one night will not be able to beat my practice, Damon. No need to bother running away, I will take you home to jail today.”
Damon laughing. Scars appeared on his face. Either it's just a suggestion or not Alex feels that his opponent's muscles are enlarged. It's definitely not something natural. I don't know what happened last night to Damon. But whatever it is, Alex doesn't let himself be daunted. He's senior. At least in the matter of Dragon Blood.
The view in front of Alex was gleaming green. His strength responds to his orders. Alex ran without saying much anymore. His speed was no longer the speed of an ordinary human. If without a protective uniform, the wind must be slapping his face.
Seeing Alex coming, Damon grinned. “Come, Sonic! Let me destroy you!”
Alex gnashing. He sure saw Damon grinning wider. Damon saw himself when his speed had increased. Could it be that Dragon Blood had managed to give him such a powerful ability overnight?
Alex swung his fists in front of Damon. The attack should have come in. Alex believes he has directed his attack to the right position, the chin. If it does, that hand should be able to make a robot Damon. Reality doesn't. Alex's hand hit Damon's. The opponent managed to catch the fist easily.
“Attracted?” Damon asked. The low voice plus the grin channeled its own terror for Alex.
Alex did not just struggle. Because his hand was locked, Alex took a quick spinning kick. The move forced Damon to release his hand. Damon survives by crossing his arms in front of his head. Alex didn't waste his chance. He kicks again and again. Seeing the opportunity, Alex clenched his hand and gave another fist.
Damon's still holding on. On one occasion, Damon catches Alex's wrist. “You didn't use your powers properly, Sonic! I'm much better than you!”
Alex tried to escape. Damon is stronger. Much more powerful. Alex found a warning on the helmet screen. Damon tried to smash his wrist. And, that shouldn't be possible. Panicking, Alex stretched out his palm at the opponent. If Dragon Blood did not manage to give it additional power for physical combat, then the attack should be able to.
Green smoke swirled around his palm. Soon they banded together, emitting heat and a deadly neon green. When his attack is ready, Alex shoots out his powers. The attack again damaged his gloves. They gushed out of him right into Damon's face.
The attack hit the target!
Damon's roar sounded loud. Along with that, there was a spark followed by thick smoke billowing from Alex's hand. When the green light starts to vanish, Alex thinks he'll see Damon wounded or maybe turn into a lump of land like a dinosaur monster. Instead of seeing the damage there, Alex swerved.
The figure nearby was just blisters. Damon's face flushed red from the high heat and bled from thin scratches. That'sallthatis. The rest were old scars caused by the Dragon Blood spill the first time. Alex nodded in disbelief. Not in pain, Damon laughed again.
“Hahaha... That's your best attack, Sonic? Very disappointing!”
Damon still clasped the opponent's wrist. He pulled the hand and threw it away.
The unprepared Alex could only gasp. His body floated in the air. Damon threw it like he was throwing a doll away. Fortunately, Alex was soon in control. He landed on his feet. The right hand helps him to balance himself and not be dragged too far. He stopped in front of a quiet shop. The flames behind him carried hot air as well as black dust.
Damon laughed again. “Hahaha... I told you, didn't I? I'm better than you.”
