Jayden leaves the hotel with Caitlin. The girl picked him up as soon as Tiger took Alex away. They promised to meet at the reservoir. Jayden did not bother to offer to replace Caitlin driving.

In the car, the girl had already removed her helmet and bulletproof vest. She was still wearing all-black clothes with simple makeup and hair tied in a ponytail. Jayden sat at the side after putting his things behind.

“Long night,” murmured Jayden while closing the door.

They use the exact same SUV that Tiger and Alex are currently in. Both have the same communication system and weapons. Slightly better than other ICPA service cars. Jayden himself added various knickknacks there. He can activate or turn off features as he pleases. The car can be in his control whenever he wants.

Caitlin sighs. “Tell me about the boy!”

Jayden picked up his tiny contraption that he now calls Flipad - blame Alex for this. His eyes looked at several indicators. His hand rubbed his chin while muttering softly. “He's alive, that's for sure.”

“That's not what I mean.” Caitlin shook her head as she ran the car into the highway. “Wear your seat belt, J!”

Jayden according. “You should know better than me. Dragon Blood is your experiment. You should understand this search better than me, even Alex. That's your toy.”

Caitlin opened her mouth, but clenched her back without saying anything.

Jayden throws a smile. “You're restless. I totally get it. Not because you care about that child or your experiments, but because you're one of the agents that's supposed to volunteer for the Dragon Blood transfusion. Alex took that chance from you and the other agents. Compared to them, you are the most excited, ‘kan?”

“Shut your mouth, Jayden!” Caitlin took the time to turn to the young man next to her and gave a sharp look. “That's all your fault!”

“You've said that repeatedly, Cait. Don't you get tired of blaming me?”

“You made the boy come to the reservoir and made him almost killed because of Dragon Blood. You said I was nervous. Sure was! I trained desperately to qualify as a Zetta Sonic volunteer. I was the only woman among the volunteers. I took a risk for Zetta Sonic.”

“Professor Otto banned you. You're his assistant. He did not want to lose an assistant. The risk is too high.”

“Well, you understand the problem. I had a long argument with the professor. When she finally agreed and Nadira announced four volunteers, I was ready. Very ready. Your snobbing results make everything fall apart. The fastest test is next month. That was also if the professor was quite sure Dragon Blood and the condition of his volunteers was stable. You messed up all the plans!”

Jayden chose not to answer. Everyone blamed him, even himself. He himself did know all the events that Caitlin had experienced. In his heart, he had even been waiting for when Caitlin would explode at him.

The girl is the only son of a former general. When he joined the ICPA, he expected a lot. He began his career as an agent. Because his brain was brilliant, the professor pulled him into an assistant. When they started developing Dragon Blood, Caitlin thought of posing as a guinea pig. Nadira forbids because he wants at least the trials of people other than himself. Caitlin awaits. He awaits a long process of selecting volunteers secretly.

Because Nadira has not been willing to announce the existence of Zetta Sonic to other ICPA members, the election took longer. Caitlin waited faithfully. Nadira decides who the chosen ones are. Nadira chose Caitlin anyway because of her readiness. After all, choosing someone in their operation would guarantee a more secretive secret. At least, that was Nadira's mind.

Jayden contrary. He was pretty sure that Caitlin was not the right person. For him, Alex is probably more worthy of him mentally and in the mindset, not physically. At least, the physical can still be trained. Jayden thought Caitlin was desperately trying to volunteer not for Zetta Sonic but for herself.

“Why silence!?” Caitlin glared at him for a moment just returning a gaze to the street. “Taste of guilt? Too late! All has already happened.”

Jayden gave a long sigh. “Nadira cut my salary for six months due to yesterday's accident case. At least he didn't make Tiger beat me. Now, you're cursing. I thought, my punishment is complete.”

“You know, J? You're actually smart. But you are too selfish. You consider all this a game. If you're a little more serious, maybe your sister's still alive.”

“Hei!” Jayden snapped back. “That problem has nothing to do with you.”

“If we're talking about mistakes, I'm not the only one making mistakes here. You are clearly breaking the rules. Good thing I was kind and didn't report your actions.”

“What do you mean!?”

“Do not think I do not know if you tell all the secrets of Zetta Sonic to your girlfriend. His name is Baron, ‘kan?” Jayden spoke as he stared fixedly at Caitlin's face. He liked how Caitlin's lips trembled and her forehead wrinkled fast. “Nadira does not want this operation to be discovered. You even told it blatantly to your boyfriend. It can go in an act of treason, you know.”

“Exploitation! You spied on me!?” Caitlin yells.

“Blame Nadira! I'm responsible for the technology and information circulating in the Zetta Sonic operation. It's only natural that I spy on all of you.”

All the.

Except for himself.

Jayden can act freely there. Previously, while still at the ICPA, Jayden had a superior. The boss has a supervisor and so on. They watch each other. At the Zetta Sonic operation, the only supervisor is Nadira. Jayden can hide certain things from Nadira. This is one of them.

Jayden reads every text message Caitlin sends to her boyfriend. He knows the phone schedule, dates, and watches them. She knows that they are engaged and are getting married soon when Caitlin tells Nadira they are still dating. Jayden knew that Baron was a young and successful businessman. Despite repeatedly asking Caitlin to quit the ICPA, Caitlin insisted on staying.

After their heated argument, Caitlin fell silent.

Jayden himself did not want to continue. She's tired. There were still many things on his mind and many things to be done. The only consolation on that night was that they managed to thwart the poison gas formula transaction, Nikola was arrested, even though Oliver was killed. Putting aside Alex, Nadira will be quite satisfied with the result. Jayden had to write a report as soon as that night.

Amidst the silence, a soft clinking sound was heard from the earphones. Both Jayden and Caitlin still use theirs. All are connected to the headquarters as the center.

Jayden said first, “What?”

[Where are you guys?] Tiger is heard across.

“Stuck in traffic,” replied Jayden of origin.

[Then fly!]

Tiger's words were nothing more than a joke. Tiger knows that Jayden hasn't finished modifying their car to fly. Jayden was not even sure he could fulfill Nadira's request. With other ICPA members, it may be possible. He was alone was clearly impossible. Even so, Jayden understood something was wrong.

“There's a problem, Tiger?”

[There are some items you need to fix and Caitlin is needed in the lab. Pretty soon.]

“What happened?”
