ZETTA SONIC'S

Third Arc: The Wreak Havoc

Even though he has repeatedly run missions and do intensive training, all that does not necessarily make Alex become immune to boxing and bullets. Even in the state of having Dragon Blood and being protected by combat uniforms, Alex did not want to be attacked. He had to run from the attack if he didn't want to get hurt. Especially if the conditions are not supportive such as sewers in the capital. The air is humid, the temperature is unfriendly, the air is sickening, not to mention the disgusting color of the water. A very unsuitable place for the only son of a top actress.

Alex doesn't want to fight there. He just wanted to leave the place immediately.

I've been back abroad again, somewhere. Alex didn't pay much attention when his mother said goodbye. No more. In the past, he was always waiting for news from his mother, considering which country the mother would visit, as well as the various events on her schedule. Now, Alex wasn't even sure she could swallow all of mom's words. He doubted all the truth just as much as when he doubted father.

Alex clucked in annoyance, driving out distractions regarding his family. He was in the middle of a mission. His body was covered in combat uniforms. His feet hit a small street on the edge of a waterway. Narrow and slippery. Moss grows between one stone with other stones that form the road. Slipping is one thing, falling into dirty water is obviously another. The existence of the Zetta Sonic in the sewer at midnight was not his idea. Blame Emil. His idea. According to Emil, the perfect escape route always passes underground.

Sonic's hand touched the metal cylinder hanging on his belt. He did not want to let the cylinder loose and then slumped into the water. That was the main reason why this mission existed from the very beginning. The cylinder had a fake money plate.

At first, Alex thought it would be the most peaceful mission he had ever undertaken. There was no problem when he infiltrated and stole the plate. It's just a regular house on the outskirts of town. The workers had gone home while two guards were watching the ball game. Alex didn't even have to use smoke bombs to sleep through them.

Turns out he was wrong. The way out of the place is not as easy as the entry. When exiting the back door, Alex found that there was a middle car light on him. It was pure coincidence. He was caught by one of the workers who missed the goods.

Alex ran straight to the backyard. The sloping ground is connected to the door to the sewer. Now, he turns himself in to Jayden and Emil's guide from the dam's headquarters. They should've led Alex to Tiger.

Alex glanced to the right and left sides. His eyes monitor the movement in the helmet. Green lines follow the direction of his eyeballs. His function as a monitor so that he knows which way to run. If not for the helmet, he would have lost his way.

Nope.

Errata. If there were no helmets and combat uniforms, he would not even be willing to escape through the underground channels. The filtered helmet design manages to withstand most of the pungent odors that accompany its journey.

[There's a crossroad in front of you, stay straight.] Jayden's voice was heard in the helmet. Very clear. Together with Emil, Jayden made many innovations including their communication technology.

After Jayden gave a warning, Alex sped up. And, as soon as he arrived at the end of the road, Alex found the moat spread four meters wide. Swimming is definitely not an option. Alex has to jump. He knows he can do it. With Dragon Blood, it was easy. Even so, as much as possible, Alex wanted to avoid using that power.

Last time, there was an awkwardness in him due to Dragon Blood. Before professor Otto could explain himself, Alex chose to rely on ICPA technology rather than the experiments that now flow in his blood.

Alex paused for a moment then turned to the back. He wondered if his pursuers could get there as well. It didn't take long, he could see a group of black-clothed adults approaching. They each carried long guns. There's only one man carrying another weapon, a bazooka.

[Sorry to look back?] Jayden's voice sounded again.

“I didn't hear anything about bazooka,” Alex replied fiercely.

[I also. Looks like they've got better gear than we thought. Just think, with all that counterfeit money, they could buy anything including bazookas and ammunition.]

“Bazooka can damage this plate. Don't they think that far?” Without wasting any time, Alex ran again. Behind him, the men shouted cursing. They swore to find a large trench. It made them have to twist and lose themselves.

Alex was pretty sure that they wouldn't bother looking for a detour. Alex knew the bazooka bearer was about to shoot. They will do whatever it takes to get back the plates that Zetta Sonic stole from their machines.

Justright. The sensors inside Alex's helmet capture the movement of sound. Immediately, the windshield helmet showed a warning of an attack from behind. All identified in full. Type of bazooka, the size of the bullet, until how long before the shot reaches him. The time discussed here is clearly in seconds.

“J! Shelter?”

[Negative. It's a one-way street.]

“Sial!”

Alex stopped too. He turned towards the bazooka bullet. There's only a few seconds. He had a stupid idea that required a high degree of time accuracy. Alex closed his eyes. The Dragon Blood within him reacted. The lightning came again in his view.

In a split second, everything slowed down in Alex's sight. The bazooka bullets that were pointing at him were also the reaction of his pursuers. Alex took advantage of that moment to knock himself on the ground. A huge bazooka bullet floated straight past his head. A new explosion occurred when a bullet hit a wall at the end of the passageway.

The pursuers waited for a moment, observing. A few seconds passed in silence. It was in complete contrast to the deafening sound of the explosion. To be sure, those people were forced to take a detour. They want to make sure the target is dead if they don't want themselves killed by the big boss.

A few minutes wasted when the men were twisting wasn't enough to make the smoke go away. When it reaches the point of explosion, people have to squint, look for their victims or the plate. However, they could only find the ruins of the walls on the wet streets. The smell is not inviting. Black charred scars were seen everywhere. They get the expected destruction but do not find their thief.
