The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
One Six

Their submarine is fluttering in position. There was no significant movement, either from the Special Force or the missiles. Only sensors on board the ship tell them they've been targeted. If the missiles are released, the six will go directly to the small submarine they boarded.

“Please tell me that this submarine is equipped with a shield,” Tiger said.

Emil did not answer that question. “We have weapons. Multiple missiles.”

“Please tell me that our missile is that big.”

Alex gulps. He could see the muzzle of a missile that appeared to be almost half the size of their submarine. It is impossible that this submarine contains missiles that can match the six missiles. Not to mention, there are six missiles preparing in position. They are outnumbered and outnumbered.

“We can still maneuver, ‘kan? Running from all this?” ask Tiger again.

“With such close distance? Negative.”

“They haven't shot, Emil. Now is our chance!”

“Instead it. Why don't they shoot?”

None of the three men dared to speak anymore. They're unmoving. In front of Tiger, there was a weapon panel. He can fire missiles whenever necessary even if the results are in doubt. In front of Emil, there's a submarine control panel. He could bring them around even though his speed was not promising either. While in front of Alex himself, there are panels and screens. One of the lights nearby had just blinked.

“Transmission in,” Alex said.

In front of each of them, a hologram display appeared. It comes from the transmission of a message that just came in. A short message.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT ZETTA SONIC REALLY IS? GET IN.

“What kind of question is this?” Tiger responded first.

Finally, Emil. “The transmission did come from inside there,” Emil said pointing to the twin doors that were opening. He did not need to continue, the three realized that it was nothing more than a trap bait.

Tiger squinted his eyes. “He wants us to come in? Don't joke!”

“Not. I think he just wants the Zetta Sonic. So, we'll give it,” Alex said. Emil was about to move his ship, but Alex spoke first. “No. She wanted me. By ourselves. You guys wait here.”

“That's the dumbest idea I heard today!” Tiger protested. “Stop using us as backup! We are a team!”

Alex was surprised to hear everything Tiger said. Half his heart is happy, half is painful. He knew Tiger was right. Alex doesn't want to fight with anyone in those conditions. Whatever awaits him in there will give him an answer to Jayden's whereabouts.

Mediate a fight that can be sticking out at any time, Emil also touched the panel. “We don't know about that. Let's try.”

Just now that their submarine is moving slowly, there is movement among the missiles. Their muzzles also moved to adjust to the position of the submarine. The sound of the mechanism that changed it sounded so gripping. Small water bubbles appeared, providing other evidence that the missiles had just adjusted.

Tiger cursed at him and Emil could only sigh long.

Tiger folded his hands to the front of his chest while muttering.

Emil and Alex exchanged a glance. At the time, Alex knew clearly what his new operator was thinking. “It will work!”

“What?” Tiger demanded an answer.

“Let them think that Zetta Sonic goes in there.”

“How to?” ask Tiger. Then, he realized the answer to the question. “Wait! You brought a fake Zetta Sonic robot? Here?” Tiger finally laughed. “Then, let's deceive them!”

Just in case the opponent could see through the glass of their submarine, Alex pretended to come out of the control room door. In reality, he only used stealth mode and returned to sitting in his chair. This mode made Tiger and Emil unable to see it either. So, they gave a little time lag before Emil sent the Zetta Sonic robot out of the submarine.

“What do you think the missile will shoot your robot?” Tiger spoke softly as if afraid that their opponent would hear.

“Do not. He's too young to die.”

Alex flinched in his chair. The chair is quite comfortable. Big and soft. Unfortunately it couldn't help to calm Alex's heart. He was as anxious as the other two. If until the missile actually glides at them, Alex is not sure it can escape, let alone Emil and Tiger. He doesn't want to see people die anymore.

The next few minutes were full of tension. Emil can monitor what the robot sees through its screen. Alex and Tiger peeked in.

The robot went through a long, dark hallway. All parts are covered in sea water. There are pipes and a hallway structure. Most of these parts have been covered with rust or moss. There's no sound. Too quiet and dark. The light from the robot's helmet is also unable to highlight far let alone break the darkness. After diving far enough away, there appeared a shadow of light from above. Looks like the hallway is coming to an end.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the dead end aisle that awaited ahead.

Emil gasp. A huge shadow lunged in rapid speed. The robot's sensors detect it as a large fish, but the fish has no legs. The robot dodged quickly. There are thrusters on the legs that allow it to move quickly in water. Spontaneous, Alex glanced at Emil. He'll have his combat uniform equipped with the same features later.

The robot's sensors are back at work. The shape of the monster began to be recognized. Emil panels accept such shapes in silhouettes. Two front legs, two back legs, triangular head, thick tail. Length more than five meters. Faster and more agile. Other amphibian creatures. A predator anyway.

“We are in trouble,” Emil said.

“What?” Tiger looked worried. The question comes out in the form of a snapshot.

“Come, go!”

Emil did not wait for the response of his friends. He's taking their submarine away. Shocks happen too. Alex staggers, forcing her to hold on to Emil's chair. While Tiger survived by holding on to the handle that is on the submarine wall.

“You're crazy!?” Tiger protested.

The submarine is moving at maximum speed. The good news is that the missile did not go after them.

“What's up, Emil?” Alex asked me. His stealth mode had vanished, as had his helmet, leaving a complete uniform without a helmet. Alex took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. “You said we won't be able to run.”

“It's only a matter of time.” Emil speaking. His eyes were fixed forward.

“What do you mean?”

Alex got the answer right away. He saw the robot's vision was now replaced by a black screen with red writing. Their relationship with the robot has disappeared. The giant monster had already managed to destroy it. And, almost simultaneously, their radar roared again. The radar informed them of the arrival of six large yellow-tipped missiles.
