Ground's shaking. Alex had thought that he was so dizzy that he mistakenly thought the surroundings were moving. However, it was not due to dizziness. He realized how the circle he had touched was now glowing red as if there were eyes burning inside. The light does not stop there. Its light travels down every line and writing. Along with that, the ground started to move. Then, stop.
Not light. The light kept moving. When the carving ends at the lower end, the beam shows another carving on the ground. More precisely not the ground, but the stone floor. The beam lights a single line on the stone floor, then the stairs descend, another pillar, another floor, another staircase, and so on.
Alex was caught in his place. The monotonous forest was now filled with red light. He could see the pillars connected to each other, as well as the stone floor and stairs descending, until they were all covered by fog.
His heart is beating fast. This time it was not for fear. She's excited. Wonder what awaits him at the end. Alex had run before he realized. His feet stepped nimbly on the stone floor. The road kept bringing him down. The pillars lined up beside him like street lamps. For a moment, Alex even thought he was a treasure hunter. Especially after he saw what was on the other end.
Alex stopped in his position. He saw a small building with a gate the size of its wall. Made of the same stone as the floor is also decorated with lines that are fluorescent. He also saw another pillar in the distance that gathered together into one on the building. It seems that the pillars have far-flung ends. Everyone leads to the small building.
Alex hesitated to walk further. And this time, it was the right decision.
There was a strange cold. Source's clear. The animal again. Alex saw the animal that attacked him. Their slender figure with a unique tail that has a sharp part. Alex realized. The animal is not alone. This time, he's in a group. There was at least one animal peering from the adjacent pillars.
Alex realized something else. He saw a large circle on top of the building for some reason reminiscent of the stone pendulum that Gavin had brought. The same pendulum that stung him with just a touch. It's green. What if the light that shimmers is not red but green?
What if the one they call damned has touched the pillar? Then, those animals are his guards and he's his intruder? So, whatever was behind the building must be something precious. The thing Kloster wanted to protect and didn't want to be found by the intruders. He has to get ahead.
Just like him, the animals thought the same. They ran at Alex while making a shrill sound. It made Alex tiptoe even for a little while. His eyes rolled from the animals to the buildings that were there. He also clenched his hands. It's too late to back off.
Alex ran without caring about the animals running at him. He'll be safe once he gets in there, Alex thought. When one of the animals lunges, Alex dodges nimbly. He's using. The Power of Dragon Blood.
The second animal jumped at him. Alex is back again. But then the first animal came back. He bit off the edge of Kloster's weaving shirt. Seeing one of his friends stop the intruder's movement, the other animals arrive quickly. Alex rebelled. The weaving cloth that covered his body was torn apart. Alex doesn't care. No matter how loud the animal shouted, its intention to advance did not recede at all.
When another animal tries to bite his hand, Alex steps forward. He kicked the stomach of the animal, got rid of it easily. Getting into a few animals at once is troublesome. Alex has trouble defending himself from injury. He's outnumbered. While facing one animal, the other will attack. One of them managed to bite Alex's left hand.
Alex screams in pain. His blood splashed to the floor. The pain made him angry. The more angry, the view around him grew greener. He had used the power of Dragon Blood to gain the speed and power of a punch. He retaliated for every attack he got. He also managed to hit the head of the animal that bit him. The bite also slipped. The animal slammed and did not move again on the ground.
Little by little, Alex managed to push forward. The cloth on his shoulder was no longer in shape. Almost every side had been torn apart by the attacks of the animals.
Then, the time came. Alex saw one of the animals open his mouth. A blue glow appeared there with the cold. Alex swore to see a whirl of air around his mouth. Stunned, Alex even too late to avoid. The attack glided smoothly in the air. Alex refuses, but the attack grazes his cheek.
Cold and sharp. When Alex felt her cheeks, she felt something wet there. The smell of rust smelled and the taste filled his head again. The thirst for blood. Someone or something has to pay for his anger.
Alex ran at the animal that had just attacked him. Welcoming, the animal also attacked. The animal opened its mouth again. Ice attacks in the air. Alex dodged even though the attack hit his shoulder, making ice flowers pop on the woven cloth. With a slight bow, Alex caught his opponent's jaw. He gripped tightly at the hairy body before slamming it to the ground. Dust and ice floes flew when the animal hit the ground.
Some other animals that were close let out low sounds. They're starting to get scared. Some insist on going forward. Seeing that there were still from their herd running at Alex, the animals chose to quietly observe.
Alex took them down one by one. He pulled the closest animal from her and threw it at the other animal. Before there was another ice ray strike, Alex caught his muzzle. The light splashed from between the fangs. Those black eyes met Alex's green eyes. There is regret in the eyes of the animal. He should be quiet like his friends. Be late. Alex threw the body away, rolling on the stone steps, damaging the edges, and stopping far away from them.
Alex hurriedly turned around. He found another animal that tried to tear him from behind. But now the animal is shaking. Together with his herd, this animal growls slowly. Alex realizes that their voice is inferior to his own. Humans don't growl like that. However, another story with dragons. From the reflection of the animal's eyeballs, Alex found that his self reflected there was not a figure he used to meet in the mirror.
