Alex wakes up again in the sound of rain. For a moment, he thought that he had woken up from a dream. Then, he realized that he was still in the same room. The room is white with lights in the form of green lines. It seems like he is still trapped in a dream. Because according to his memory, the place was in the basement. They will not feel the rain there.

Alex tried to move, but his body was too tired to react.

“What is bothering you? Let me shut it down.” Jayden's voice sounded from the other side of the room. After the same click, the rain stopped. “I installed a fake window with a screen. It's good to forget for a moment if we're underground.” Jayden spoke as if he could read Alex's mind.

Alex awaits.

“I shouldn't have let you wake up.” Jayden sighed as he approached. “Doctor Vanessa is tearing all out at me. Nadira. You sleep all day like a dead man.”

Alex slipping. Sleeping all day is very long. Surprisingly, he did not feel refreshed at all. He's still feeling tired. This time, no breathing apparatus was attached there, just an infusion. His breathing was fine, only his body was hard to move.

Jayden took a chair, sat down by the bed. “Good, so slow down. You still remember what I told you yesterday, ‘kan?”

Alex opened his mouth to respond, but no sound came out of his mouth when he wanted to answer. Alex nodded slowly.

“You want to go home?” ask Jayden.

Jayden's sudden question took Alex by surprise. On the one hand, he wanted to deny. His house is nothing more than a luxurious building. On the other hand, Alex was really hoping to sit in his computer chair, accompanied by Rover and snacks, listening to Mrs nagging. Bellsey, and meet Preston. This place is so different. He did not even know how long it had passed and what had happened.

“Six days have passed since your arrival here. Nadira sends a message to your supervisor if you join some kind of camp or something. No one is texting or looking for you,” Jayden said as he stared fixedly at the boy's face. Jayden can read Alex's mind.

Alex avoids Jayden's gaze. The statement was definitely not something that surprised him. Nor was it something he wanted to hear. Alex gathered his strength to speak. This time, his voice came out. “You speak so that I will obey your will or you want to fake my death?”

“Not both. I was just wondering if you knew about it.” yet

“You know nothing about my family.”

“You showed everything, Alex. But, I agree. There must still be things that are not listed in data.”

“What exactly do you want to say?”

“Try a little open. Tell me about yourself. Doctor Vanessa says mental condition also affects physical condition. I can take you home once your condition improves. It could be tomorrow, next week, or next year. Depends on how fast your condition recovers.” Jayden throws a knotty smile. “You don't miss your house?”

Alex looked at the young man. “You make me feel worse.”

“Sorry, about my bad habits. I like to show off the data I got.” Jayden continued, “I'm trying to be your friend, as Doctor Vanessa suggested. You yourself also had time to ask if I am on your side, ‘kan? I'm on your side, Alex. So, is there anything I can do to make you feel lighter? Rain sound, maybe?”

Alex turned. His eyes found the window that Jayden was referring to. The screen filled a full wall. There, the screen shows wall-lined wallpaper and windows with a view of twilight from a height.

“I don't understand my own body,” Alex said. “I feel tired. Real tired. Is that normal?” Alex asked.

“Iya. In theory, Dragon Blood was energy hungry. We feed it with electricity, think of it like charging a cell phone. Well, if that electrical energy was depleted, Dragon Blood would take its host energy to eat. Its current host is-”

“I? You want to say I'm like a walking phone now?”

“Yes. Less more.”

Jayden laughed. “Alright, that's not a term I'm going to use. But I think you're starting to understand what that means. We charge Dragon Blood energy in the generator room. You wouldn't know how much electricity we use. His bills always make Nadira cringe. That's why we chose this place. Nadira built his own power plant using water. At least it could reduce the bill.”

“How many times have you taken me there?”

“Generator room? Twice. This will be the third.”

“You want to take me there again?”

“Iya. Professor Otto is making you some kind of device, some kind of watch. Later we can see the energy indicator there. Do not pass out because you are running out of energy. We better fill it regularly.”

“You said that mental state can affect physical condition. That means the same as Dragon Blood, too, ‘kan? Did I destroy something when you guys took me to the generator room?”

Jayden gawking for a second. Then, he shook his head and chuckled. “You can guess it, huh? The first time we took you there, the generator room was almost destroyed. Probably because we have too much electricity. We really forced him to reach the maximum power.”

“Why?”

“Because the dose of Dragon Blood you have in you should be for three or four people. You got the picture, ‘kan?”

Alex took a long sigh. “Serious?”

“Due to the incident of that time, we added additional safety and increased its maximum power. When we took you there for the second time, the room wasn't destroyed. But, the computer that controls is roasted out.”

“I'm like a complete shredding robot.”

“Don't make yourself feel worse, Alex. Now, think of something fun or something that calms you down. If your mental state is stable, there should be no more damage there. We hope so.”

Alex fell silent. His mind floated to the father who was not so foreign to the mother who always brought him souvenirs. He was sad when the memories came. Usually Alex will run away by playing games or going out with friends. Sometimes they swim together, play basketball, or dance. Activities that make him sweat.

Mrs. Bellsey supports him to play music to relieve stress. He went to piano lessons because of it. Alex did not enjoy it much. Instead, he was stressed every time he practiced the piano. Rather than sitting face to face with the black and white keys, he would rather tease his brown-breasted black dog.

“So?” Jayden breaks Alex's daydream. “There's something you want? Favorite food? Favorite song? Or, you want to play the game first?”

“No. But I did think of something. Maybe if Rover was here, I'd be calmer. She's been with me since childhood.”

“Wait a minute. A rover? Your dog? The rottweiler?”

“Iya. You guys won't let me bring a friend here, ‘ right? Rover's my friend and not a human. So it should be safe.”

“Your dog is like a hellhound. He smashed your mother's expensive bag when she was only a few months old. He bit your old supervisor's hand for scolding you. He also destroyed the park while chasing thieves and biting his leg until it was almost amputated.”

“You also have the crime data? I'm impressed.” Alex raised both eyebrows. “Originally know it, that's exactly what makes him the perfect friend and keeper.”

“If not the generator room is destroyed, the dog will destroy the other room.”

“Maybe. So, what did you say?”
