The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Capsules

When Alex got into the reservoir, he had been expecting danger. Far away before, he had even thought of what he could do in anticipation. Of course other than her specially ordered clothes and weapons, she had to prepare another one.

Alex observed the surveillance cameras mounted on the corners of the hallway. It may be appropriate to keep an eye on the workers but not to cope with intruders. Of course they do not expect the presence of intruders in normal reservoirs. This is another case. As Alex walked, he found that the passageway he entered was too bright for the size of the old reservoir to be unused.

The anxiety in his heart increased. If he wanted to run now, it would be too late. It's not a game anymore. It's something serious. Alex thought back to his father. The last time they met was late last year. He doesn't remember anything they did because they did almost nothing together other than eating dinner and shopping for a new game console.

What did my father expect of him? Good value, maybe. What did Alex expect from his father? Time, maybe. The thought disturbed his concentration. Know-how, from him found out that it had strayed far from the location of all. Alex has recorded the coordinate point where the virus was sent. Unfortunately, those coordinates only indicate a horizontal position. He had to figure out for himself on what floor the virus was coming from or rather the virus-sending computer.

Certainly not upstairs. It was all learned in movies and games. Secret facilities always have basements. Always was. This place is not. Not visible. At least there is no data on the Internet. But that doesn't mean this place doesn't have a basement. The door must be hidden somewhere.

Alex is now at the coordinates he got. The computer must be under his feet. Now, just how could he find the door to the basement. He recalled the message sent earlier. The message said something about the number eight.

Alex returned through the same hallways. Everything is gray with a little moss on the bottom. The lighting is again too bright. The lights are not all lit, but every hallway must be illuminated. As far as Alex knows, the lights will usually be extinguished if they are no longer used. Except, the host had indeed been waiting for him.

The non-tile floor felt bad in the shoes. The doors look similar. Pale blue with plastic parts to slip the name of the room. There is only one door that has a name that is ‘Janitor’. Others are just plain doors. His heart thumped when he found it was at the end of the hall.

The hallway is now replaced by a giant doorless alley. He heard the roar of the machine mixed with the water slowly. The alley is so wide and high. On one side, there were eight levers, not a door. The number is exactly eight. It makes Alex more convinced that the place is inhabited. Of the eight levers, there was one lever slightly cleaner than the other as if the lever was indeed used.

At that moment, Alex felt his neck feel cold. He's being watched! Anyone watching him at this moment was planning badly. Worse, that person was heading towards his position. He heard heavy footsteps. Something that should not be heard unless it is heard. That person intentionally did it to make her tremble.

And, it worked.

Alex avoids contact as much as possible. He only needs to find his father or the sender of the virus or his father who is also the sender of the virus. All possible. Alex turns around, runs to his original path, approaching a point that is safe enough to avoid the surveillance cameras.

There, he picks up a cell phone, checks the surveillance cameras that he has also hacked. Alex saw a large figure walking from the side of the wall. Dare to bet, the door is close. Besides, Alex realized that it wasn't the guy who was watching her. If the guess is correct, there's another security system here.

The reservoir security system is too old-fashioned. Thinking about the amount of money that was at stake here, they could definitely do more. Unfortunately, Alex has no idea what the system is like. But, the person who was coming to him must have understood. That person will be the key to the hidden room in the reservoir. Alex's hand reached into the small black box on his belt. It's time to see who's smarter among them.

As the steps approached, Alex prepared. He knew that person would come directly to him. This is proof that someone is watching a surveillance camera. Justright. Alex saw a large figure standing nearby. It's almost two meters tall. His large muscles were unable to hide the dark green uniform. The scar on his head was attached like a medal, showing the rigors of the battle he had once been through.

“Killer Bee!” The big man mentioned his name in a low tone. It sounds more like a threat than a greeting.

Seeing that the man reached out to her, Alex hurriedly retreated. “I think there's a little misunderstanding here. I'm not Killer Bee. I'm just his man.”

His opponent smirked. “You're not an expert liar, are you?”

“Killer Bee told me to get him stuff. He said I should see Mark Hill.” Alex was trying to make himself look scared. When he mentioned that name, strangely, his voice shook for real. That's his father's name.

The big man himself tried not to be surprised when the name was mentioned but his eyes did not work well together. Alex sure saw his eyes grow bigger with the loss of a grin there. Alex's beliefs are right. Dad must have something to do with these people. Partners, clients, maybe even their boss.

“So, can I meet him?” Alex asked again.

“You came to the wrong place. No Mark Hill name here.”

“Consider so too.” Alex smiled behind the black veil that covered his face. His hand pulled something from his tiny box. In an instant, bursts of yellowish-green smoke filled the passageway.

Every fighter will use his instincts. Even in darkness or chaos, Alex has no chance of winning against such a big man. Therefore, the smoke is a mixture of drugs. It is shaped like a capsule. To activate it, Alex must pull the bulkhead between the two. He needed a bit of time while waiting for the two to mix. As it turns out, chatting with opponents is easier to do than originally thought.

“Now, who is not an expert liar?”

Alex could actually use a regular drug bomb. However, thinking that there might be an X-ray examination and avoiding the mistake of accidentally activating, he preferred the capsule. The veil she was wearing also doubles. Covering the face while filtering the air around it like a mask.

His smile spread again before the body of the large man lying on the ground. It feels funny and satisfying. Alex hastily disarms the enemy. He took a cell phone, a knife, a gun, a magnetic card, and a series of keys. Everything was done quickly before the greenish smoke subsided.

He checked the big guy's cell phone. As expected, there was another supervisory system in the reservoir. It seemed that the place had a hidden secret that the outside world wanted to hide. Alex needs a little modification if he wants to get into the basement. Fortunately, he had another trick with his shirt.

Alex believes anyone behind the surveillance camera will be flabbergasted when he sees himself suddenly vanishing from the view.
