The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Captives

Alex's car roared as it entered the runway. He stopped with a squeaking sound in the middle of the room. In front of him, there was a Tiger while carrying a long rifle. Not far behind him is Jayden and his robot. The faces of the two were clearly unhappy.

Alex got off first. Her hair was still neat, as were her clothes. The car's a little beret, but Jayden won't take it. He's fighting about something else.

“You brought him here?” jayden asked coldly and flatly.

Alex didn't see Emil there. Dare to bet that Emil is in the command room, preparing to launch an attack or take the necessary preventive measures because he took Caitlin with him.

“She's in danger.” Alex closed the car door.

Caitlin finally opened the door. The girl's dress wasn't as beautiful as it was a few hours before. There was a big tear in the thigh because it got stuck when running.

“Why am I not surprised to see you here?” Tiger threw his hand into the air. “You just ran away from your own girlfriend,” Tiger said as he turned to Caitlin, “and you instead took her inside the Special Force headquarters?” tiger nodded at Alex.

“I thought we agreed that we should help him,” Alex said. “He was injured.”

“Only abrasions.” Tiger grunting. “We tried to save you, boy. Not that girl. He shouldn't be here. Her boyfriend must be looking for her and we are the first place to suspect.”

“We're not kidnapping him.”

“This looks like a kidnapping.”

Caitlin who just came out from the other side of the car did not dare to look at anyone who was there. He caressed her arm, a little cold and scared. He had long since left the dam that became the headquarters of the Zetta Sonic. It all feels awkward. Tiger and Jayden who used to be with him are now no more than strangers. They do not want his presence.

Caitlin finally spoke. “Thank you for helping me, Alex. I'll call Baron so he doesn't panic.”

Jayden shook his head. In his hand was a tablet PC and behind him was a still-unnamed ICPA robot. “I'll try to explain this to Nadira. Hope he doesn't get heart disease because of this.”

“You think we can trust Caitlin again?” Tiger was still pointing his gun at Caitlin. “This could have been one of Baron's tricks to destroy Special Force.”

“No!” Caitlin immediately denied. “If I was on his side, why would I give the chip containing the data to you even take risks like that?”

Jayden doesn't stop there. “You left the party area when the dessert came. Wh why? Avoiding sweet foods?”

“No. The baron will go overseas by plane night. He should be back to the airport—“ immediately

“Then, you?”

“I said I'd be here to spend more time with friends. It's not the first time I've been left alone when the Baron had business in another city.”

“You split up after leaving the room?”

“Iya. I should've gone back to the hotel and she'd gone to the airport. Then, I saw Alex running out of the building. While there are gunmen there then—“

“You helped him?”

The girl in front of him threw her hand into the air. “Ya, right. I helped. Is there something wrong with that? Alex didn't see any gunmen in the car. I saw it.”

“Alex is Zetta Sonic. He can handle this. We were with him too. You think we can't help her?”

“What's your goal then? Why did you help Alex?” Jayden stepped closer. The robot stepped in so as not to be left behind. His firm movements showed a sturdy material and a soft grunting sound showed the robot in a state of alert.

“Someone utilizes Baron, he is innocent.”

Caitlin's response spontaneously made Tiger sigh long and Jayden frowned. The girl in front of them still believed that the Baron was not the mastermind of everything.

“If there were a camera in the tunnel, I would show it to you, Caitlin,” Jayden said. “He confessed his deeds. He even threatened Alex by planting a bomb in his mother's room.”

“There must be an explanation behind it.”

“So, who created the herb?”

“I don't know, it's precisely because it's me here. I want to help you once again catch the mastermind—“

“To prove Baron's innocence?” guess Jayden.

“Yes, because he is indeed innocent.”

“Then why did you fake it all? You pretended to meet your friend just to give us a lead. If Baron is innocent, why don't you just tell him?”

“I think there are people who use Baron. The original mastermind behind all this watched us twenty-four hours. If I want to outwit him, I have to outwit the Baron first.”

Tiger was still clutching his weapon. “Say, Alex. Do you believe the theory Caitlin spoke of? You were in that tunnel with Jayden. You met the Baron. You see him and hear him. Do you think the Baron you met back then and the Baron who was at the party was the same person?”

“Ya.” Alex answered briefly.

Caitlin glared at him. “I thought you were on my side!”

“Ya,” reply Alex again. “I believe you did a good and right thing by giving us that data. I also want to believe that the Baron is good. But, what I saw in the tunnel back then, I'm sure it was Baron.”

“Then, why did you bring me here?”

“To save you!” hatch Alex. “Listen, I don't know which one is right. The only thing I know is that you will die if you are not saved. That'sallthatis. So, I brought you here. Don't make me sorry!”

Caitlin fell silent. Tiger is still on guard. Jayden scratched his head. He saw the incident that happened a while ago. Caitlin helps Alex and Alex saves Caitlin so she doesn't die. It is just instinct to help others. Jayden doesn't want to blame Alex. But, Caitlin's another story.

Jayden finally said again. “Alright, I'll call Nadira. Tiger, you keep an eye on Caitlin. Alex, you better get home. We will contact you if you get something.”

“This car will take me home?” guess Alex. “Good, J! Now you have two tasks. Named the ICPA killer robot and named the car.”

“We don't have a killer robot, Alex.”

“No, as long as he's in your control.

“Haha.. True.” Jayden laughed. He saw Alex waving before getting into the car. Slowly, the car spun around and left the base. Jayden sighed softly before turning around to head inside. The whisper was slow to myself, “Or, as long as I was still in control of ICPA.”
