Of course, Alex lost. Jayden has improved the simulation inside the training room. When the net shot out, Alex failed to dodge, sending him crashing to the ground until Jayden turned off all simulated drills. Two failures in a day is not something to be happy about. However, he kept his promise and invited Jayden to go with him to a top university in the capital. Greynia University.
The university has thousands of students, dozens of tall buildings in one complex, as well as expert teachers in every field. One of the most popular courses is robotics. No wonder that this university is always the target of famous companies.
Alex came there secretly. That is, he hid his arrival from his father and Preston. As usual, he used the excuse of playing with friends. I don't know why, the reason always works like magic.
Jayden picked up Alex at the shopping mall. Riding on a white hatchback, the two of them entered the highway.
“I do not know that ICPA has a low profile car like this,” Alex said. He looked back, observing that the car was holding a surprise. In the second row, Alex only found a leather seat like the one he was sitting in and Emil who was sleeping while wearing a headset.
“Sorry to disappoint.” Jayden threw a smile, as if he could guess the child's mind. “ICPA has many facilities. This car is one of them. Initially, the Special Force had no access to it until Nadira decided to reveal its existence to another ICPA. Now, we have access to everything. Call it like a car, plane, laboratory, bunker, arsenal, even hospital.”
“Uh-huh. Seized cars?” guess Alex.
Jayden let out a short sigh, not liking it when Alex could guess right.
“So,” Alex continued, “why are you interested in this kind of exhibition if you already have access to all ICPA research?”
“Good question! Students usually have a raw idea. We can usually get inspiration from them.”
“You stole their idea.”
“Together with people. But, of course it depends as great as what their idea is.”
“Wait! You recruited them into ICPA?”
“Kore or less.”
They arrived in front of the university before the clock showed at eleven p.m. The event was held at the Expo building. The ceiling of the building is so high. The extent need not be described. As far as the eye could see, they could see flags hanging with university symbols complete with slogans along with the name of the event.
All three blend easily. Jayden wore a black blazer, making her look like a real model. Some girls failed to hold back from looking at him. Emil, on the other hand, looks like a nerd who just came out of a basement somewhere. He was wearing a long jacket with a hood always covering his head. Alex himself was wearing a shirt under a dark blue jacket. The size is normal, not as long as Emil's knee-length.
Alex could hear a group of young people gasping at the robot projects on display. He and his colleagues are ordinary. If you've never seen a killer robot roam, maybe Alex will be the same.
Not far from their current standing, there was a white-colored robot. His head was round, his hands were shaped exactly like a human, his legs were a single wheel, his own body was only a single peg. Nothing special about him. The robot moved back and forth while occasionally circulating its gaze.
“ICPA got the better of it,” whispered Emil.
They began walking down the alley formed between the rows of exhibition stands. Every student has the same size. Each booth uses tape as a barrier attached to the floor. The white walls are thin while giving the impression of space for each booth.
So far, Alex has only found one interesting object among the many items there. The item is a wide disc similar to a plate. Its function is to reduce gravity. This means that any object that is above the disk will lose its gravitational power. This makes it able to float like an astronaut on the moon.
As they move to the next booth, Alex feels himself being distracted. Something or someone is watching them. Every time he gave a glance, he found no suspicious person at all. Maybe it was just his feeling. Surprisingly, as they continued on, Alex still felt it.
“J, just my feelings or someone following us?” alex whispered while likening his steps to Jayden. He refrained from looking back when he spoke. “If it's one of the girls who become your impromptu fans, it's very not funny.”
“Fans what?” Jayden glanced at the child beside him without moving his head.
Alex sighs. Tiger's right. Sometimes Jayden does not realize that he has a special attraction for women. Alex ignored him. Unfortunately, instead of feeling that the feeling disappeared, Alex actually felt that the feeling was becoming more and more. He even began to memorize the people around him. If the scout wears regular clothes, Alex will notice. But he found nothing.
“Emil, you also don't feel it?” alex asked who was only answered with a shrug. Wrong questions to the wrong people.
“Quiet, Alex.” Jayden pat Alex on the shoulder. “Maybe you've been on the field a lot lately. No one knows who you are, remember? If you see anything suspicious, just say it. Jason is here.”
“Jason?” Alex thinks he heard wrong.
“In car luggage. I can call him anytime.”
“After forcibly damaging the luggage?” guess Alex, feeling amused
“They won't mind no holes in the trunk as long as everything is safe.”
Alex knows the theory. So far no one other than the Special Force members knows who he is. On the other hand, he knew that secret agents like himself could be the target of criminals. Jayden himself once said that he was always vigilant. Unfortunately, the theory and state of the field are often different.
They continued on their way, down every hallway, observing interesting objects. Jayden asked permission to take pictures of objects that interest him. Emil chose to take notes on his smart phone. Alex must be honest not to enjoy his visit. Blame instincts.
Alex still feels riled up even when they are at the end. Again, his eyes swept the room. Nothing is suspicious. Everyone around them is constantly changing. Doesn't look the same person that was close. The position of the surveillance cameras was high above, it was only natural that someone was watching them from there. The camera obviously doesn't count.
Jayden led his comrades out of the hall.
Alex turned around once more. “Maybe I was too much on the field and you guys were too long behind the table,” whispered almost silently.
