The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Above

Something came from above. Alex doesn't need to be told to dodge. He jumped forward. A giant spider was in its standing position earlier. His body is larger than the spider Alex usually fights. The color is also brighter. Usually bluish black in color, this spider is dark blue with bright green stripes. Were it not for the help of his uniform, Alex would have even said the spider glowed in the dark.

[Stop him!]

Alex had already pulled out the gun just as his opponent threw the net. Alex's shot hit the net. He hurriedly blurred as the spider leaped forward again. His opponent's movements were also more agile. From his mouth, it still dripped a thick yellow liquid.

“Please tell me that he is not toxic.”

[So far, researchers have found no poison in his body.]

“Good!”

Alex fired a streak of shots. The laser shot failed to return due to the spider web spray. His opponent this time was not only bigger, more striking, and nimble but also smart and aggressive. The opponent is obviously not looking forward to Alex's next attack. The creature ran fast on the opponent.

Alex looked. He fired a hook on the beam. If there's anything else he learned during practice, it's about the straps. When the strap is stuck on something, the bracelet will pull the shooter in the hook position. Once there, the hook will immediately come off unless the shooter presses the button on his bracelet. It works well in combat.

Alex's body was thrown over the spider. All those net shots none of them touched him. Alex is much faster even when he's in the air. When his eyes saw that there was no more net-throwing, Alex had a chance. He shot again. That laser shot destroyed the opponent in an instant. Like a needle-pierced water balloon. Before the yellow liquid rained down on him, the new Alex landed straight away. Although hate to admit, Jayden's training module provides many theoretical foundations for practice in the field.

[That's a good move.] Jayden praised. [But I think you should know that you can jump on it without the need to wear a hook. With that Dragon Blood and combat uniform, your jump can be very high.]

Alex doesn't want to admit that he didn't think that far. He simply replied, “Just want to try this hook again. Get used to.”

[One of the goals of this exercise is to familiarize yourself with ICPA technology and monsters. Tiger added, he also said it is good to train instincts. In my opinion, it is to train the speed of thinking in the midst of a crisis.]

Alex nodded. “Speaking about the crisis, Jayden, I have a guest. Two.”

[I saw it. Judging from the size and color, it seems like this is a spider that you are used to fighting. This type is pretty stupid, ‘kan?]

“Stupid? Can they think?”

Alex grunts amusedly. He fired two consecutive shots. One shot hit the opponent's head, killing him in an instant. One more shot just hit the leg, making it fall. Even so, the spider still had time to throw the web. Alex dodged easily. His hand opened fire, killing the second spider.

[Three falls, the rest two. You've only been walking for a few minutes. Too easily?]

“You can see what I see. The female spider can count. These two? Forget it.” Alex looked up through the void. He could hear a close rumbling sound within the faint sound of rain. “There's suggestion?”

[Follow your instincts. You seem to have an idea.]

“Actually, I do have an idea. How about you put a rocket in this uniform so I can fly up. It seems like it would be much more practical than wearing a hook strap. Ribet.”

[But, because of the hook, I have video footage of a funny Zetta Sonic landing on the floor. Nadira even laughed when he saw her.]

“Shut up!”

Although Alex does not like the bracelet, Alex must appreciate the distance and speed of the pull. With that hook, he could even reach ten floors at once. Just now, Alex used it again, jumping five floors until reaching the fifteenth floor. The tools work well.

There were some red taps behind him. Not from the eyes, but the blink of an hour that continues to decrease from the number thirty.

“They used a real bomb!?” guess Alex.

[Stop the spiders now!]

“If I miss, the bomb will explode.”

[Take him away!]

Easier said than done. Alex could easily get his opponent's attention. That did not mean his opponent would move as he pleased. This spider shoots a net without budging from its position. Alex just ran around in circles.

He also took one large stone. Throw the stone with all his might. Wrong timing. The spider was throwing a spider web. Instead of being hit, the stone was wrapped in a sticky net.

Alex clucked in annoyance. “OK, enough.” His hand took out a laser gun.

[Hey, I thought you wouldn't shoot him.]

“It was so. Now another. I don't want to be played with an eight-legged creature like him!” Alex aiming. In an instant, his calm returned. His eyes were fixed straight on the opponent.

His opponent doesn't know what's going to happen. When the net again shot out, a green ray came. The light hit the head. The spider was destroyed even before its web had completely come out. Alex took a deep breath. For a moment, he thought his attack would miss, apparently not.

Jayden grunting. [Seeing your shot like that, I felt like you were just playing a show when you didn't want to shoot for fear of missing it. Tell me, Sonic, are you practicing outside the modules I gave you?]

Alex does not deny. “Only if I have free time.”

[Sobbishly.] Jayden giggles. [Don't worry, after this, you won't have any free time. Nadira just sent a message. A special mission for the Zetta Sonic. You will meet an old opponent.]

“Hey, don't I still have one more spider to kill?”

[Yes, that's why I said after this, ‘kan.]

“OK, okay. Last time, what do you mean by old-” friends

DUARR!!!

Alex did not even finish his sentence when he heard a loud explosion. The building is shaking. Debris fell from above with dust strewn. Alex gave a glance. Black smoke and charred smell carried by the night wind. The explosion did not come from nearby but on top of it.

“It ... not because of me, ‘kan?” Alex glanced at the bomb that was still running nearby. “Can I defuse this bomb?”

[Disarming bombs? That's not the purpose of the exercise. Just ignore. And .. If I see from my position, I see an explosion from the top of the building. It might be the twenty-second floor or the surroundings.] Jayden sounded doubtful. [Do you think our last spider blew itself up or what?]

“I choose the first. Hopefully that's what happened.”
