The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Bruises

On a different side of the city, there was a location deep underground. This place is filled with various advanced equipment in a layer of refrigerated plastic walls. Like refrigerator. But this refrigerator is a giant. Can load various types of rooms and hundreds of people at once. The problem, for one reason or another, is that there are only two people in the computer room today.

The room was white. The lighting is felt from a power-saving lamp arranged in the form of a series of bluish lines. There was almost nothing in the room other than a long paneled table and a touch sail. They do not need a physical monitor. The side of the wall across from the computer desk itself is the screen.

A young man was sitting at the computer table. His thin smile must have made college girls his age gasp. If not for his disheveled curly hair also bruised on the left cheek, maybe he will even be chosen to decorate the cover of the magazine. He typed something and the screen in front of them changed. A bunch of one-eyed black ducks roaming around there. Soon, they turned into a series of numbers and letters.

“Come, Killer Bee, reply me!” The young man squinted at the screen, as if he could face the hacker with the symbol of a bee. His hands were folded on the table, waiting. His fingers were clinging to each other as if praying.

The big man beside him sneered. “I don't really understand what you're playing, Jayden. Will something appear on the screen?” His body was much stronger than that of Jayden, the young man. If Jayden wore a high-necked white jacket over a gray T-shirt, he wore a uniform like a dark green soldier. His hair was cut flat, revealing a three-legged, claw-like scar on his left forehead. A 9mm gun hung on his right belt. In most battles, he did not need to use it. His hands are deader than his pistol.

Jayden looked at him. “I expect the appearance of knights in armor.”

“As in game?”

“Persis, Tiger. The Killer Bee stole the data to the wrong account. Whoever he is, must be currently grumbling because of the dragon children I sent him.”

“You mean, duck?”

Jayden smiled amusedly. “The ugly ducklings that will incarnate into fire-wasting dragons. If he is not fast, surely at this time all the data on his computer has vanished into ashes.”

Tiger rubbed his chin overgrown with a thin beard. Not sure what Jayden was talking about. “But, if it can hack our system, it means he's smart-”

“No,” said Jayden quickly while moving on the swivel chair, turning directly to the guard. “I'm smarter than him. I know what game he's playing and I can infiltrate his system. I can even send a more powerful virus and destroy all its data if I want.”

“But?” Tiger continued, as if he already knew what the follow-up was.

“But... It's more fun.”

“You want him to reply.”

“He will reply. I know.” Jayden's smile returned. “Killer Bee himself considers this a game. I'm sure he accidentally activated the game Drake and His Land to distract.”

“Drake and what?”

“That's a game that's popular among teenagers right now.”

“You mean, he used the game so you thought he was a teenager.”

“Can yes, can not.”

Tiger this time scratched his head. He didn't have to be careful not to hit his scar. The pain has gone. The wound has been there for years. Leave memories as bad as they seem.

Jayden kindly explained. “Killer Bee could have used the game so I thought he was a teenager, but he was an adult. However, it can also be the opposite. Killer Bee could be a teenager.”

“Dia pin...” Tiger stops before saying the word ‘smart’ again. “He must have decent ability. He managed to break through our firewall.”

Jayden spontaneously frowned. “Ralat. We're not. He managed to break through another branch firewall. Not my firewall. I found the action. They should have given me a medal, not handcuffs.”

Tiger glanced at Jayden's bruised cheek.

The young man spontaneously closed his wound. “OK, okay. No need to hit me again. I'll watch my talk.”

“You will do whatever he tells you,” Jayden continued.

“You must understand what the leader means, J.”

“Someone with an iron fist. People who can easily get someone else to hit when something goes outside the plan.”

“He was upset that Killer Bee made it in here yesterday.”

“I found the leak. I got hit.”

“Hatya is upset.”

“She is not a seventeen year old girl. She's already a granny.”

“The child is not married. She has no grandchildren.”

“Oh, why am I surprised that he is married?” Jayden rolled his eyeballs. The talk of their leader always makes the atmosphere become sultry and annoying.

“At least you should remember Nadira helping you from jail.”

“He moved my jailer here.”

“Prison does not give you advanced computer.”

Jayden immediately laughed. He laughed and clapped. “Smart answer, Tiger! Smart answer. That makes sense. I can't deny that. This job is like a dream job.”

Tiger nodded, not wanting to continue the debate. However, he needed to emphasize a few things to Jayden. “I'm sure there is no need to remind you also about the confidentiality of our operations. You must understand that this is not a game.”

“I know. Zetta Sonic can't get leaked out.”

“It also applies to other branches.”

“Sure. That's my purpose here. Nadira does not want his toys until caught by another branch. The Zetta Sonic is a sweet surprise to the world, as long as they finish the operation immediately. Otherwise, maybe we will be listed as one of the great tragedies.”

“No tragedy will happen. They do their operations well.”

“Professor Otto has gotten a volunteer.”

“Should've. Rather than thinking that, it was better to stop Killer Bee immediately before he broke through again and dismantled everything or worse.”

“Worse?”

“Call her flock and reveal Zetta Sonic to the public.”

“Take it easy, Tiger. No one can steal data while I'm sitting here.”

Tiger noticed how the look in Jayden's eyes changed. He was always like that when he found something that attracted his heart. No matter how many times they trained, Jayden always lost a fight with him. However, in front of the computer, the story is reversed. Jayden's gaze at the computer screen even made Tiger swallow spit out loud. For a moment, he felt sorry for Killer Bee.
