Alex has installed an excellent navigation system on his helmet. He found the pier easily. More precisely, he found where the white ambulance car was parked. Everything was exactly the same as what he saw on the surveillance camera. Alex also saw a row of containers arranged. In addition, he found a building at the back of the container pile.
With help from the combat uniform, Alex zooms in on what he sees. The scenery is far and detailed enough as if wearing binoculars. Alex for a moment longs for how Jayden did it all for him. Not doing it yourself with a prototype uniform. Its function is not as complete as the usual uniform. The look is a little more blurry. At least, it was better than going there without any uniforms.
That guy over there. Rocky is sitting alone. Beside him was a large table with rows of beer bottles. It was his only friend that night. She's alone. Alex knew it was a trap.
A man drinking in a large room alone accompanied by alcoholic beverages. That kind of thing wouldn't happen. Given how the mastermind arranged the kidnapping so well, it was all clearly a trap. The mastermind was willing to kill the shooting team to make Alex off guard. There was no way he would let his fake medical team personnel be there.
The next question, what are the traps for?
Alex looked around. He even activated the heat scanner, just in case there was a sniper there. In fact, he didn't find anyone. There were no snipers on the roof of the building or the stack of containers. There was no one else but Rocky and her. No traps were visible in the room. Even the empty room where Rocky was in seemed to have been deliberately emptied.
Could it be that the man was waiting for someone?
Alex is still in his position. He was near a container that was quite close. From his position, he could see Rocky and the night sky clearly. The air was too cold, the fishy smell faintly smelled and sickening. Too quiet. Ignoring all the bad possibilities that could happen, Alex opted for the forward.
The longer he stayed silent, the more worried he became. Rather than drowning in unsettling thoughts, Alex walked over. He does it in stealth mode. That is, no one can see him now. Unless, of course, the guy has infrared features like those attached to his helmet.
When Alex gets close to the window, he believes Rocky flinches as if looking at him.
“Who's there!” The man asked in a snapshot.
Alex flinching. He's pretty sure Rocky didn't really see it. Maybe he was too caught off guard and made that noise that made Rocky think there was something outside the building. Rocky's vigilance makes Alex more convinced that the man is there with one goal in mind.
Shortly after, Rocky's calm returned. He squeezed the beer until it ran out and then rubbed the rest down his beard.
Alex had already moved to the front door by then. The door is like a normal door. Cheap door with cheap swivel knob. Alex's hand was on the knob. However, he returned to flinch. Not out of fear of leaving fingerprints, the uniform perfectly covered her body. Except because something in his heart knew. All of that would not go as smoothly as he wanted.
At least, Alex could name two reasons that made him riled up. One, he's against Nadira's orders. Two, he refused the call of doctor Vanessa. Three, he actually got a call from his father and received it anyway. Maybe they are unrelated. It was a coincidence that made him restless. Alex moves his shoulders involuntarily, expelling all the hanging bad taste.
He also entered the room.
Rocky makes a reaction that Alex had expected. The man stood up. He pulled the rifle that had been leaning back in his chair. Alex is unaware of the weapon's existence until Rocky retrieves it.
“Who's there!” Rocky snaps again.
Alex gave a glance. He found the room empty as he had seen it before. There's a surveillance camera in the corner of the room. Stairs attached to the back of the building, culminating in a chained and padlocked door.
“Who's there?” Rocky's voice hasn't changed in the slightest even though his tone is turning into a question now. “I know there's someone there. Who?”
Rocky instead of answering, threw a counter question. “Who's there? What is Zetta Sonic?”
Alex knew clearly he could not let his time using stealth mode run out first. Especially now, Rocky started to raise his gun. The worst thing that could happen is Rocky shooting blindly and then hitting his uniform.
“Show yourself!” exciting Rocky.
When the order comes out, Rocky starts to actually shoot. The man aimed at all sides starting from the far left side of the room. Alex ran around. However, his movements were precisely baiting the opponent.
“There, yes?”
Alex jumped as high as he could when the shots came. His strength really helped at a time like this. His feet hit the floor, bringing him soaring upwards. Alex could even see the position of the door on the second floor clearly. It was probably the highest jump he ever made. Moreover, this jump was definitely the strongest jump. Alex saw the part of the floor where he stood cracked badly.
He also found that the sign was longer. Every time he used Dragon Blood, Alex felt a green flash fill his sight for a moment. This time, it's longer. At that time, Alex realized that his stealth mode was on the end of duration. His body began to see.
Rocky looked up and saw a black figure in the air. He was caught in doubt. The man only flinched for a split second. He missed his chance to shoot Alex in the form of Zetta Sonic.
Alex landed perfectly. He can also pick up his gun easily. Thanks to the strength, the uniform, and the training he does, Alex shoots just right. His shot hit Rocky's hand, causing the man to drop his gun. Before Rocky realized what was happening, Alex had already pressed him on the floor.
“Where is he?” ask Alex. “Where is Jayden?”
Rocky grimaced, enduring the pain of the shot and Alex's elbow pressing against his chest on the floor. “A— I don't know.” Rocky gave an answer like Tiger had expected. The mastermind always breaks the chain.
“What are you doing here?” ask Alex again.
“A— I— I was just told to be here. Said... for feed.”.
Alex grunts amusedly. “What's yourmpan?”
“I don't know. I... only do the.. ruled.”.
“Who ordered you?”
“A— I don't know. His order... came in an envelope containing money.”.
Alex is trying to digest what happened. If Rocky's there to lure him in, then there's a trap there. Alex noticed it when he heard the loud roar of a savage beast from the second floor. The sound almost coincided with the sound of the door breaking on the second floor. It didn't take long, the chain broke, the padlock was broken, and — tops — second floor doors were thrown.
Alex saw a figure he would never forget.
