‘You should have seen their faces.’
Alex is ready to call Willy and say that. Willy would laugh with him when he saw the horde dressed all in black running down the alley in the central park. Alex will tell you the details. He would have jumped over the part if the mob had a gun. Willy would be horrified at once. That fact made him aware. His imagination stopped.
Alex fixated. The phone is in his hands. He was also on the terrace towards the central garden to see more clearly. The rover was beside him, barking unfriendlyly, while waiting for Alex's orders.
All the excitement that had approached had turned into a piercing feeling. Seeing hordes of armed robbers shooting at iron-clad horses did not comfort him. Similarly, the expression of confusion of the security officers who had joined. Everything no longer interested him.
It wasn't the first commotion Alex had ever experienced. It was also definitely not the first time that any robber had entered the mansion where he was staying. But, it was clearly the first time he felt unable to tell the incident to his friend.
The robot horse came from his father. Its function is not much different from the original horse. It's just a toy. A horse-shaped robot that is equipped with a battery and can be boarded like a real horse. Alex modifies it with the help of Emil. Helping Emil sneak into his own home is definitely not difficult. Now, the robot can not only detect foreign faces but also attack them. He's working fine. Exceptionally well.
Alex will tell Emil later. But, Willy? Alex doesn't know how he can explain the robot's technology to his friend. She feels further and further along with her friend, with her school, with her favorite girl, with her world. I don't know since when the ICPA shifted it all.
His house felt a little stranger than the Special Force headquarters. In retrospect, he even felt alien to himself. The bracelet he had placed in his hand had changed everything. His fingers went through the white bracelet. Chilly. So contrary to the hot Dragon Aura and melting anything.
As a Zetta Sonic, he has powers he never thought of before. The power to rule the world? Alex chuckled as the thought flashed through his mind.
While being overwhelmed by his thoughts, one of the gang ran at him. He realized that their shots had not been successful. He also realized that getting hostages in such a position would give them access to escape. The thinking was not wrong, the opponent was wrong.
Alex's eyes glinted green. Alex noticed the arrival of the black-clothed man. Alex recognized the silhouette of the dagger his opponent held in one hand and the muzzle of the gun in the other. Alex knows the Rover has prepared to hit the opponent. However, he did not realize when the Dragon Blood within him had activated.
Without being ordered, Alex's body moves. The opponent who was about to catch him failed. The rover was also quickly defeated by his employer. Alex's hand had caught the right hand of the opponent holding the gun. Turn that hand. His strength forced the opponent to drop the weapon. The man screamed between pain and cursing.
His decision to capture Alex was truly a misfortune. In that locked state, Rover bit his leg. Even so, these robbers do not give up.
The other hand pulled out a dagger. His blade cut through the air right in front of Alex's chest. From such a close distance, Alex could see how his opponent was wide-eyed. His evasive movements were too fast. That soon, Alex could retaliate. He thrust a fist into the stomach of the opponent. The attack dropped his opponent quickly. The man curled up on the floor, groaning in pain, clutching his stomach.
“You okay, Alex?” Preston came panting. He managed to kick the gun away from the criminal who had just intended to attack his employer. His forehead wrinkled anxiously with eyes fixed on Alex.
Alex opened his mouth to answer. It turned out that the answer came out slightly different from his shadow. “Ya,” said briefly. That'sallthatis. The additional comments he had already devised in his mind had vanished. Maybe he was a little surprised by Preston's presence or the rifle he was carrying.
Realizing that Alex had glanced at his rifle, Preston laughed nervously. “For so long I don't know why you told me to keep this next to the bed. Now I know. There is no harm in case.”
Alex faked his smile. “Of course. Mansion. Robbers. Ordinary thing.”
Preston nodded.
There's awkwardness between Alex and Preston. Avoiding the worse awkwardness, Alex hurriedly stepped up. “I have to sleep. School.”
“I hope you sleep well, Alex.”
Their conversation ended there. The usual Preston will probably talk more. So did Alex. Tonight, they had both seen different things. Alex shouldn't be that good at martial arts. His reflexes were too fast as if he had gotten used to threats. Preston hates guns, as far as Alex knows.
None of the two talked about horses. Preston only knew that they were calling a service worker for their electrical installation. One of them was interested in the horse and talked a lot with Alex. Both Preston and Alex realize they're hiding something from each other.
Alex returned to his room, sat on the bed, speechless. The rover also stayed beside his feet. Seeing that, Alex stroked the rottweiler's head until the dog decided to lie down. Anxious, Alex approached the window.
The security department is busy. They pointed long guns at the robbers, forced them to throw their guns, then kneeled on the ground while waiting for the police to arrive. Preston was there. He calmed the horse robot and took it away before an additional commotion arose.
Alex squinted his eyes. He didn't see where Preston's rifle was. The rifle was hidden well and quickly. Despite being painted jet black, Alex recognizes the weapon carried by his butler's head. Alex never expected to see an ICPA laser rifle in his own home.
Father involved? Whynot? Preston obviously knows more than Alex thinks and maybe, quite possibly, his father too.
