Hot Tea

Gavin's blue sedan drove fast on a deserted highway without daring to turn on the lights. Guided by Jason the drone, Gavin escapes the crowded streets. Occasionally, he glanced at the figure sitting beside him. The child who was no longer wearing the combat uniform was now covered. In Gavin's eyes, his face turned pale.

Jason flew under the bridge. He waited for Gavin's car to approach before it went through the wall on the left. Gavin didn't question all the clues. Without a hint of hesitation about to crash, Gavin took his car in the same direction.

The view has changed too. There was a large hallway illuminated by the lights. His condition was dim enough that he reached the end of the hall. Gavin parked his car in the middle of a giant round room. Without a fight, he went down while raising his hand. The drone has joined his family. In front of him, there were now several people. There was a man carrying a large rifle, a young man carrying a PC tablet, another young man, and a charming woman carrying a large bundle of cloth.

“Can I get a towel first before you shoot?” ask Gavin.

The woman, Vanessa's doctor, said regardless of the scenario Jayden had previously worked out. “Of course!” He's squandering on Gavin. He gave her a cloth bundle that turned out to be a thick brown blanket. “We also have warm tea in the meeting room.”

Gavin doesn't know how to react.

Doctor Vanessa continued. “I'm doctor Vanessa. Please work with us, Gavin. I don't really like having a lot of patients.”

Next, Vanessa's doctor ran into the back seat of the car. Emil approached her while carrying a white wheeled stretcher. The two move Alex from the car onto the stretcher. They put a respirator. Gavin saw the pale-faced child being taken away. Jayden followed until Alex vanished behind the elevator.

Tiger cleared his throat while lowering his rifle.

“So, we're safe?” Gavin realized that he no longer raised his hand. The man was wearing a blanket over his body. “You know who I am. But I don't know who you are. Maybe.” Gavin knows the face behind the Zetta Sonic mask.

Jayden sighed softly. He reached out his hand, letting Jason land there. Tonight obviously didn't go according to plan. For him, it's better Jason's broken than Alex's hurt. Then, he saw the agent. Although they were quite a distance away, Jayden did not need to scream. The orders are pretty clear. “Cute me. We need to talk a lot.”

With Tiger, the three of them went to the meeting room on the first floor. The room is quite simple. There was a large table in the middle of the room with swivel chairs all around. Fake plants at the end of the room, pantry in the corner of the room, also a pair of short cabinets. Jayden took his position first.

“Doctor Vanessa said to give you a change of clothes first,” said Jayden, glancing at the pile of gray suits commonly used by novice agents for practice. “I can give you a few minutes. Toilet is next to.”

Gavin. His eyes were trying to look into the young man's face. “You're not afraid that I'll do something else?”

The tiger behind him immediately sneered. “Let me give you a warning, Gavin River. You're at the Zetta Sonic Special Force base. You don't know what kind of surprise we have.” Tiger made a grin, then stood behind Jayden.

“If I were you,” continued Jayden, “I would be back here as soon as.”

“Why?”

“I have the information you want. Silvy Eleanor.”

“Where is he?” Gavin suddenly shouted. Tranquility disappeared. The blanket on his shoulder fell off, revealing the still-drenched tuxedo.

Jayden leaned back in his chair casually. “Cube time five minutes.”

Gavin understands that he won't get his information that soon. As per the instructions, he also hurriedly changed clothes. Within five minutes, he was back in the meeting room. His face is now more similar to the agent data Jayden had found earlier. Pale-skinned men, brown curly hair, spots on the face and thin lips. Under the training clothes, his body looked thin but muscular.

Jayden is in the pantry. He poured hot water into two ceramic mugs. Inside were tea bags. Jayden brought it back to exactly. One mug for him, another mug was placed on the table near the empty seat. Jayden pointed to the empty seat. “Before, there are some provisions that we must agree.”

Gavin. “What do you want?” ask while sitting.

“We must understand each other's condition first. Here, I am responsible with the technology and information that circulates. I know that you weren't assigned here. You are on vacation with your girlfriend. One night, your girlfriend suddenly went missing. You did your own investigation and found Filip Shah was behind it.”

Gavin clenched his hands on the table. “I need information I don't know.”

Jayden ignored the order. “You carried an ICPA laser weapon on the grounds of chasing a fugitive. But that doesn't mean you can use it freely. What you did inside the factory was a huge offense. Seeing the sacrifices you made, I'm sure the girl meant a lot to you.”

“Just get to the point! What do you really want in exchange for Silvy's whereabouts?”

Jayden smiled then casually replied. “No.”

The answer made Gavin spontaneously gawk. “I don't understand.”

Jayden shifted the tablet PC in front of him towards Gavin. “We can work together. The case of human trafficking that occurs is actually not an agenda to be addressed. We need a little help. I thought we could work together. Save your lover, save others, save your career.”

Gavin did not answer. There was a moment of silence before he spoke. “You mean, you will cover up the mistakes I made here?”

Jayden nodded. “Attempts of interest?”

Gavin did not answer again.

Jayden continued on. “You need our help if you want to see your girlfriend again. Right now he's on top of the barangl, deep in the middle of the ocean. They are in overseas shipping. Not in Sinde, not Regis. If not, we can lose them. It's a good opportunity while they're in free waters. The risk is smaller.”

“You want me to act with Zetta Sonic?”

Jayden shakes. “Special Force Zetta Sonic offers his help to you.”

“Zetta Sonic .. He was injured.”

“Just because of that, we need each other. If this case is handled by Zetta Sonic, Nadira can cover your actions. Zetta Sonic has its own rules. This mission adds to the list of Zetta Sonic.” lunge

Tiger who had been silent had finally spoken. He was still standing next to the pantry, just finishing his tea while snacking on a pack of potato chips. “Gavin, let's just say you're a superhero assistant. No need to search for the spotlight. You just want your girl back, don't you?”

Gavin glanced at the big man then returned to the young man in front of him. He already understood even though no one said it clearly. “There has never been an error made in the factory. Never had a rescue on the river.”
