The threat horrified Jayden, not Alex.
Alex did not answer directly. His body is still shaking. As Tiger was about to take another step, Alex moved slowly, got up, and started walking. The road is straight, but he's going in the right direction. Tiger squinted his eyes in order to see the child's face in dimness. Her face flushed. His eyes moved slowly on him.
Tiger dropped his rifle. “Come!”
Tiger ran to the end of the alley, towards their parked car nearby. Alex followed as fast as he could. Two things are contradictory in him. On one hand, tension still filled his mind. On the other hand, he felt very excited. Both of these things made him very nervous. As soon as he got into the car, he picked up a tissue, removing all the makeup from his wet face.
“Use this!” Tiger threw a tiny bottle at him before spurring the car. “Caitlin says, pour it on a new tissue wipe it on the face.”
Alex doesn't talk, he can read the writing on his bottle ‘Make Up Remover’.
While Alex was cleaning up the makeup, Tiger called back his comrades. “We're out. Where are those people?”
[They're headed for the De Penguin casino. It's about four miles from there.] Jayden's voice came out of the car speakers, not from their earphones.
Tiger pressed the gas pedal, making the SUV roar. The speed is still less than the sedan, but enough to overtake the cars on the main road. Driving Tiger and Jayden is a lot different. If they were robbing a bank, Tiger would be the right driver.
[Alex. You there?]
“Ya.” Alex answered successfully. He hid the trembling in his voice well. “They change the place of transaction?” Alex asked back.
Tiger immediately sneered. “With the commotion you made earlier, they immediately ran away. Luckily Caitlin stood guard across the resort. He's tailing their car right now. When viewed from the route, only one place they might go. Casino De Penguin is owned by Nikola Shah.”
“Nikola Shah!” Previously, Alex felt he had seen the figure of a large-bodied businessman who became the buyer. After hearing his name, Alex realized that he had indeed met this man with his father.
“You know who he is?” Tiger asked, testing.
“He graced the headline several times. If not mistaken, he is one of the ten largest donors of the university for the study program of robotics. He is also a regular donor to the charity. It all turned out to be no more than a guise, yes.”
Tiger grinned. “Many invisible things as they seem, Alex.”
Is correct. Alex agreed in his heart. He knows that very well. Even when he said that Nikola Shah had graced the headlines several times, it was just to cover up that he had met in person. It happened last year. Alex came to the event at the university with his father as a VIP invitation to the fundraising event. He remembered how his father talked about business with this man. They talked about oil refineries and robots.
Alex looked straight ahead even though his mind was floating. He shuddered at the thought that his father was actually involved with a world-class crime like this. Even now, he was also starting to look the same way.
A loud honking sound rang out from behind them, a sign of protest and emotion. Tiger just cut a tiny city car. Of course Tiger doesn't bother about that. He let his car go fast without letting anyone overtake it from any side let alone stop it. Including the red light.
Alex saw how Tiger did not reduce his speed in the slightest as they approached the intersection. Unknowingly, he grabbed his seat belt. The car may be equipped with advanced tools to avoid collisions, he thought. Even so, it was still no reason to break through the dense intersection like the one in front of them.
The red light flashed, turning yellow, then green. Tiger didn't hit the red light. There was a horn sound, but no one blamed Tiger. This SUV car goes fast when the red light has turned green. More precisely, when the lights have been changed to green.
Jayden laughing. [The question of how to change the lights at the intersection at will, Kill. I'll arrange everything for you. You guys just go after him.]
Alex did not continue. The fact that Jayden didn't make the perfect Killer Bee call on him may be a good sign.
Alex takes off the bow tie, throws it backwards. He never likes a tie, especially a bow tie, just personal reasons. He was also about to take off his vest when Tiger stopped.
“You're wasting your time, boy!”
Alex frowning. “Why? Is it because they've seen my face, so I can't take off this silly uniform?”
Tiger giggled. “You think ICPA didn't bring you a change of clothes?”
“Now you tell me to change clothes in the car?”
“I'm not talking about changing clothes in the car. Open dashboard. Download, press, practical.”
Alex doesn't fully understand Tiger. However, he remained obedient and opened the compartment in front of him. With one tap, the compartment opens. Practically. But Alex is convinced Tiger isn't talking about it.
Inside the compartment, he saw a green-starred pentagonal object. It is similar to a police emblem. Alex observes him in the dimness of the car and the shocks caused by the uneven road. His eyes found that his star could be suppressed. Nothing happens when the star goes in. He also brought her near to the body.
Take, press, practical.
As soon as he approached his clothes, the emblem was immediately attached there. As Alex pressed his star, he could see pieces of the hexagon seeping out. His movements are very fast. Alex hasn't even had a chance to keep an eye on where the piece went. Just know, his body has been covered by black tight clothes from the tiny pieces earlier. His clothes are equipped with shoulder and chest protection. The protector itself is made of hard material with firm lines, giving a futuristic impression.
“I feel like I just moved into the game world!” sahut Alex's.
“Unfortunately, professor Otto has not been able to put a helmet, gloves, and shoes in it. Manual wear. It's in the back.”
Alex snatched the tote bag in the back seat. He immediately put on his boots and gloves. Both are also shades of black with a little silver and green accent lines. There was no helmet there, just a black headset with a tiny star on the ear. Alex was surprised again.
As soon as he put on the headphones, a slow crackle sounded in his ear. The headphones soon expanded. The object made a layer covering the face and head thoroughly. Alex held his breath unconsciously. He was only able to breathe a sigh of relief after the crackling vanished. His view is now dotted with lines and indicators. His ears hear better, his hearing is sharper. His nose could smell the fresh air scented with mint. His head was cold, shocking.
“Professor Otto pleased praise.” Tiger chuckles.
“He will get it later. This fixture ... is amazing!” Alex can't hide his spirit.
[Let's see who's here. Hello, Zetta Sonic!]
