The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Building

That night was a bit foggy. Conditions in the capital are a little cooler than the previous nights. Weather forecast predicts the arrival of midnight rain today. According to the weather forecast, Jayden was already wearing a white jumper on his shirt. He huddled in the car waiting for Alex to arrive.

The week did not go as well as he wanted. His work continues to pile up. These and that improvements, drone development, training for the Zetta Sonic. His sleep continues to decrease. His eyes now resembled panda eyes. Even when he had to help Alex for the exercise this time, his concentration was split on developing the drone.

The stealth mode on the Zetta Sonic uniform gave it the idea for a drone. If he can make the drone visible, the tool will be a deadly weapon. It shouldn't be hard. Just a little extra tools. The problem is, the addition will not only change the shape but also change all the calculations. Its weight will affect its speed of movement.

“Hei!” Tiger opened the car door, making him flinch in shock. He brought two paper cups with hot drinks. “You want to give me advice? Stop multi tasking. Training will start soon and you are still glued to the laptop.”

“Drone,” breaks Jayden while receiving his drink from Tiger. Ever since they became roommates, Jayden felt the big man soften a little. Taking a drink from a logistics tent is not a big thing, but Tiger who usually won't even care if Jayden freezes there.

“Not got a name?”

“Thereverse. I got a lot of ideas. Too much until I can't decide which is better.” Jayden sighing. He took a sip of the drink, realizing that it contained warm chocolate instead of coffee. “Nadira was a little kind to us, eh? This entire facility, weaponry, to set up such a tent.”

Tiger just put his shoulders. Keep the car door open.

The area is a large land with semi-finished buildings. The owner got a permit issue. He was arrested and his assets confiscated. Nadira took over the area a few years ago without any concrete goals. Today, he realized his decision was not a mistake.

The location is on the outskirts of the city, away from the crowds. With a little extra road repair bars and a ban on entry, it's the perfect base for a Zetta Sonic training ground. Alex can't show himself. So does his opponent. They will get into trouble if it is known to the wider community especially journalists.

For that, Nadira has prepared many things. He prepared a container that had been conjured up as a bathroom, another container for the medical room, a container filled with equipment, as well as a logistics tent containing food and drinks.

There won't be many people there. Professor Otto, Doctor Vanessa, Jayden, Tiger, and some additional agents. No additional agent can know Alex's identity. Alex was ordered to wear his full uniform as a Zetta Sonic before leaving for the location.

Alex's training even started before he got there. Nadira not only asked him to come in uniform, he also asked Alex to arrive there without being caught by anyone at home also without the help of the ICPA. Basically, Nadira wants to test as seriously as Alex is on this.

Of course, Alex responded to Nadira's orders without much protest. He had a million ways to get to the area. He doesn't even have to sneak out. Enough with the fake group task order, Alex can stay the night wherever he wants. This time, he even got out with his own car.

Jayden welcomed the boy away from the training ground. He was already monitoring the arrival of a black sedan car from a distance. The images taken by the drone are very clear. Not only the license plate was recorded, the driver's face was clearly visible. No one will drive with a helmet, unless he has a special reason.

Alex parked his car in the area. No guardrails, let alone parking lines. He can put his car anywhere.

Jayden raised his eyebrows when he saw Alex coming down. “You can be ticketed. I'm pretty sure you don't have a driver's license. Besides, how can your supervisor allow you to bring a car?”

“Because he doesn't know,” replied Alex casually. “Hey, I'm still the employer at home. When I ask for the car keys, no one will dare to argue.”

“I just did what Nadira ordered.”

“Stay alone, it's against the rules. We could get in trouble if you get ticketed. Nadira just asked you to get here. Next time, use your brain and find the right way is not the easy way.”

Somehow, as if knowing that Alex was ready to fight Jayden back, Tiger interceded. “Enough. You can continue later. We've been awaited. By the way, Nadira said next time I'll pick you up at home, Alex. Be a good boy. And, Jayden, maybe you'd like to start explaining how the exercise process works.”

Jayden rolled his eyeballs. “Follow me!”

He walked towards the logistics tent. It looks like a military tent in general. Large and sturdy, made of strong materials, complete with windows. Inside were tables, chairs, crates of supplies containing food and drinks, as well as several ICPA colleagues clad in green white uniforms.

“Considerations, colleagues, I present Zetta Sonic to you.” Jayden stood up while crossing his arms behind. The faces of those people showed astonishment mixed with admiration. Their eyes watched Alex in the Zetta Sonic uniform thoroughly, from helmets to shoes. “KITA will start training soon. Please return to your respective posts.”

Two of them occupy a table with a large computer facing the building. The rest sit in different positions, such as near medicine boxes and stretchers. There are also those who sit near the chest with the hazard emblem.

“What's in that box? Is it natural that I feel a little nervous?” alex whispers.

“Just mind,” pinta Jayden. “That's just a backup plan if your training turns into a battlefield, Sonic.” Jayden didn't want to let Alex name it when the boy was in the Zetta Sonic combat uniform.

Jayden steps up to another table with a computer while Alex follows behind him. There, Jayden shows an abandoned building scheme. There were at least over twenty floors and a hundred rooms. The electricity has not been installed and the ICPA has no intention of installing it there.

“This exercise is expected to last for one hour. It can be faster if you do it faster,” said Jayden. “Your destination is pretty easy. Find the target and destroy it. There's only one target, big enough, easy to spot. You will know right away when you meet him.”

“What kind of target?” Alex felt his forehead wrinkle.

Tiger opened the suitcase, handed the laser gun inside to Alex. “Profit.”

Alex took turns looking at the gun he now had in his hand and then toward the building's scheme on the computer screen. “How big?”

Jayden made a knotty smile, he instead glanced at Tiger beside him.

As if infected, Tiger grinned along. “You will know when you see it. All you need to know is that we have a tracking chip in there. So, if anything goes outside the plan, we have two options. Shoot the spider or tear down the building.”
