Alex and Cody started to step down. Just then, Jason blinked red. He's giving Alex a distress signal. On his uniform screen, Alex could see a gorilla robot running to the end of the stairs. Cody who was behind him gasped. He was also unlikely to miss the arrival of such a heavy creature. Each step gave rise to a loud noise.
“Wait here!” exclaim Alex.
Cody didn't answer, he was flinching there.
Alex no longer bothered going down the stairs. He just jumped down. They've been found out. It's a responsibility to step back from all this. Alex didn't land on the floor. He landed right above his opponent's head.
The robot gorilla made it, although not to fall. Alex uses the robot's head as a pedestal to jump to the ground. Without waiting for the robot to move again, Alex starts attacking. He kicked his opponent's stomach which felt more tender than the other parts. Of course that's not entirely true.
With the help of the system, Alex learns that the robot's entire body is coated with a hard mixture of materials. Alex's attack did not inflict any significant damage on him. Just like the previous robot that Alex fought against, the robot hit his chest while shouting. His voice was like the moans of a wild animal. The fasts can obviously call other robotic counterparts.
Alex remembers what Jayden said about the people inside the robot. The robot uses people as a source of energy. If Alex used Dragon Blood energy to defeat his enemy, he could kill the people inside as well. If he just wants to beat them, it could be that the robot drains the energy of the people in it which also results in death. If Alex doesn't attack at all, he'll be killed himself. Any choice does not provide a solution for him.
So far, he also has not known whether Marcel's death was purely due to an attack from him or the energy the robot absorbed, or a combination of the two. Thinking of that, Alex felt even more confused.
Unknowingly, Alex clenched his hand. Even so, Alex kept running forward. He did not let the opponent advance first. Alex delivers punches and attacks. He made sure his attack didn't really hit a vital point. Learning from videos of ICPA agents completing missions, Alex learns a lot. Including how to attack the opponent's weak point.
That thought led him to another consciousness. The robot moves not based on human desires in it. That means Alex is moving against real robots. An artificial intelligence. The problem now is what artificial intelligence is made of. If the intelligence is based on ICPA agents, the problem is even greater.
After delivering a crushing blow to the opponent's head and making him fall into a slump, Alex hurriedly retreated.
“Bug, I need an idea!” Alex didn't want to mention his friend's name there. “Dan, you need a better name than that.”
“What do you need?”
“I need to stop this robot without damaging it. I want to make it short to stop.”
“It can kill people in it!”
“Unless I can find which point is safe. Help me analyze.”
“What do you mean?“ Cody stop. “You want me to search the control panel or the Stop button?”
Cody was still flabbergasted in his place. He saw Alex in the all-black uniform running towards the opponent. He attacked the robot and the robot attacked him.
When Alex was about to kick back his opponent's stomach, the gorilla robot moved first. He put his hands together in a big fist. The fist hit the floor. The floor instantly cracked, the flakes flying in the air mixed with dust. If Alex hadn't been wearing a helmet, the flakes might have gotten into his eyes.
The robot's attack made Alex look. Just then, his opponent opened his chest. There, the muzzle of a machine gun appears. The bullet rippled through the air toward Alex.
Spontaneously, Alex raised his hand into the air. Zet-Arm conjures up a thick greenish transparent shield. That thick shield was clearly draining his energy. Alex could monitor the use of Dragon Blood energy from his body on the screen in front of his helmet.
“See it!” Cody suddenly exclaimed. “There's a small box between his machine guns!”
Alex is squeaking in the middle of a shrapnel that broke into his shield. Cody's right. He could see a small box between the twin machine guns. The box had a slight gap at the bottom, indicating that it could be opened.
Alex smiled knot. With the shield still burning, he began to step forward. The robot kept shooting without a care. Looks like he's programmed to keep shooting as long as the opponent hasn't fallen. Now just where happened first, Alex reaches the robot or the robot's bullet runs out.
Apparently both. Alex arrives in front of the robot just as the bullet runs out. The muzzle of the machine gun no longer rotates. There's an odd click there. The robot is shaking. The system is confused when faced with this kind of problem.
Without waiting for long, Alex unplugged the box. He did it a bit in a hurry until there was another part torn from it. The coating on the inside of the robot was clearly not as hard as the outside. Behind the door, Alex finds another cover with four bolts on each side.
Alex didn't bother to open it with a screwdriver. Once knowing that it can tear the inside of the robot, Alex holds the part that sticking out due to the pull earlier. Next, he pulled as hard as the part.
The power of Dragon Blood made it nearly damage the entire panel on the chest. Thin wires cut. Her tiny sparks adorned as Alex whipped out most of his panels. Behind that panel, Alex sees people. He looked at the pale face that was asleep yet still alive. The sight made him flinch for a moment. Slowly, the gorilla robot fell on the floor with a thud.
Both Alex, both Cody, were silent. They waited a moment. Next, Alex walked slowly to take a closer look. He was afraid to see a dead figure as scarred as Marcel. That face is sleeping. The system in his uniform recognizes that the person is still alive.
Alex breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to Cody. “It turns out we're a pretty decent team too.”
Cody chuckles. He was also about to retort when he saw the shadow behind Alex.
Alex was self-conscious of it. He was suddenly covered by a large and dark shadow. Just turning away, he saw a big fist. The fist smashed into the nearby tank as well as an intricate array of iron connected to it. The fist did not stop just like that but continued to hit him as well.
Cody gasped again. The figure that had just made his friend bounce started to step closer. Under the dim light, Cody saw him as a robot gorilla. He chose two big differences over the previous robot. The robot is completely red and nearly three times the size of a normal human. Worse, the giant robot turned to him.
