Alex is back at camp with Tiger. Honey Lemon has finished the song. He returned with his guards, obviously not going to spend the night with them. Alex is tired and wants to sleep. Unfortunately, the show is still going on. Alex could guess how it ended. As soon as he touched the pillow, he fell asleep.
The rest of their camp ended well. Exceptionally well. His battle with the killer robot yesterday was like an illusion. After lunch, they rushed back to the capital. There were not many interesting things along the way. He sat down with Leta. They talk casually. Both realized that they were both looking forward to the event at the university. Most of the other bus drivers have fallen asleep.
Shortly thereafter, Leta fell asleep. Alex hopes the girl will sleep on his shoulders, unfortunately Leta just fell asleep in the other direction, towards the window. The trip was a drowsiness invitation.
Alex peeked out from his position near the alley. At least, he found someone else who was still in charge of withstanding the drowsiness. Tiger did not sleep. The big-bodied man was constantly on guard throughout the trip. Jemari Alex rubbing Zet-Arm. After this school event, he would not go straight home but to the headquarters. He needs to be refilled. It was good not to let Dragon Blood run out of power.
Even so, Alex had only been chatting with Tiger after they arrived at school. That was after almost everyone came home. Tiger goes first to the car parked behind the school, Alex follows after.
“So, do I have to activate the combat uniform before going to headquarters?” alex asked while wearing a seatbelt.
“You will only make a fuss if you walk around the headquarters in a Zetta Sonic uniform. Besides, where do you think we're going? ICPA headquarters in the capital?” Tiger snorted amusedly while running the car.
“Wait! We're going to the reservoir?”
“So far, the generator room is only there.”
“Iya, I know.” Alex threw his gaze out the window, expecting another. “I thought his new headquarters was done.”
“Do you know what kind of organization you are dealing with?”
Alex understood it. He can't hide his pleasure. “So, the headquarters is ready? Seriously?”
“Just a simple fix with a little extra space.”
Although Tiger tried to make it sound easy, Alex understood that the process was not that easy. He couldn't lie if he had waited for this moment for a long time. He wants to know the new headquarters of Special Force Zetta Sonic. He also hopes to get around. His memories with the old headquarters weren't so good. Just pain, fainting, and that sort of thing. This time, he felt strong to go around.
One of the striking differences from their new headquarters was of course the entrance. To get into this base, they had to enter from under the bridge. The base is connected to various secret doors under the bridge. A much quieter place. The location was chosen which is quite far from the reservoir itself.
Tiger pressed the button on their car. A plain button without any symbols. His car drove slowly under the bridge and then turned to the wall. They pierce through it like there's nothing there. Alex was made to look back by curiosity. Behind them, Alex sees a sliding iron door begin to close.
In front of them was a large, dimly lit hallway. Lighting only comes from the bulbous lights on the upper right and left sides. The hallway feels so big. Alex is pretty sure they can load a truck in it or maybe another larger vehicle. The trip felt quite fast especially when Tiger casually raised his speed. They finally arrived at a round room with six large mouths connected to different hallways and other doors.
“There's a plane here? A helicopter? Tank?” guess Alex.
“Still in the stage of development.” Tiger wouldn't give me any details. He took his own bag from the back seat and walked towards the elevator. The elevator looks tiny compared to the size of the other door, like a rat hole next to the door of the house. The elevator doors are made of a kind of glass. “There are two lifts here. Same function. Up and down in headquarters.”
Alex snorted amusedly, well understood what the function of the elevator was. He noticed how Tiger placed his palm on the panel on the wall. The elevator door was open. It is like an elevator in general. The size is pretty quiet. Inside the elevator was another panel under a row of floor buttons.
“Everything is enabled with strict security system. Not just anyone can get in and out easily. Want to try?” tiger asked as the elevator doors closed.
“I can try it?”
Tiger put his shoulders. “Should've entered your data.”
Alex put his hand on the panel. At that time, every elevator button was lit up.
“X-05. Generator room,” Tiger said.
Alex pushed the button. The elevator moved down. No stunning views. Even so, Alex enjoyed the view of how the elevator moved from one floor to another. Everything felt similar to the white hallway and the line lights. The elevator stopped on the floor they wanted without a long time. The floor is slightly gray with green accents near the elevator with floor numbers. X-05.
“Here is professor Otto's laboratory, generator room, also medical room.”
Tiger is leading the way. Not much crossing there. Alex is sure to memorize the place quickly. They walked straight towards the large door made of glass. The door shifts automatically as they approach. The room hasn't changed much. So does the occupant. There are still many complicated series of machines and rows of computers. Professor Otto was standing in the middle, right next to the white capsule that was opening.
“Hai, Alex. Feeling great after destroying the killer robot?” The professor gave a big smile.
Alex wants to express his agreement. However, the professor's smile always made him feel bad. Finally, he just nodded. “I feel healthy. Safe.” Alex didn't need to be told, he took off his jacket and climbed into the capsule. “I won't faint, ‘kan?” Alex gulps.
“Better if you fall asleep.”
Alex doesn't like that answer. After that, the capsule closed. Alex felt the capsule move. He saw his ceiling change from dark to light. The generator room felt much brighter and whiter than before. He could see the green columns rising above the dome-shaped room. Also how the blue white electricity flow moves inside the poles.
As the professor said, it's better if he sleeps.
