Alex doesn't know what kind of game is going on. Tiger suddenly appears at his school as an instructor for their camping event. He kissed Nadira's interference behind everything. Given that the leader has connections to various parties, it is not surprising to see the presence of the big agent there.
As Ivan and Ben say, Tiger gave a much shorter explanation than the school-submitted guidance. Alex was sure to be the first to read it when the guide was sent. Tiger's explanation was not only short but also contained the threat behind it.
Alex didn't have a chance to talk to Tiger in class but he was pretty sure Tiger would be waiting for him after school.
As expected, Alex got a call to the teacher's room as soon as the lesson was over. Tiger waited in the counseling room. The room was at the end of the corridor right next to the teacher's room. The room itself had a large glass door. The inside is chocolate. Wooden sofas, dark brown coffee tables, light brown wood flooring, and dried flower arrangements on shelves just below the windows.
“What game is this?” Alex opened the conversation while putting his bag on the sofa. His hands were folded in front of his chest, his eyes glaring sharply at the agent. “Since when did you slam the steering wheel as a free nature instructor.”
Tiger giggled. “This will be a good interlude.”
“You infiltrated my school, Tiger.”
“Sit first. Play as a good student. Here, I am an instructor from the outside. You respect me. I trust you and appoint you as one of the group leaders.”
“OK. I thought I could do that.” Alex sits in the middle of a large sofa. “What group are we talking about? Group leader camping?”
“More than fifty students and eight teachers will leave for the camp. I need ten group leaders. One group, one tent.”
Alex grunts amusedly. “We're still talking about that?”
“No.”
Alex frowning. “You called me here for something else, didn't you?”
“Of course. This is about Zetta Sonic.”
Alex hurriedly placed his index finger on the lips. “Sst! Is it okay to talk about that here? I mean, this is a public place, ‘kan?”
“Don't worry, I've asked Jayden to check out a safe place to talk. This place has no eavesdroppers and indoor surveillance cameras. The glass is thick, blocking the sound out and in. Looks like the artist's kids have their own needs. Jayden says you've never been here.”
“Entertainment. Once. When each student is required to chat with their homeroom for fifteen minutes. You didn't break my record.”
“Happy to hear it.” Tiger said it with a flat face.
“Then, just go ahead. What's your plan? Have me practice during camping?” Alex throws out the only thing that comes to mind in his brain at once the thing he hopes won't happen.
Tiger is smiling now. “Tap.”
“Wait! Whahuh? I just confronted a killer robot and destroyed the factory. Am I not worthy of a vacation?” Since joining ICPA, the school and all its activities have felt so relaxed. It can be almost paralleled with a vacation. No threat of gun or explosion.
“Jayden is checking the files he got from the factory yesterday. So far, he believes that three robots that ran yesterday have a target to be eliminated. Three robots, three people. Zetta Sonic must prepare to face the moment they appear again.”
“According to Jayden, it's because the robot itself is not ready. I told you Jayden was checking his files, ‘ right? He hopes to find a clue about it and the target soon.”
“We should have asked Filip Shah.” Then, Alex refuted his own idea. “Ah, had she not been a sycophant like her brother, this would have been easier. Nikola was more of a criminal than his sister. Filip had a good relationship with some of the top police officers as well as members of the government. This won't be easy.”
Tiger was pretty sure neither he nor Jayden had given Alex such detailed information. “You are looking for your own data? I'm impressed.”
“Knowing who your opponent keeps you a step away from danger.” Alex threw his gaze at the window that showed the twilight scene out there. “The bottom line is that I will only need to follow your training instructions, ‘kan?”
“Prepare yourself, as this will be much heavier than the first phase. Everything about physical exercise.” Tiger made a smile like a grin.
“Like first phase exercise is not about physical exercise.” Alex grinned back.
“Of course not. In this second phase of training, you will not be wearing combat uniforms at all. If you think that's not a problem, you better think again.”
Tiger's words made Alex start thinking no-no. The place they were going to was nothing more than an ordinary campground. Weight training in Alex's mind is just like drawing water and stuff. But, his trainer Tiger, a former wrestler. Maybe he was rethinking.
“Good,” Alex continued, “how about that agent? Gavin?”
“Jayden chose not to worry about it. Nadira himself has told others to check his profile. So far all we know is that the agent is on a one-month leave. That is, whatever he did here was not from the Regis branch ICPA's orders. Except, if he does a secret mission that even his own colleagues should not know.”
“Like Zetta Sonic?”
“Fins.”
“What does that mean I will also be able to take a month off?” Alex raised an eyebrow when he asked. Tiger shook his head, looking unwilling to answer. Alex also changed the question. “What according to Nadira, Gavin sent to investigate Zetta Sonic.”
“The chances are small. The mission given to you was not in the plan before. That's a new mission. Though, Gavin had already left Regis at least ten days ago. If you look at it, he wanted to kill you more yesterday than investigate you.” Tiger paused for a moment then laughed out loud. “Hahahaha..”
Alex shuddered in horror. “Tiger? Why are you suddenly laughing?”
Tiger had trouble stopping himself. “You .. Hahaha .. Haha ..”
“Stop! You scared me,” Alex half-whispered.
Tiger finally stopped laughing after a while. “You know why I laugh? I imagined your action yesterday. You're like a kitten in a snake cage. Your action is truly spectacular. In a different sense!”
Alex put on a look of annoyance. Just briefly. Next, he even grunted amusedly. “You're in charge of training me, ‘kan? Make sure my next action is faster to record on camera!”
Alex repeats a sentence he once heard from someone who should have been close to him. Mother herself. His mother was very careful about the presence of paparazzi. That's why he hired a lot of bodyguards. Sometimes when the actress's embarrassing actions are recorded, the bodyguard will make sure the recording disappears. His mother ended up saying such a thing.
Speaking of his mother, Alex remembers that his mother is coming home soon.
