The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Signal

The conversation ended there. Just when the door opened and Vanessa's doctor came in. He seemed happy that Alex had regained consciousness. Jayden resigned, giving the doctor a chance to re-examine Alex's condition. The ups and downs made everyone anxious. Especially Dr. Vanessa.

“Do you feel dizzy or sick?” ask Dr. Vanessa.

Alex shakes. “Just a little tired.”

“I have to admit that I have never had a patient like. But, right now, you're showing good progress, Alex. Your condition is much faster to recover than the first time out of the generator room. But, you still need a lot of rest.”

“I have to go to school.”

“I can write a license for you.”

Alex shakes. A permit from another doctor seems to carry suspicion in his home. “No strenuous activities in school. I'll be fine. So, I can still move as usual, ‘kan?”

Doctor Vanessa was silent for a moment, thinking. “I should also be able to monitor your condition from that bracelet ‘kan? I'll talk to Nadira.”

“Zet-Arm.” Alex glanced at the white bracelet that was still in his hand.

“Sorry. What?”

“The name I gave him.”

Doctor Vanessa smiled. “As Jayden said. You adjust well. I don't seem to have to worry,” he said, even if I realized it was two different things.

In a corner of the room, Alex can see Jayden accessing Flipad. He looked at his front screen and shook his head. Her reaction was like her when she saw the latest update of the game Drake and His Land. Curious and anxious at the same time. Next, Jayden opens Flipad to access all the features. Jayden's reaction is now as if he found a duck virus on his computer.

Hadn't had time to ask, Jayden had already poured out of the room.

Tiger's in the hallway. He was wearing a black suit commonly worn for field duty. “You got the message?”

“What is this!?”

“Nadira says you should have understood.”

“I understand. It's a coordinate point. It's in the sea of ice. Especially in a fish cannery. Why do we receive SOS signal here?”

“Instead it. Nadira says you should understand.”

“OK. I'm back in the room.”

Jayden walked down a similar hallway and went up to the floor where the room was. Computer room. He sat on the computer and began to make the intrusion starting from his own coordinate point, the name of the factory and the floor plan, to the owner.

[Jayden!]

Jayden flinched as Nadira's face appeared in the middle of his big screen. “You can make me have a heartache!”

[You should be here, not in Alex's room.]

“I'm checking her condition. You said we had to be compact partners.” Jayden sighing. His hand typed something and Nadira's image shifted to the edge of the screen. Jayden began to describe what he got before Nadira ranted. “Good. So, we got an SOS signal from the fish cannery, Harmui, about ten minutes ago. There are no members there. This signal is aimed directly at us.”

[The signal was aimed directly at the Zetta Sonic headquarters.]

“It is unlikely that this is a rough signal.”

[If it's a rough signal, I'll teach you a lesson!] Nadira piqued her lips. [How can anyone send an SOS signal to your place? The base was supposed to be secret. Except, someone hacked the system.]

Jayden shook his head quickly. “No. I didn't detect anything.”

“Hmmm ..” Jayden makes another intrusion. “This factory is not in Sinde. The factory is in Regis.” region Jayden was silent. He recalled his conversation with Alex about his father who worked as the head of ICPA Regis continent.

[If there's really nothing, maybe I should give this information to Mark. Hmh! I was lazy to contact him.]

“I don't think it's necessary.” Jayden pulled himself up and leaned back into the chair. “Nadira, I thought this SOS signal was a letter of challenge for Alex, the Zetta Sonic.”

[What do you get, Jayden?]

Tiger was behind Jayden, taking a step forward in order to see more clearly. Jayden has just enlarged the picture of fish canning alleys. There, there was a group of people wearing suits. They walked slowly behind an officer wearing a gray overalls uniform. One of them had thick hair that started to whiten. His stature was tall and well-built with neat whiskers. Tiger squinted his eyes.

Nadira came to gawk when Jayden sent the picture to her. [Mark?]

“Mark Hill is in that factory, Nadira. I checked Harmui's schedule. Looks like they're having a two-day visit overnight for the shareholders. Marcus Anthony Hill, his name is one of the official shareholders.”

Nadira bends her lips. As a secret organization, ICPA members are indeed advised to have another identity as a cover. The higher-ups usually take the role of entrepreneurs or shareholders of a company. Alex's father was one of them. However, the stock gains are clearly nothing compared to its earnings in the ICPA.

Tiger spoke up. “We have to notify ICPA there.”

[No!] Nadira quickly banned. [It would be complicated if they were to ask how we could get the SOS signal there.]

Jayden muttered softly while scowling. He knows how Nadira tried desperately to hide Zetta Sonic. Based on that thought, he was pretty sure that the situation would eventually get Alex stuck alone.

[Jayden, this isn't a challenge for Zetta Sonic. This is clearly a trap.]

Jayden nodded. Traps sound more appropriate than challenges.

[But, as long as Alex doesn't know about this, there shouldn't be a problem. Besides, the boy doesn't know about his father's identity yet, ‘kan?]

Jayden muttered again while avoiding Nadira's gaze.

Tiger asked. “So, we won't send people to check? I think I changed clothes too soon. What's your plan, Nadira?”

The screen in front of Jayden brings up another window. Alex's face appeared there. Before anyone asked what and how Alex got in there, he had spoken first. [I'm going to go. I have to make sure my dad is okay.]

Nadira glares. [No! You're not going anywhere without my permission, Alex! Jayden?]

Jayden didn't understand what Nadira meant by yelling at him. Whether because Nadira asked for an explanation of how Alex could find out about his father or because Alex suddenly entered their communication line. Whatever is right is not good for him.

[You don't want to tell ICPA Regis about this but you don't want to send me there either? We don't know who needs help there!] Alex sounded a little upset. His eyes are no less fierce than Nadira.

Tiger nudged Jayden on the shoulder who was still sitting on the swivel chair. “Do something.”

Jayden patted his forehead. “Taking them quiet? They can punch me!”

“Not virtually.”

Nadira remained silent.

Alex took a slow breath, lowering his tone. [Send me there. I'll check it out and come back as soon as possible.]

[You sound so sure of someone who just ran out of energy last night. Lucky for you, the Zetta Sonic operating team is always reliable. Can I count on you just as much as they do?]

Alex knows which way they're talking. [You will send me there with a certain agreement and conditions, ‘ right? Just mention it!]
