[Alex!] Jayden exclaiming.

Jason followed, just coming into battle.

Alex jerks. The robot just flew past him. He found his target. Bernard just got into another car. The driver of this car did not bother with the iron creature was flying towards him. He stepped on the gas immediately, welcoming the arrival of the robot.

The robot fired yet again. They hurt the car. The tire erupted. The car came out of the way, hit a tree on the side of the road. The robot was already hovering outside, preparing to issue another attack.

Shots in the air. Gavin's car is parked not far from the robot. The owner once again, was outside the car, firing shots from behind the door. The shot hit the abdomen of the robot but did not give any significant injuries.

While Bernard's men got out of the car, stumbling. Seeing the robots hovering in front of the car, these people ended up running in fear in search of each other's safety. Bernard himself did not dare to get out of the car. So, the robot also damaged the door of his car to get a clearer vision. His red eyes examined Bernard's frightened face, confirming that the person was right on target.

Gavin didn't stop firing. He was outside his car, no longer hiding. “Hey, killer robots! Look over here! Wh why? Too scared to face my gun?”

Gavin may try to attract attention by issuing provocative sentences. However, it is not so effective. The robot has got its target. And, no one will be able to stop him. So did Jason's attack. The drone spewed out tiny laser beams that have so far failed to hurt the robot's body.

Except, Zetta Sonic.

Alex was back in the air. His mind finally managed to ignore all his fear. He lunged at the robot before he could pull Bernard out of the car or shoot a laser inside. Alex realized that the robot's head had reopened. In an instant, the laser beam shot into the air. The distance is only a few millimeters from Alex's face. The hot air penetrated from the helmet to his skin.

Alex threw the robot's body onto the asphalt. He himself landed, slightly staggered back. The adrenaline is flowing. Half of him wanted to wait for his opponent to wake up. The other half want to go home soon.

Gavin approached Bernard, telling him to run into the forest or hide anywhere. At least, his people have come back to help. Bernard still shuddered in horror at the sight of the red-eyed robot starting to stand up. His head was no longer round like an egg, but rather dented. While the white-winged black figure in front of him was unmoved.

“Run! Fast!” shout Gavin.

Those people ran away from the battle.

Gavin points his gun at the killer robot. Something is wrong. The robot did not manage to stand perfectly. One of his legs had been crushed by Alex's previous attack. His stomach was also wounded by Gavin's shot. But, this last attack caused damage to the head. His red eyes occasionally blinked. There are sparks around the head and neck.

[Alex, I scanned for damage to the robot's system.] Jayden explained.

“What kind of damage?” Alex found his voice shaking.

[It looks like he can no longer detect where his target is.]

“A-- What do you mean?”

Alex gulped hard. At first, he was pretty sure that it would be him. Apparently not. The robot turned to the left side, far behind Alex, where Gavin was already preparing to fire with his weapon.

[Alex, drop the robot! He's after Gavin. The robot system is fucked. He detected a nearby human face and registered it as a new target.] Jayden sounded panicked. Alex's helmet-covered face clearly doesn't count the robot.

Alex could not think. He obeyed Jayden's orders. He raised his right hand only to find that he was no longer holding a laser gun. Alex realized that he had dropped him in the back. Far behind. In the position when the robot managed to penetrate the combat uniform and injure his body.

The robot has gone again. Gavin fired a meaningless streak of shots at the robot's body. Alex is back in pursuit. Without a gun, Alex just has his sword. That's better than nothing. Alex hastened himself.

Gavin ran behind the tree. The robot destroyed the tree with its laser weapon. The laser beam cuts the tree horizontally. It was fortunate that Gavin had lowered his head before the light also hit his head.

The robot did not stop there. He landed on top of Gavin. His hand clutched Gavin's neck. The robot's body and weight kept it locked on the ground. Red eyes re-identify the opponent. Gavin tried to fight back, but boxing and kicks didn't mean much. Moreover, his own weapon was thrown quite far away. The robot's hands tightened, suffocating Gavin.

The tiny drone flew close, firing meaningless shots.

“Hei!” Alex exclaims. This time, without a helmet. His sword was drawn forward. One swing is directed directly to the robot's neck.

Robot turning fast. His hand caught the sword. But, Alex's slash was much stronger. His attack cut off that hand. The robot is trying to detect Alex's face. As Alex had guessed, the chaotic system now detected Alex's face as a new target.

[Alex, what are you doing!?] Jayden protested.

Ignoring the protest, Alex immediately darted away. “Ke here, stupid robot!”

The robot followed the provocation. He chased after Alex who was flying at high speed. Alex is no longer wearing a protective helmet. A strong and cold wind slapped his face mercilessly. He had to take the robot far enough away from the crowd. Alex flew over his laser gun. His hand grabbed the weapon quickly. He turned around, shooting.

However, his opponent was faster. The robot has reopened its head. The little snout was vomiting out a laser beam. Alex tried to avoid it, but it was too late. His attack cut off half the wings of his rocket. It had to make a real emergency landing.

Alex tried to turn the helmet back on. However, the commands from his mind could not be clearly read. His mind was also in chaos. Without the helmet, Alex's head is no longer protected. Although he had covered his head with both hands, the impact still managed to make his temple bleed.

[Alex! Wake up!]

Alex stopped by the side of the road. His whole body hurts. Eyes blinked. He knew he was close enough to the bridge. Deep below, a dark and deep river stretched out. Alex was still gathering his consciousness when he felt his neck being gripped anyway.

At least he managed to turn away, facing the robot back. His hands were trying to clutch the robot's neck back. Although aware that this robot is not as clean as the robot he fought yesterday, the effort is still worth trying. Aided by Dragon Blood, the idea came to fruition. The red eyes of the robot twinkled randomly. When Alex thinks he's about to be released, Alex finds himself floating in the air.

The robot picked him up. They flew over the river and fell together.
